Little Succubus Transmigrates into a Fishing Type O - Chapter 21
“I was sleeping, sister. What did you need?”
Bai Ruanruan’s voice suddenly came through the phone, and Gu Jianyou gripped the device tightly. She had never realized how pleasant Bai Ruanruan’s voice could sound.
Gu Jianyou asked urgently, “Where are you right now?”
The girl on the phone let out a slow, drowsy yawn. “Since I couldn’t wait for you, I had to go back first. It’s so cold outside.”
Gu Jianyou slammed on the accelerator and sped straight toward Bai Ruanruan’s dorm.
Wind, frost, rain, and snow battered against the windshield as Gu Jianyou felt a wave of dizziness.
“Don’t hang up!” she shouted. “I’m coming to your dorm right now!”
Bai Ruanruan chuckled softly. “I’m always waiting for you, sister.”
Cold sweat trickled from her forehead down to her neck. Her heart felt as though it were being squeezed by an invisible hand, countless intense and burning desires trapped in a tiny cage. Gripping the steering wheel tightly, Gu Jianyou watched as the snow outside grew heavier, the streetlights blurring into indistinct glows.
She parked the car beneath Bai Ruanruan’s dormitory building, where the roadside lampposts were already coated in a thin layer of white snow.
“I’m sorry,” she forced out, her voice strained. “Something came up this afternoon. I should have picked you up myself.”
Gu Jianyou had never run so fast in her life—bursting out of the car, racing up the stairs, and stopping right in front of Bai Ruanruan’s door.
In the dimly lit hallway, a flicker of doubt suddenly crossed her mind.
Why didn’t Bai Ruanruan seem panicked or upset?
Her soft voice carried a teasing lilt, as though she wasn’t facing a lover who had broken a promise, but rather someone she was politely keeping at arm’s length.
Gu Jianyou stood before the closed door, a sliver of warm light seeping through the gap, along with the faint, intoxicating scent of sweet peaches—both comforting and addictive.
Breathing heavily, she knocked with trembling fingers. “I—I’m here.”
Her dark eyes couldn’t bring themselves to look directly at the door until it swung open completely. Inside, the soft aroma of scented candles mingled with the omega’s honeyed peach fragrance, enveloping the alpha, who had been drenched in the winter storm, in warmth.
Gu Jianyou closed her eyes briefly in comfort. Before her stood Bai Ruanruan, clad in a fluffy sleep set, the collar slipping off one shoulder.
A small, rounded stretch of pale, smooth skin peeked out, glowing flawlessly under the warm yellow light.
Wrapped in a blanket, Bai Ruanruan smiled. “Come in, sister.”
Gu Jianyou lowered her dark gaze, not daring to meet her eyes, and allowed herself to be pulled inside, standing stiffly in place.
“Ruanruan…”
Bai Ruanruan poured a cup of hot water. “Sister, please sit.”
The room was so quiet that the sound of snow falling on tree branches outside could be heard. Gu Jianyou held the teacup Bai Ruanruan had drunk from, the rim still bearing the faint imprint of her lipstick.
Her breathing grew rapid and heated as she took a small sip, the warmth driving away the chill clinging to her body.
“I’m sorry,” she murmured.
Bai Ruanruan sat on the edge of the bed, her soft toes resting on the cream-colored fleece blanket, her face still drowsy from sleep.
“What are you saying, sister? You never had any obligation to pick me up after work. For you to come all this way in the middle of the night—I’m the one causing you trouble.”
Gu Jianyou’s breath hitched. Setting the cup down, she seized the girl’s wrist, forcing the petite figure on the bed to look at her.
Bai Ruanruan gasped. “Sister, what are you doing?”
Her peach-blossom eyes shimmered with unshed tears, filled with both grievance and discomfort. Pinned beneath Gu Jianyou, she had no strength to resist—not even the slightest struggle was possible.
The little fox smiled in a way Gu Jianyou couldn’t see, then immediately resumed an innocent and pure expression.
Gu Jianyou carried a chill with her, her icy fingers gripping the girl’s wrist. “Ruanruan, don’t be like this.”
“I hope you can accept my apology… I can explain,”
Why did this girl have to be so understanding?
If she’d shown even a little temper, refused her at the door, or spoken harsh words, Gu Jianyou wouldn’t feel so guilty.
Red veins crept into Gu Jianyou’s eyes as she panted heavily like a beast chained by iron shackles.
She wanted to press Bai Ruanruan down forcefully, but feared her strength might leave lingering bruises on the girl’s delicate skin…
Bai Ruanruan’s light-colored eyes reflected Gu Jianyou’s image as she reached out to touch the alpha’s cold face, her fingers brushing the corner of her lips.
“I’ve been standing outside for so long, I’m quite cold now. Could sister fetch me some water to soak my feet?”
The girl’s soft jade-like feet pressed against Gu Jianyou’s shoulders, pushing her toward the edge of the bed.
In the narrow yet cozy room illuminated only by warm yellow lighting, the girl’s legs shone more touchable than warm jade under the glow.
Never in her life had Gu Jianyou been humiliated by having someone’s foot on her shoulder, yet she couldn’t muster any negative feelings—instead, she wanted to lift those feet and kiss them.
The alpha, controlled by instinct, suppressed the primitive urge in her eyes.
“Alright, I’ll fetch water right away.”
Watching the alpha enter the bathroom, Bai Ruanruan covered her mouth, silently laughing until she nearly toppled over.
……
The bathroom was the most private space in a home besides the bedroom. On the sink counter lay Bai Ruanruan’s daily hair clips and lipsticks…
Strands of Bai Ruanruan’s long hair floated in the basin.
Gu Jianyou forced herself not to touch anything belonging exclusively to Bai Ruanruan as she bent down to fill the wooden bucket with water.
Testing the temperature with her hand, she added some herbal sachets before carrying the heavy bucket to the bedside.
Kneeling on one knee on the carpet, Gu Jianyou felt the girl’s foot rest on her shoulder again.
Her body stiffened as she suddenly remembered the beautiful high heels in a paper bag beneath her office desk.
Helping someone try on shoes was the most legitimate way to touch their ankles. Gu Jianyou’s mind raced with thoughts of how to touch this beautiful omega more often.
Cradling the jade-like foot that had been on her shoulder, Gu Jianyou detected several times stronger pheromones emanating from the pink joints.
Not daring to make any improper moves, she properly placed both feet into the warm water.
In a hoarse voice, Gu Jianyou said, “Qin Yaoyao invited me to a bar party tomorrow. May I go?”
Bai Ruanruan looked down imperiously at the alpha diligently massaging her feet.
“Sister’s legs belong to sister—why wouldn’t you be able to go?” The girl playfully splashed water with her toes, droplets landing on Gu Jianyou’s face.
“We met at a bar, didn’t we?”
Gu Jianyou explained softly, “It’s just some juniors attending. I’ll just make an appearance.”
Even Gu Jianyou herself didn’t realize her current behavior was no different from reporting to a wife.
Bai Ruanruan said generously, “Social connections are important in your upper-class circles. Sister should go.”
Gu Jianyou suddenly looked up, accidentally squeezing the girl’s sole too hard in her distraction. “You agree?”
Bai Ruanruan clicked her tongue and pressed her damp foot directly onto Gu Jianyou’s chest, leaving a wet footprint on the striped shirt beneath.
Gu Jianyou, feeling guilty toward her, indulged the girl’s behavior.
Bai Ruanruan smiled. “Of course I agree.”
A flicker of disappointment passed through Gu Jianyou’s eyes as she took a towel and gently wiped away the water droplets from the feet that had been soaked pink.
She stood up to pour out the hot water from the wooden bucket, her voice muffled as it came from the bathroom,
“Has anyone else touched your feet besides me?”
Gu Jianyou was born into a rather traditional family. “A girl’s feet are important—they shouldn’t be touched by others.”
Bai Ruanruan, warm and snug in bed, hugged the blanket and nearly laughed.
A slender black tail with a heart-shaped tip swayed slightly in the air behind her.
“Only you, sister.”
Gu Jianyou let out a sigh of relief. “It’s late, I…”
There were still two hours until dawn. Gu Jianyou glanced at the cozy bed, then at the thick layer of snow outside.
Bai Ruanruan turned over, her back facing her, a toe still flushed red peeking out from under the covers.
“It’s late, sister. You should go back.”
A faint disappointment settled in Gu Jianyou’s heart, her palm still tingling with the softness of Bai Ruanruan’s foot.
“Alright, I’ll go then.”
She lingered at the door like a forlorn puppy, greedily inhaling the scent of fresh peaches—so delicate it seemed it could vanish at a touch.
Just as she opened the door to leave, a voice suddenly called from behind,
“There are two peaches by the door. It’s too cold for me to eat them—you take them.”
Gu Jianyou looked over and saw two plump peaches, each nearly the size of her palm, their quality impeccable. The fuzzy skin felt pleasant to the touch.
Even through the peel, the fragrance was nearly indistinguishable from an Omega’s scent.
Her voice came out hoarse, as if all the filthy thoughts in her heart had suddenly been exposed to sunlight, leaving nowhere to hide.
Clutching the peaches, she hurried to leave—but her gaze betrayed her, stealing one last glance at Bai Ruanruan lying sideways on the bed.
Her fingers dug into the soft flesh of the peaches, nearly piercing through.
……
“If you don’t eat those peaches soon, they’ll rot.”
Liang leaned against Gu Jianyou’s desk. “You’ve been holding onto them like some kind of offering. What’s the deal?”
Liang had come to discuss work matters, nudging her friend up. “The car’s ready—let’s head to the bar.”
Gu Jianyou tucked the peaches into her handbag, then sniffed her fingers, still carrying the faint, sweet scent of peach skin.
She glanced at Liang. “Bai Ruanruan gave them to me.”
Liang looked from the peaches to her, then made an indescribable expression—
Like she was staring at a complete degenerate…
“Fruit has an expiration date, you… whatever. Respect and blessings.” Liang checked the time with a twitch of her lips.
“Anyway, it’s getting late. The girls are waiting for us.”
Gu Jianyou wasn’t fond of chaotic places like bars. If not for the invitation from family friends, she wouldn’t have set foot in one for years.
She and her childhood friend settled into a secluded booth. Distracted, Gu Jianyou cradled one of the peaches in her hand, rolling it absently.
Liang stared at her like she’d seen a ghost. “With all these pretty girls around, you’re fixated on a damn peach? You—”
Gu Jianyou lit a cigarette. “Why did Bai Ruanruan give me these peaches?”
CEO Liang remarked, “Is there a possibility she’s just stringing you along?”
She paused before adding, “I’ve mentioned before that Bai Ruanruan is a high-level player—it’s like dimensional warfare against someone who’s never been in a relationship.”
Gu Jianyou exhaled a wisp of smoke. “She’s different with me.”
CEO Liang: “?”
Gu Jianyou shot her a frosty glance, unwilling to continue the topic. “At least Bai Ruanruan hasn’t let anyone else touch her feet.”
CEO Liang: “.”
Her childhood friend seemed lovestruck—how bizarre. She wasn’t sure and took another glance.
Among the boisterous crowd of young women, Qin Yaoyao stood out. While others wore either miniskirts or thigh-baring shorts with boots, she was properly dressed in a long skirt, looking like someone reluctantly dragged along.
Hesitantly picking up a glass, Qin Yaoyao said, “I don’t usually drink.”
The girls around her coaxed, “A few sips won’t get you drunk.”
Qin Yaoyao’s typically gentle and elegant face now bore a hazy flush, her bright eyes gazing dazedly at Gu Jianyou. “Cousin?”
Staggering forward with the girls’ encouragement, one teased, “Haven’t you always liked CEO Gu? Now’s your chance to confess while drunk!”
Qin Yaoyao’s refined expression grew more conflicted yet eager, resembling a lovestruck innocent girl.
Gu Jianyou warily stepped back, the air thick with mixed pheromones. “Enough.”
Qin Yaoyao, already unsteady from just two sips, fumbled for a room card to slip into Gu Jianyou’s pocket.
Gu Jianyou immediately returned it. “You’re drunk.”
CEO Liang watched with amusement—previously, these girls wouldn’t dare approach Gu Jianyou. Perhaps Bai Ruanruan’s presence had given them false hope.
Qin Yaoyao stared at the returned card, eyes welling up. “Cousin…?”
As the girl looked ready to cry, Gu Jianyou coolly said, “Have fun. I’m leaving.”
Standing dejected, a glint of sober calculation flashed in Qin Yaoyao’s eyes—unlikely for someone truly drunk. “Last night, cousin stayed up late helping me find photos. I haven’t properly apologized yet. Would you honor me with dinner?”
Unlike Gu Jianyou’s rising success, Qin Yaoyao’s scholarly family, though producing many artists, remained far from true wealth. As the middle child of her father’s second marriage, she was often overlooked, destined for a mediocre marriage. Her only leverage was childhood ties to Gu Jianyou and her mother, hoping to rekindle that connection.
At the mention of last night, Gu Jianyou’s expression darkened—remembering how her Omega had waited in the cold, forced to swallow her anger. The memory pained her.
Coldly, Gu Jianyou replied, “No need for dinner. I’m busy. Make an appointment next time.” Were it not for her aunt’s relation, she wouldn’t spare Qin Yaoyao another glance.
Gu Jianyou left the bar, and President Liang followed closely behind, quickly catching up to ask, “What’s going on with you today?”
Standing by the roadside, Gu Jianyou hesitated to get into the car, worried that the mixed scents on her might be detected by Bai Ruanruan. She decided to let the wind disperse them first.
Lowering her gaze, Gu Jianyou gently stroked the peach in her hand and briefly recounted what had happened the previous day.
President Liang was baffled, “So you’re saying Bai Ruanruan got angry because you didn’t pick her up on time?”
Gu Jianyou fell silent, “It seems like she was angry, but not entirely.”
President Liang: ?
As the bar opened for the evening, luxury cars gradually filled the entrance, and the crowd swelled. After letting the wind carry away her scent, Gu Jianyou buttoned up her coat and got into the car.
She picked up her phone, waking the screen repeatedly only to watch it dim again.
President Liang was at a loss for words, “Let me give you some advice—this situation calls for a doctor.”
Gu Jianyou gave her a cool glance, “No need.”
Twisting the emerald pinky ring on her finger, she mused, “If Bai Ruanruan weren’t angry, she would have sent me photos of her dinner as usual today.”
President Liang: “.”
Clearly uninterested in her friend’s input, Gu Jianyou muttered to herself, “But if Bai Ruanruan were truly angry, she wouldn’t have left two peaches for me either.”
President Liang’s lips twitched, as if realizing how tiresome it was to be around someone in love.
Disdainful yet hesitant to voice it, she said, “Gu Jianyou, you’re done for.”
She quickly exited the car, taking deep breaths on the street as if to recover from the suffocating atmosphere moments ago.
Unfazed by her friend’s contempt, Gu Jianyou stepped on the gas and drove straight to Bai Ruanruan’s dormitory.
In the car were freshly delivered double-petaled lilies, the unsent sapphire iris brooch from last time, and a pair of high heels.
…
The night was still.
Parked below the dormitory, Gu Jianyou noticed the light in Bai Ruanruan’s room was on.
Silently closing the car door, she ascended the steps and placed the heavy paper bag full of flowers in front of Bai Ruanruan’s door.
Warm yellow light spilled through the door crack. Taking a deep breath, Gu Jianyou resisted the urge to knock.
She stood motionless in the empty hallway, her dark eyes unsettling to behold.
The quiet corridor was filled with the elusive, inescapable scent of an Omega, clinging like a parasite.
It was a vast spiderweb—no Alpha who entered could escape its tightly woven fate.
The suffocating sensation was ever-present, a sweet and alluring trap that lured instinct-driven Alphas to offer their sincerest devotion.
With reddened eyes, Gu Jianyou stared intently at the door until, seconds later, it opened.
A barefoot girl in pajamas reached out with slender fingers and lifted the heavy paper bag brimming with flowers.
The exquisite double-petaled lilies paled in comparison to Bai Ruanruan’s beauty as she leaned forward, her peach-blossom eyes darting around in confusion.
“Did sister send these?”
“Sister?”
Hiding in the shadows, Gu Jianyou’s heart pounded wildly, her entire body tense with nerves, bl00d rushing in her ears.
Not even billion-dollar deals had ever made her this tense—her palms were now slick with cold sweat.
The girl closed the door, cutting off Gu Jianyou’s longing gaze.
The poor little Omega had no idea that her every move had fallen into the watchful gaze of the scheming Alpha.
Equally pitiful was the Alpha, completely unaware that the cunningly alluring Omega was feigning innocence while having long guessed her prey was nearby.
As the door gently clicked shut, Gu Jianyou suppressed the urge to burst through and sink her sharp fangs into the gland at the back of the girl’s neck.
Instead, she grabbed a peach from her bag and took a vicious bite—
The sweet aroma of peach filled the air as juice flooded her mouth, rich and fragrant. Translucent nectar trickled down the corner of her lips onto her neck.
Gu Jianyou devoured the peach flesh ravenously—she’d never loved peaches this much in her entire life.
Within moments, only the small pit remained of what had been a palm-sized peach.
Closing her eyes in frustration, her teeth itched with the need to sink into something more pliant.
She grabbed another peach from her bag—
Her eyes burned with restrained madness, veins standing out on her hands as the sound of teeth tearing into peach flesh echoed through the hallway. Gu Jianyou shut her eyes in despair.
Bai Ruanruan leaned against the cold door, mischievously caressing a peach of her own.
With one hand, she tapped open a messaging app on her phone, typed a line, then turned it off.
The girl washed her peach clean under running water, rolling the plump fruit in her palm before rubbing it against her neck.
The pink peach pressed against her Omega gland…
“Ah—” A soft moan escaped the little succubus’ throat.
…
Outside, Gu Jianyou’s phone pinged.
The Alpha looked utterly disheveled—peach juice everywhere, a suspiciously red piece of peel still clinging to her tongue.
The screen’s glow illuminated her face as she quietly read the message:
Bai Ruanruan: Thank you for the flowers and gifts, sister. It’s peach season now, and I still have some at home…
Gu Jianyou’s grip made the phone creak in protest.
She couldn’t recall how she left the dormitory or got home, moving mechanically through a shower to wash off the sticky peach juice.
Gu Jianyou didn’t dare close her eyes all night.
The imagined scent of pheromones filled her room until, just before sunrise, she finally collapsed into exhausted sleep.
…
“CEO, here’s today’s schedule for your review,” the secretary placed the itinerary before her boss. “This afternoon you’ll be meeting Director Li from the company our investment department approved last week.”
Days of sleepless nights had left Gu Jianyou with faint shadows under her eyes, her demeanor icier than usual.
“The company has some connections to the Qin family,” the secretary continued, “and their internal management is rather chaotic.”
Gu Jianyou nodded, stepping out of the car. The cold air hit her face, inexplicably reminding her of that snowy night.
“Has Bai Ruanruan been drinking her tonic regularly?”
The secretary nodded. “Miss Bai appears much healthier lately.”
A noncommittal hum. “The film crew must be working hard.”
Following the nervous escort into the conference room, Gu Jianyou froze upon seeing two startlingly familiar figures.
Ju Yin stood holding documents, while Qin Yaoyao—dressed in demure business attire—offered an apologetic smile:
“President Gu, what a coincidence.”
Gu Jianyou glanced over indifferently and instinctively took half a step back, unwilling to let any scent other than Bai Ruanruan’s pheromones cling to her.
Chairman Li exclaimed in surprise, “I had no idea President Gu and Miss Qin were acquainted. This is Consultant Qin from the Qin Group, whose mediation was crucial in finalizing this investment proposal.”
Qin Yaoyao smiled even more shyly, “I caused you trouble yesterday, President Gu. I can’t hold my liquor well—you must have found me quite ridiculous.”
Though she addressed her formally as “President Gu,” those beautiful eyes clearly cried out “cousin” instead.
Ju Yin snorted coldly,
instantly making the atmosphere in the conference room turn peculiar.
Her gaze at Gu Jianyou held none of the infatuation she’d once harbored—upon closer inspection, it rather resembled the look one might give a romantic rival…
A colleague beside her whispered, “What’s wrong?”
Ju Yin, who was about to go abroad and held higher status in their circles than Qin Yaoyao, had no need to save face for anyone present.
She remarked just loud enough for all to hear, “Faking a chance encounter, speaking half-truths—I wouldn’t stoop to using such cheap seduction tactics.”
Qin Yaoyao paled, her gentle smile freezing momentarily.
Gu Jianyou: “.”
When the meeting finally ended, Gu Jianyou rubbed her tired brow. “Any other arrangements this afternoon?”
Her secretary shook her head. “Non-urgent documents have been sent to your inbox. Will you be returning to the office or…?”
Gu Jianyou: “Let’s go to the filming set. I promised to watch Bai Ruanruan’s shoot.”
The secretary immediately pulled up Bai Ruanruan’s shooting schedule and tentatively added:
“Today’s scene involves Bai Ruanruan’s character Jiang Xue being forcibly taken by a supporting character in an enclosed Ferris wheel cabin… Are you certain you want to watch, President?”
Gu Jianyou: “?”
An enclosed space? Forcibly taken?
After a long pause, Gu Jianyou stood up and said in a low voice, “I’m going.”
