She stared at the hand in a daze, the hand she had raised frozen in mid-air for a long time without moving.

“Ms. Gu?” Shen An shook the thermometer. Gu Jin finally came back to her senses. Her face flushed, and she seemed a little flustered as she took the thermometer and placed it under her armpit, then coughed awkwardly twice. “Sorry.” Shen An didn’t mind, just found her a little strange. Her already slightly red face seemed to have become even redder. “It’s okay, hurry up and take your temperature.”

The next thing was to wait for the time. With nothing else to do, Shen An took out her phone from her pocket and sent a message to Liu Sui, telling her that she was here and that it seemed to be just a fever, asking her not to worry. Then, she checked if there were any other messages to reply to.

Gu Jin obediently took out the thermometer and gave it to her. Shen An glanced at it twice, then turned around and said while taking medicine out of her bag, “37.8°C, the temperature isn’t very high, a low fever. No need to go to the hospital. I’ll get you some medicine. Take it and get a good night’s rest, and you’ll be fine tomorrow.”

Before coming, Liu Sui had briefly told her that it might be a cold, so she had conveniently brought some medicine with her. Taking out a few boxes of medicine from her bag, she said to Yu Zhao on the side, “This one, two pills each time.” She held up one of the boxes. A big star wouldn’t remember this herself, and Shen An didn’t want to repeat herself, so she spoke directly to Yu Zhao.

Yu Zhao cooperated well, listening while taking out a pen and scribbling on the medicine box, noting down which ones to take and how many. Both of them were quite focused, and no one noticed Gu Jin’s gaze fixed intently on Shen An’s hand holding the medicine box, even unconsciously licking her lips.

After they finished speaking and writing, Shen An felt that there was nothing else for her to do. It was also very late, and there was no need to stay. She slung her bag over her shoulder and prepared to leave. Just as she put on her bag, Gu Jin spoke up, “Um… Doctor, can I add your WeChat?”

Shen An was a little surprised.

After all, it was the first time a celebrity had asked for her WeChat, but she didn’t really want to add her. “No need, right? I came over because I live nearby, it’s more convenient. We won’t meet again later.”

Shen An didn’t say anything.

Shen An looked down at her own clothes.

Did she look like she was short of money?

She wasn’t short of money, but clearly the big star was persistent. Shen An could only take out her phone, bring up her WeChat QR code, and hand it to Gu Jin while saying, “No need to pay. Liu Sui is my friend. Just look for me if you feel unwell. Consider it helping her out.”

Gu Jin had already prepared to scan the QR code. She quickly scanned Shen An’s WeChat and tapped “Add.” Shen An’s WeChat nickname was simple, just her name: Shen An.

Just as straightforward and simple as she was.

Actually, she was just too lazy to put her mind to such things. She only smiled with narrowed eyes after seeing Shen An accept her friend request, putting away her phone and tentatively asking, “Dr. Shen?”

Shen An nodded.

There was really nothing to keep Shen An there. Gu Jin was a little reluctant but had no choice but to let her go. “Thank you, Dr. Shen. Take care.”

Shen An nodded again. “You’re welcome.”

Yu Zhao came forward at the right time to see Shen An out, leaving Gu Jin alone in the room to savor the memory.
