Little Succubus Transmigrates into a Fishing Type O - Chapter 18
Bai Ruanruan carried a paper bag containing Gu Jianyou’s shirt as she walked down the company hallway.
She glanced worriedly at the silk shirt stained with lipstick.
“How am I supposed to wash this…”
Frustrated, she searched online for cleaning methods.
Looking down at her phone, she accidentally bumped into someone striding toward her with aggressive energy, stumbling back half a step. The paper bag slipped from her grasp, and Gu Jianyou’s shirt spilled onto the floor.
Bai Ruanruan looked up to see Ju Yin blocking her path, eyes red with resentment.
Raising an eyebrow, Bai Ruanruan said coolly, “Oh, it’s you.”
Ju Yin bristled at her dismissive tone. “This is all your fault! Because of you, my family is forcing me to leave Liuguang Entertainment!”
Bai Ruanruan was baffled but remained composed as she bent down to gather the fallen shirt.
“What does that have to do with me?” she replied indifferently. “Gu Jianyou doesn’t like you. What’s the point of clinging to her like this?”
Ju Yin, furious, was about to retort when she suddenly noticed the shirt on the ground—clearly marked with Gu Jianyou’s scent!
Bai Ruanruan smirked at her. “What are you thinking?”
Ju Yin’s tongue stiffened. “You—you seduced Gu Jianyou into doing that in the office?!”
She could see it clearly—the shirt even had lipstick stains!
Absolutely shameless. What kind of behavior is this?
Bai Ruanruan didn’t deny it, smiling like a cunning little fox.
“Want to see the bite marks she left on my gland at the back of my neck?”
Ju Yin’s bl00d boiled with rage. Ignoring the colleagues passing by, she snatched the shirt from Bai Ruanruan’s hands—
This is too much. Far too much.
Tears of helpless fury streamed down Ju Yin’s face. She had secretly admired Gu Jianyou since high school, and now she was being humiliated by some nobody who came out of nowhere.
Employees passing through the hallway watched in shock.
The onlookers’ eyes were sharp—though they pretended to hurry along, their gazes were practically glued to the scene.
The high-end silk shirt, never meant to be durable, tore clean down the middle as Ju Yin and Bai Ruanruan tugged at it!
One shirt was now two ragged halves.
Ju Yin gasped and immediately let go, a delicate strip of silk fluttering to the floor.
She pointed at Bai Ruanruan, tears falling before she could even speak.
“You—this is all your fault! Causing such a disgraceful scene in the company!”
Even in anger, a well-bred young lady like her couldn’t bring herself to curse.
Bai Ruanruan picked up the ruined shirt and, under everyone’s watchful eyes, pulled out her phone and dialed Gu Jianyou.
The call connected instantly. “Ruanruan?”
Glancing at the tearful, furious Ju Yin, Bai Ruanruan pouted. “Sister, your dear secretary is bullying me. She yelled at me in front of everyone—so harshly.”
Though her face showed no tears, her trembling voice was enough to make hearts ache.
Ju Yin, still crying, covered her mouth in shock at the sheer audacity of this woman.
Bai Ruanruan lowered her lashes, feigning petulance. “I don’t like Ju Yin. Fire her, sister. It’s annoying having her hover around me all the time.”
Ju Yin: “!”
Every employee present stared in disbelief, but Bai Ruanruan’s delicate appearance was too pitiable—tears clinging to her lashes, her light-colored eyes glistening with a watery sheen, soft and vulnerable.
“Sister… am I being too spoiled?”
The phone line was silent for several seconds before Gu Jianyou calmly said, “I’ll have someone inform HR.”
Bai Ruanruan curled her lips into a smile and gave Juyin a playful look. “Thank you for indulging my unreasonable request, sister. As compensation, I’ll give you a surprise.”
Another pause came through the phone as Gu Jianyou’s breathing grew heavier, as if restraining something. “I’m busy. I’ll hang up now.”
Carrying a paper bag with the torn shirt, Bai Ruanruan brushed past Juyin, lightly tapping her shoulder and whispering just loud enough for her to hear, “If you like her, go after her, coward. Serves you right.”
The disdain in her eyes and the venom in her words made Juyin’s legs weaken. She barely caught herself on the desk to avoid collapsing. Turning to watch Bai Ruanruan’s retreating figure, she caught a faint trace of alluring pheromones in the air—the sweet scent of peaches, so intoxicating it made one want to devour it whole.
Juyin licked her dry, chapped lips as something fierce twisted inside her. Flushing with humiliation, she snapped at the gawking coworkers, “What are you looking at? Get back to work!”
…
That evening, Jiajia handed Bai Ruanruan an invitation. “The CEO has invited you to an industry banquet. Rumor has it all the big names in film will be there.”
Leaning back in her chair while a stylist arranged her long hair, Bai Ruanruan glanced at the evening gown Gu Jianyou had just sent over. Once dressed with the staff’s help, she asked, “Where are the necklace and earrings?”
Jiajia urged, “The CEO is waiting outside. Hurry up.”
Running her fingers over her bare neck and earlobes, Bai Ruanruan smirked as she slipped into her red-soled heels, her delicate ankles swaying beneath the dress’s hem.
In the car, she rested her chin on her hand, watching Gu Jianyou retrieve a velvet box from her purse. “I thought you’d be angry with me.”
Gu Jianyou hummed. “Why would I be?”
Bai Ruanruan tilted her neck forward, allowing Gu Jianyou to fasten the heavy jewelry. From outside the window, they might have looked like they were locked in an intimate embrace.
“I was too impulsive today,” Bai Ruanruan murmured. “Just because of a little friction, I made you fire Juyin.” Her peach-blossom eyes brimmed with feigned remorse. “Do you think I’m cruel?”
Gu Jianyou’s breath hitched as her fingers grazed the girl’s slightly swollen gland. Then she pressed down firmly.
“Ah—!” Bai Ruanruan’s pupils dilated, her body going limp against Gu Jianyou’s shoulder. “Sister?!”
Gu Jianyou continued applying measured pressure to the Omega’s delicate gland. “She wasn’t a good fit for the company anyway.” Her touch was like that of someone petting a prized cat, and Bai Ruanruan’s uneven breaths resembled contented purring.
But humans weren’t cats.
Bai Ruanruan gazed up at her with those tender, peach-blossom eyes, her skin flushed, lips parted. “As long as you’re not angry with me…”
Upon arriving at the banquet hall, Bai Ruanruan obediently trailed behind Gu Jianyou, surrounded by industry veterans she’d only ever seen on screens. Everyone discreetly scrutinized the new favorite at Liuguang Entertainment CEO’s side.
Bai Ruanruan held her head high under their scrutiny.
Waiters circulated with wine and champagne. Gu Jianyou elegantly took two glasses, handing one to Bai Ruanruan before bending close. “Don’t be nervous,” she murmured.
They mistook the girl’s silence for the nervousness and fluster of a newcomer.
The dark red liquid swirled in the wine glass. Under the scrutinizing gazes of the crowd, Bai Ruanruan’s wrist trembled slightly, spilling the fragrant wine onto her snow-white hand.
She had never shied away from being watched—in fact, the weight of so many eyes on her only excited her more.
The wine trailed from her knuckles down to the back of her hand, then further to her delicate wrist.
Gu Jianyou’s breathing grew heavier. That drop of red wine resembled molten lava rolling down a cliff, radiating a scorching heat that kept others at bay.
She averted her gaze, yet her peripheral vision captured even more.
It seemed the onlookers were also observing the scene, letting out faint gasps.
The grand chandelier overhead, the opulent crowd, the mingling scents of champagne and tobacco, the drifting pheromones in the air…
The entire banquet hall resembled a turbulent ocean. Gu Jianyou twisted the ring on her pinky finger with force, clinging to the last shred of her composure like a sailor gripping the only lifeline.
A moment later, reason yielded to impulse. The trail of wine left a glistening path along Bai Ruanruan’s forearm—winding and delicate. Gu Jianyou had never noticed how beautiful that slender arm was before.
She seized Bai Ruanruan’s wrist.
As if possessed, she pressed her lips to it, catching the drop of wine before it could trickle further down.
She tasted no wine—only the sweet fragrance of peaches.
Their breaths quickened, the weight of everyone’s stares making their hearts pound wildly.
Perhaps it was just a fleeting moment. Or perhaps everyone was watching.
Gu Jianyou pulled the girl into her arms. “Don’t be nervous. I’m here.”
Every inch of her closeness declared ownership over Bai Ruanruan,
making every guest aware of the girl’s significance.
Bai Ruanruan whimpered, “Sister, stop teasing—so many people are watching!”
The little Omega had been by her side every day, visible yet untouchable. Suddenly, Gu Jianyou nipped the soft inner side of Bai Ruanruan’s arm with her sharp teeth.
Then, with perfect elegance, she wiped the wine from Bai Ruanruan’s arm with a handkerchief, wearing an impeccable smile.
Yet Bai Ruanruan clearly saw the danger lurking in those eyes. Frightened, she lowered her gaze and tried to retreat—but there was nowhere to go.
Gu Jianyou held her fast, smiling. “You tore my shirt. How will you make it up to me?”
“There’s a dance in two minutes. If you haven’t thought of a way by the time it’s over… I’ll be very upset.”
