Love in the Depths of Time (GL) - Chapter 28
In Lin Xi’s life, Jia Le had always been an important presence, and Jia Le’s family also meant a lot to her. One day, Lin Xi received a call from Jia Le, her voice carrying a hint of urgency.
“Lin Xi, my dad’s internet café is in trouble. Things are not looking good right now. I really don’t know what to do…”
Lin Xi’s heart sank. She immediately realized the seriousness of the situation. Jia Le’s father’s internet café was their family’s main source of income and a place Jia Le had known since childhood. Without hesitation, Lin Xi said, “Jia Le, don’t worry. We’ll go there right away.”
Lin Xi frowned slightly, a thoughtful look flashing in her eyes. She gently held Jia Le’s hand, her tone firm yet gentle. “Jia Le, I know how important Uncle Wen’s internet café is to you. I’ll do my best to help.”
Gratitude flickered in Jia Le’s eyes as she nodded softly, feeling reassured by Lin Xi’s presence.
When they arrived at the internet café, they found the situation worse than expected. Business was struggling, cash flow had dried up, and debts had piled up so high that the café was at risk of being shut down. Uncle Wen stood at the entrance, his eyes filled with helplessness and anxiety. When he saw Jia Le and Lin Xi, a trace of relief appeared in his eyes.
“My girl, Lin Xi, you’re here…”
Jia Le quickly stepped forward and held her father’s hand. “Dad, don’t worry. We’ll figure something out together.”
They walked into the internet café. Lin Xi sat at the desk, surrounded by financial reports and market analysis documents. Her eyes were focused and calm, as if she were analyzing a complex financial strategy. She carefully examined the business status and financial reports. With years of experience in the financial field and keen insight, she quickly identified the key problems.
Night fell, and the soft glow of the streetlights cast a gentle light on her focused expression.
Finally, Lin Xi looked up, determination flashing in her eyes. “Uncle Wen, Jia Le, I have a plan.”
“Uncle Wen, the main issue is cash flow, combined with fierce market competition. Running the café is indeed very difficult,” Lin Xi said seriously. “But there’s always a way. We can start by addressing the financial issue. I’ll contact some financial institutions to see if we can secure a loan to ease the immediate crisis.”
Hearing this, Uncle Wen’s eyes filled with hope. “Lin Xi, do you think that’s possible?”
Lin Xi nodded firmly. “Trust me, I’ll do my best. Also, we should consider upgrading the café to improve its competitiveness. We could bring in new equipment, optimize the internet setup, and even introduce new business strategies, like hosting esports tournaments and live streaming events to attract more young customers.”
Jia Le’s eyes lit up with excitement. “Lin Xi, you’re right! I can’t believe I didn’t think of that…”
Lin Xi smiled. “Jia Le, you’ve been too focused on your work at the hospital. Leave the business side to me. We’ll work together and get through this.”
“First, we need to cut costs,” Lin Xi said in a calm yet firm voice. “The equipment in the café is outdated, and electricity and maintenance costs are high. We can negotiate with suppliers to buy new equipment in bulk. This will not only improve customer experience but also lower long-term expenses.”
Jia Le nodded, anticipation flashing in her eyes. “That sounds like a good plan.”
“Second, we should enhance the customer experience. Young people today prefer a comfortable and stylish environment. We can renovate the café, add cozy seating, and even set up a small relaxation area with coffee and snacks.”
“The most important thing is securing patient investment,” Lin Xi added with determination. “I can reach out to my contacts to see if anyone is willing to invest. Patient investors won’t just solve the short-term financial issues but also support the café’s long-term development.”
Jia Le was momentarily stunned, then her eyes filled with gratitude. “Lin Xi, you’re willing to do so much for me?”
Lin Xi gently held Jia Le’s hand, her gaze soft. “Jia Le, you’re the most important person in my life. Your problems are my problems.”
Over the next few days, Lin Xi worked tirelessly. She contacted multiple financial institutions, leveraged her connections, and eventually found an investment partner willing to support the business. With the infusion of patient capital, Uncle Wen’s internet café received the necessary funds to improve operations and expand its services.
She also secured a low-interest loan for Jia Le’s father’s business. At the same time, she personally oversaw the café’s renovation, from equipment purchases to interior design, ensuring every detail was handled properly.
Thanks to Lin Xi’s efforts, the café’s situation gradually improved. The new equipment attracted more customers, the optimized internet service enhanced user experience, and the esports tournaments and live streaming events made the café well-known in the community. Seeing all this, Jia Le’s heart was filled with gratitude. “Lin Xi, I don’t even know how to thank you…”
After all their hard work, Uncle Wen’s café finally reopened. The new interior was modern and inviting, drawing in many young customers. Jia Le personally designed a menu offering coffee and snacks and even hosted small-scale esports competitions to make the café more interactive and fun.
On the grand reopening day, Jia Le and Lin Xi stood at the entrance, watching the steady stream of customers. Their eyes shone with satisfaction. Uncle Wen stood beside them, a long-lost smile appearing on his face. “Thanks to both of you, the café is alive again.”
Jia Le smiled and looked at Lin Xi with deep gratitude. “Lin Xi, thank you.”
Lin Xi gently held Jia Le’s hand, warmth in her eyes. “Jia Le, as long as you’re happy, I’m happy.”
As time passed, Uncle Wen’s internet café grew more successful. Through Jia Le and Lin Xi’s joint efforts, they not only resolved the crisis but also built a solid foundation for the café’s future.
One evening, Jia Le and Lin Xi sat in the café’s lounge, sipping coffee as they watched the sunset outside the window. Jia Le gently held Lin Xi’s hand, her gaze full of affection. “Lin Xi, thank you. Without you, I wouldn’t have known what to do.”
Lin Xi smiled slightly, her eyes firm. “Jia Le, we’re in this together. No matter what difficulties come our way, we’ll face them together.”
They looked at each other and smiled, their hearts filled with hope for the future. They knew that as long as they had each other, there was no challenge they couldn’t overcome.
