Little Succubus Transmigrates into a Fishing Type O - Chapter 6
A Different Name?
Bai Ruanruan stared blankly at Gu Jianyou. Though both were women, the person before her exuded an entirely opposite pheromone—cold, sharp, and composed.
She was the lofty CEO of a conglomerate, the sole heir to the chairman, an alpha who only needed to stand there to draw countless admirers.
With such a high-ranking alpha cupping her cheeks, Bai Ruanruan had no choice but to tilt her head up, tears glistening in her eyes.
Her voice trembling with tears, she asked, “What should I call you?”
Gu Jianyou didn’t answer. Instead, her fingers trailed slowly from Bai Ruanruan’s jaw to her ear, tucking away a stray lock of hair.
The young girl was lost in her character’s sorrow, crying so hard her voice broke, her eyes reddened—
Like a little rabbit bullied to its limit, exposing its vulnerable belly.
Tears clung to her lashes as Bai Ruanruan shakily whispered, “Can I call you… sister?”
Gu Jianyou’s fingers pressed lightly against the gland at the back of the girl’s neck.
“You may.”
“Ah—” Bai Ruanruan let out a short gasp.
A rich, sweet peach-like pheromone instantly flooded the room.
Mirrors surrounded them, reflecting from every angle Bai Ruanruan’s dazed, unfocused eyes.
Gu Jianyou gave her no room to struggle further, speaking with the detached calm of a judge.
“Didn’t you say you wanted me to watch your crying scene? Continue.”
……
Jiajia: “Bai Ruanruan, why hasn’t the CEO come to see you lately?”
While organizing resources for Bai Ruanruan, Jiajia took on the role of a temporary assistant, tying her hair into a pretty bow.
“By the way, the tonic they’ve been sending you has changed.”
Bai Ruanruan paused from silently rehearsing her script. “Changed?”
Jiajia: “It’s red date and goji berry chicken soup now. Doesn’t taste bitter at all—I took a whiff earlier, and it’s sweet. There are even chestnuts in it.”
A faint smile tugged at Bai Ruanruan’s lips. “I heard there’s a crying scene today. Tell the director I’m ready.”
Jiajia cheerfully went to inform the director. “Honestly, Bai Ruanruan is the most skilled actress I’ve ever worked with. It’s hard to believe she’s never acted before.”
Director Zheng: “The acting coach praised her as a natural. No technique, but every expression she makes captivates.”
As he spoke, he stood up and glanced outside the set.
The empty roadside showed no parked cars.
Director Zheng frowned. “The CEO hasn’t been visiting lately?”
Jiajia whispered worriedly, “Could it be… she’s found someone new?”
Director Zheng shook his head. “I’ve known the CEO for years. She’s relied on suppressants all this time—she doesn’t have any lovers.”
Gu Jianyou had no scandals in the industry, practically the poster child for asexuality.
Some online even speculated her pheromones were defective.
Jiajia couldn’t help but glance sympathetically at Bai Ruanruan, who was rehearsing with a supporting actor.
The affections of those in power came and went like the wind. To be suddenly abandoned like this—how painful it must be.
After finishing a scene, Bai Ruanruan happened to receive the chicken soup delivered by a private kitchen.
The soup was served in a small clay pot, wrapped in foil. Along with chestnuts, red dates, and goji berries, it contained milder herbs like ginseng, astragalus, and longan.
Bundled in a fluffy coat, Bai Ruanruan took small sips of the tonic.
Surrounded by bustling staff members, Bai Ruanruan sipped her tonic while memorizing her lines.
At some point, the people in front of her had all disappeared.
In the chilly air, she caught a faint, sharp floral fragrance.
She looked up and suddenly saw Gu Jianyou standing before her.
It had been over half a month since they last met. After that day in the practice room when Gu Jianyou watched her cry during a scene, she had seemingly vanished—until now.
Gu Jianyou silently observed the girl with innocent eyes before her. From her vantage point, she could see the slight protrusion of the gland at the nape of Bai Ruanruan’s neck.
A single press, and it would release pheromones so intoxicating they could make one’s fingers twitch with hunger.
Gu Jianyou’s tongue grazed her sharp teeth.
She was holding back.
Bai Ruanruan shyly murmured, “Sister.”
The way she called her was soft and sweet, like sticky rice.
Gu Jianyou responded hoarsely, “The director said working with you has been a pleasure.”
With the staff nowhere in sight, the two were left alone. Gu Jianyou’s throat felt dry as she awkwardly explained,
“I’ve been busy lately—business trips abroad. I didn’t have time to come see you.”
As the CEO, she had no obligation to justify her schedule to anyone. Gu Jianyou wasn’t lying—she truly had been occupied. But she had also deliberately avoided Bai Ruanruan, trying to escape the effect of the girl’s pheromones on her.
Every time she got close to Bai Ruanruan, it was like an addiction—no amount of contact ever felt like enough.
Bai Ruanruan’s clear peach-blossom eyes concealed her emotions. “Sister, you’re busy with work. It’s only natural you wouldn’t have time for me. For an unknown actress like me, just receiving your favor is already an incredible blessing.”
Gu Jianyou’s throat tightened. That wasn’t what she wanted to say.
She knew this girl had no intention of clinging to her for personal gain.
Yet the same considerate words that would sound pleasing from any lover felt like a sharp blade stabbing into her already bleeding heart when spoken by Bai Ruanruan.
Bai Ruanruan continued gently, “Sister, you have so many people around you. I must be the least noticeable among them. You probably only noticed me because of that… reckless night. But in truth, I’m no different from any other actress.”
Gu Jianyou stood frozen, lips pressed together.
Her breathing grew ragged, her fingers restlessly twisting the ring on her pinky.
The girl’s lips moved, but Gu Jianyou could barely hear the infuriating words that followed.
Through gritted teeth, she said, “Don’t belittle yourself!”
She gripped Bai Ruanruan’s wrist tightly. “You’re different from anyone else.”
The wrist in her grasp was so slender it seemed it could snap with a single twist, the skin smoother than silk. Unconsciously, Gu Jianyou stroked it several times—until the delicate inner side turned pink.
The girl flinched. “Sister…?”
Gu Jianyou lowered her gaze. She had frightened the delicate Omega. She should have released her wrist and soothed her, but instead, she brought the soft hand to her lips and kissed it.
Cradling Bai Ruanruan’s wrist and the back of her hand with both hands, she looked like a knight kissing a princess—or a serpent coiling around an apple.
Bai Ruanruan gasped and immediately covered her mouth. “Sister—!”
Gu Jianyou greedily tasted the sweet pheromones on Bai Ruanruan’s skin with her tongue.
“I’ve been too busy these days. There’s no one else by my side, and I never meant to neglect you.”
Her nose brushed against Bai Ruanruan’s hand as her dark, intense eyes locked onto the girl’s.
Bai Ruanruan nodded softly, murmuring, “I understand how you feel, sister.”
Gu Jianyou gently wiped Bai Ruanruan’s hand with a handkerchief. “I was too abrupt today.”
Bai Ruanruan shook her head and pushed the contract Jiajia had brought toward Gu Jianyou. “This afternoon, I have a shoot for a nightgown ad.”
She smiled at her. “Would you like to come watch?”
Gu Jianyou glanced at the photo of the nightgown clipped to the contract. From the front, it was a modest silk spaghetti-strap dress, but the back was completely open, revealing skin all the way down to the hipbone.
Gu Jianyou had no room to refuse.
Bai Ruanruan picked up a lipstick she had just used and lightly applied it to Gu Jianyou’s lips.
“Do you want to see me in sleepwear?”
The lipstick on Gu Jianyou’s lips had smudged from their earlier kiss.
She didn’t answer.
Bai Ruanruan carefully traced the lipstick over Gu Jianyou’s cupid’s bow, leaving behind her own scent.
“Are you hinting that I should accept your… special arrangements?”
“I wouldn’t know how… but I could learn. Just like others do.”
After a long silence, Gu Jianyou rasped, “I’m not hinting at that!”
Before Bai Ruanruan could even finish evening out the lipstick, Gu Jianyou turned and fled in embarrassment.
Naturally, she didn’t see the previously demure girl silently laughing until she nearly doubled over.
……
“Bai Ruanruan, it looks like the CEO really has feelings for you,” Jiajia said as she led her to the shooting set.
“She personally arranged a dedicated makeup artist and private dressing room for you.”
Bai Ruanruan sighed. “A CEO’s affection comes fast and leaves faster. Who knows if she’ll just latch onto the next pretty girl she sees?”
Jiajia hesitated. “Probably not. In all my years in this industry, I’ve never seen her treat anyone as well as she treats you.”
Relieved that Bai Ruanruan wasn’t the type to lose her head over romance, Jiajia urged, “The CEO’s waiting outside for you. Go change.”
Bai Ruanruan swept her long hair aside, studying the intricate red patterns trailing down her back in the full-length mirror. She slipped into a creamy white nightgown.
It made her skin look even fairer, while the crimson marks on her back stood out vividly.
The brand representatives watched nervously as Gu Jianyou, who had no apparent reason to be there, stood silently nearby.
“Madam…?”
The advertising director broke out in a cold sweat.
Gu Jianyou said calmly, “Don’t mind me.”
The director: “……?”
With the CEO of Liuguang Entertainment standing there, no one could ignore her. The director had no choice but to present the shooting plan with forced composure.
“Today’s concept is a sweet, homely vibe. We need the ambassador to exude youthful energy for the brand.”
Gu Jianyou skimmed the script the director had prepared. “Is Bai Ruanruan ready?”
Earlier, Bai Ruanruan’s mention of special arrangements had unsettled her—yet those words had also hooked her into coming to the set.
What else could a powerful alpha want, taking such an interest in a rising omega, if not for those kinds of intentions?
But Gu Jianyou hated that term.
Bai Ruanruan was too innocent, too earnest, just trying to make her way in the entertainment industry without any greed.
It only made Gu Jianyou feel like some lecherous, sleazy boss drowning in filthy thoughts.
While they were discussing, Bai Ruanruan walked over barefoot on the plush carpet. Her milky-white silk slip dress shimmered brilliantly under the lights no matter how you looked at it. The back was fastened with a bow, but now the ribbons hung loosely on either side, exposing large areas of her back that drew everyone’s attention. The intricate red patterns trailing down her back added an indescribable allure to this otherwise innocent sleepwear.
Bai Ruanruan fretfully pressed a hand to her chest as she presented her completely bare back to Gu Jianyou.
“Big sister, could you help me tie the bow?”
