Lord of Mysteries: The Cultivator - Chapter 11
Sonia Sea, Passenger Ship Heading to Bikini Beach
“Heh heh, although this mission had a few twists and turns, we had a huge harvest!”
From the Rose School stronghold, they obtained the potion formulas for the ‘Aberrant’ Pathway from Sequence 9 to Sequence 4, as well as a large amount of Beyonder materials.
The Beyonder Characteristic and Sealed Artifact of the ‘Revenant’ belonged to Quinn. He planned to use them as raw materials for alchemy after advancing to Sequence 4 ‘Ancient Alchemist,’ and he really didn’t think much of the remaining items.
“It’s just that this thing is a bit troublesome…”
Quinn raised his hand and touched his eye socket. In the dark, narrow double cabin, unseen by anyone, his pupils were wrapped in twisting madness.
His Sequence 8 ‘Physician’ possessed the ability to suture souls.
So, at this moment, he could clearly perceive that his spirituality was irresistibly contaminated under the pincer attack of the Sealed Artifact ‘Cradle’ that he brought and the Sealed Artifact made from the ‘Revenant’ Jun Lanlakitsde’s eyeballs.
Fortunately, the effects of this contamination were not severe. If he could keep his emotions stable and not over-consume his spirituality at this time, he could still hold on until he returned to Bikini Beach to pray to the Mother Goddess for help.
From the Rose School stronghold to the passenger ship, they spent a quarter of a day. During this time, Quinn had been suppressing the rampant desires in his heart.
In a trance, he seemed to feel a certain call from the eternal starry sky. This call made him feel intimate, instinctively wanting to merge with the source of the call.
At this moment, he thought of Father Utravsky, who was sitting silently in the upper bunk like a mountain, doing who knows what, and he cracked a suppressed smile.
“Poke…”
Father Utravsky, whose sturdy body in the upper bunk looked like it might crush the bed, was bowing his head in prayer when he suddenly felt something secretly poke his butt through the crack in the bed board and then quickly retract.
He immediately understood who the culprit was and said in a low voice with resignation: “Bishop Quinn, please don’t be mischievous.”
“Heh heh heh…”
“Mischievous?”
Suddenly, Quinn’s voice came from the ceiling of the cabin, and Utravsky abruptly looked up.
He saw half of Quinn’s face slowly emerging above his head. All his facial features were replaced by wiggling, iron-black wood, inextricably mixed with the remaining flesh and skin. When his mouth opened and closed, a bl00d-red fasci-flower (flower of fascia/connective tissue) replaced the position of his tongue, closing and then blossoming.
Faces appeared from his front, back, side, and bottom!
The metallic stench of bl00d and the sweet fragrance of pollen made one want to vomit.
“I’ll take your flesh!”
“What?!” Utravsky’s pupils suddenly contracted to pinpoints. The sight before him made him disbelieve that a Sequence 5 ‘Druid’ had turned into a monster silently.
He quickly opened his mouth, wanting to spit out the words “Dawn Light,” but then he heard Quinn’s hearty laugh again.
The hideous faces around him dissipated into nothingness. Bishop Utravsky seemed to understand something, and his expression slowly turned helpless.
“Hahaha… I’m sorry. To fight off the madness, I have to crack some jokes to distract myself, eh heh (^з^)-☆”
Why don’t I have to do this when I fight against my past personality?
I feel like you just want to play tricks on me… Father Utravsky almost wanted to break Quinn’s leg at this point to prevent him from taking any more erratic actions.
However, due to the possibility of a concealed “loss of control,” he dared not completely relax. He leaned down to the lower bunk, gazed intently at Quinn, and slowly asked, “Bishop Quinn, do you still remember the Mother Goddess’s honorific name?”
“Ugh, so annoying.” Quinn sighed. How could I not remember the Mother Goddess’s honorific name?
He fluently chanted: “The God of Roots…”
“The Mother of All Things…”
“The Womb of Corruption…”
Quinn paused, his expression becoming somewhat entranced, and he continued to chant in a low voice: “The Fallen Mother Goddess…”
“The Mother of Evil…”
“The Undying One… Eh?”
Utravsky’s pupils instantly shrank to the size of a needlepoint. He didn’t hesitate to use the ability of a Sequence 6 “Dawn Knight,” summoning a set of “Dawn Armor” onto himself. He reached out with both hands and grasped the solidified “Dawn Greatsword” in his hand!
He swung the greatsword forward like a hurricane. At this moment, a terrifying aura suddenly burst forth from Quinn’s body!
This aura purged everything, shattered Utravsky’s “Dawn Armor,” dispersed the “Dawn Greatsword” in his hand, and violently knocked him flying, crashing through the layered cabin walls. His exceptional physical quality still could not withstand it, and he fell into a coma.
This is the aura of a Deity.
Quinn clearly felt that the unknown existence was using the connection between them to descend upon this world by occupying his body!
“He” and that unknown existence seemed to originate from the same source!
“He’s” figure slowly changed, and his spirituality was frantically being dyed feminine by the aura. A giant female phantom appeared behind him!
“Will… not… let… you succeed…”
Quinn used the connection of the same origin with the unknown existence, desperately maintaining the last shred of his consciousness. He slowly pulled out the golden-yellow talisman hidden in his trousers, and hissed hoarsely: “Wooo…hoo… lift off!”
His body was lifted by an unknown force, then penetrated the cabin wall, and rushed toward the infinitely vast sea.
At this moment, the aura of the Deity temporarily ceased its influence on the passenger ship, causing the wooden structural parts of the ship to stop their frantic growth.
The passenger ship at this time looked like a rainforest growing on the sea surface, covered with twisted and horrifying plants, and the fate of the people inside was unknown.
“Return… to My embrace…”
The Deity’s words came from the distant starry sky. A blurry shadow suddenly appeared in front of Quinn’s eyes—
This shadow seemed to be rooted in space. As it wriggled, endless feminine power was spewed out, sowing the seeds of spirituality into the silent cosmic space.
Snap! Snap! Quinn urged his power, sprouting two vines from his skull, forcibly pushing out his own eyeballs, and then twisting them into an explosion!
He didn’t expect this method to resist the Deity’s whisper, but he only sought to use the pain to buy a moment of clarity.
Pain, intense pain. Although the pain that went straight to his marrow made him open his mouth and want to cry out loud.
Yet not a single tear could flow from his two empty eye sockets.
Very fortunately, the soul-tearing pain brought back a small part of his consciousness, and an icy, bone-chilling sensation also came from the pitch-black world—he was sliding down into the endless abyss of the ocean.
Amidst the Deity’s whispers, some information also entered his chaotic mind.
His consciousness drifted above the distant and ancient starry sky, and he was about to merge with that unknown existence. At that moment, he understood, “Her” name was—
The Fallen Mother Goddess!
At the moment of fusion, he finally understood why merely chanting the honorific name could directly attract Her descent: Because he was a part of Her that had separated ten thousand years ago!
At the moment of sinking into the deep sea, he felt an unfamiliar yet familiar great power gradually “returning” to his body.
At this moment, a great sadness of losing himself flooded his heart, but he could not shed a single tear.
In the last moment before falling into darkness, Quinn Flitt used his final strength to chant: “The Fool not belonging to this era…”
“The Yellow-Black King who controls luck…”
“The mysterious sovereign above the gray fog…”
