Making Three Heartless Woman Go Crazy for Me - Chapter 10
The moonlight was brilliant tonight, illuminating the empty and chilly rooftop. Luan Hua gazed at Qi Lanshi standing a short distance away, for the first time clearly distinguishing between her and the White Moonlight in her heart.
Apart from their faces, there was virtually no resemblance between them. Qi Lanshi was like a blazing fire, refusing to yield or bow her head.
Luan Hua blinked slowly, striving to keep her tone gentle. “I mean it. I’ve taken care of everything. No one can hurt you.”
Qi Lanshi found it utterly shameless that Luan Hua could even utter such words.
A freeloading CEO who uses substitutes, rich yet so stingy—she’s the one who has hurt me the most.
But Qi Lanshi couldn’t say that.
Standing on the rooftop, she calmly countered, “Why haven’t you called the police to arrest me? You should have. I injured someone, and everyone saw it.”
Luan Hua tried to keep her voice steady. “He deserved it. I’ll handle it.”
Qi Lanshi sighed inwardly.
At this moment, Luan Hua seemed almost human, even a little naive and foolish—it was almost comical.
“Whether you call the police or not, it makes no difference to me,” Qi Lanshi said with a smile, slowly loosening her grip. “After all, you’ve already ruined my life.”
Seeing Luan Hua’s face instantly change, Qi Lanshi knew she had gone far enough.
The tactics of crying, making a scene, and threatening suicide required careful timing and restraint. This was her first time using them, and she knew it was best to stop while she was ahead.
As she prepared to climb down, a group of people suddenly rushed forward. Their speed and numbers left her no time to react; they dragged her straight off the rooftop.
Qi Lanshi was yanked violently toward the ground. She instinctively reached out to brace herself, but before she could land, someone caught her arm and pulled her into their arms.
Luan Hua still carried the faint scent of alcohol from the banquet. Qi Lanshi looked up at her and couldn’t help but sigh inwardly: She’s truly beautiful.
Despite Luan Hua’s wealth and stinginess, her refusal to listen to reason, and her unconventional way of thinking, her beauty was undeniable.
Especially in bed.
Every time Qi Lanshi saw her face, her tolerance for Luan Hua grew a little stronger.
Take now, for example.
Luan Hua held her close, her face flushed with relief, as if she’d narrowly escaped death. Qi Lanshi tried to explain, “I really just came to get some fresh air. I wasn’t thinking of doing anything rash. Do you believe me?”
Luan Hua scoffed, “Really? I don’t.”
Qi Lanshi: “……”
Wow, this woman really hasn’t learned a thing.
“I’m serious,” Qi Lanshi insisted. “I’ve been working so hard to live my life. I’ve never once considered ending it. Never.” She added, “In this world, there’s no one worth dying for.”
She loved herself most of all.
“You’d better be,” Luan Hua said coldly. “Come with me.”
Qi Lanshi had no choice but to follow Luan Hua into the car. Today, Luan Hua was driving herself; her secretary was nowhere to be seen.
“What, you’re worried about her?” Luan Hua asked abruptly.
Qi Lanshi replied casually, “Even if we’re not friends, she’s still an acquaintance. Isn’t it normal to ask about her when she’s missing?”
Luan Hua had a question on the tip of her tongue, but she forced herself to swallow it back down.
She had already lost her composure enough today, making mistakes that were absurdly out of character. She couldn’t possibly say anything that sounded like jealous rivalry—it would be too embarrassing.
Qi Lanshi stared at Luan Hua’s profile for a moment, realizing she was actually holding back. She found it… rather fascinating.
Her phone buzzed with notifications—messages from Gu Jingshu. The content was the same: Where are you? Are you okay? Did Luan Hua catch you?
At first, Gu Jingshu had been somewhat restrained, but as time passed and she received no reply, her gossip-hungry heart couldn’t be contained. She started sending red envelopes, a whole string of them—over a dozen.
Qi Lanshi found this woman rather amusing—a pure-hearted troublemaker in a dating game, generous enough to send red envelopes just to get the scoop.
Just as she was about to reply and claim the red envelopes, Luan Hua’s voice cut through the air: “Gu Jingshu? When did you get her WeChat?”
“Just now,” Qi Lanshi replied casually, holding up her phone and shaking it slightly. Her tone was natural, showing no hesitation. “She sent a bunch of red envelopes. Can I accept the money?”
“Why not?” Luan Hua retorted, her voice ringing with conviction. “Why would we turn down free money?”
Qi Lanshi couldn’t help but laugh, silently claiming all the red envelopes. She snapped a photo of Luan Hua driving and sent it to Gu Jingshu.
Gu Jingshu replied almost immediately, first with a string of ellipses, then a thumbs-up, and finally, “Goodbye, have fun!”
Qi Lanshi quietly turned off her phone, leaned back in her seat, and closed her eyes to rest.
Once Qi Lanshi had settled into silence, Luan Hua dared to steal glances at her.
“Why did I ever think of her as a substitute?” Luan Hua wondered aloud. “She’s clearly nothing like anyone else.”
She was simply Qi Lanshi.
By the time Luan Hua drove back, Qi Lanshi was nearly asleep.
As she pushed open the car door and stepped out, she yawned and spotted a familiar figure—the secretary.
Qi Lanshi exclaimed in mock surprise, “I thought you’d already gone home! Turns out you’re just working overtime in a different location.”
The secretary merely smiled, saying it was all part of her job. Then, while Luan Hua wasn’t looking, she discreetly intercepted Qi Lanshi.
“I know Miss Qi has been wronged, but since you’ve chosen to return with the Boss, I hope you can put aside your previous grievances for now and focus on being with him,” the secretary said delicately. “The Boss has been under immense work pressure and hasn’t slept well in ages.”
Qi Lanshi blinked slowly, understanding dawning.
The CEO’s condition had flared up again.
This time, it wasn’t about yelling at people, but a genuine physical illness. After all, what kind of CEO would he be without at least one of the following: insomnia, anxiety, bipolar disorder, or a stomach ailment? Being perfectly healthy just wouldn’t suit the image.
Luan Hua truly lived up to her status as a classic character archetype, meticulously crafted with every essential trait.
Qi Lanshi nodded with a faint smile. “I understand.”
Inside the room, Luan Hua had already taken a quick shower and was leaning against the headboard, her hair still damp and her skin flushed with a rosy glow, making her look remarkably endearing.
Having prepared herself for what was to come, Qi Lanshi naturally wouldn’t keep her waiting.
After closing the door, Qi Lanshi turned her back to Luan Hua and slowly began to undress, taking her time with the elaborate gown. The dress had been difficult to put on, and removing it proved equally challenging.
Before long, Qi Lanshi twisted her head around, panting slightly. “Could you help me with this?”
Luan Hua, of course, couldn’t refuse.
Truthfully, she hadn’t intended for things to go this far. After the incident at the banquet, she had wanted to explain herself to Qi Lanshi—but she hadn’t found the right words during the car ride.
But Qi Lanshi… that was all that seemed to occupy her mind.
Luan Hua had initially only helped Qi Lanshi with her zipper, but then she followed her into the bathroom, then helped her apply body lotion, and then… things spiraled out of control.
Luan Hua, who had already showered, was forced to wash again. Still flushed from the heat and enveloped in Qi Lanshi’s lingering scent, she found herself slightly dazed.
Qi Lanshi pulled her close, patting her back gently. “Sleep now,” she murmured. “Just sleep.”
As if on cue, drowsiness washed over Luan Hua, her eyelids growing heavier by the second.
“Qi Lanshi,” she mumbled, her voice fading. “I’m sorry.”
With that, she drifted into a hazy sleep, oblivious to whether Qi Lanshi had even heard her.
In the darkness, Qi Lanshi opened her eyes, chuckled softly, and gently pinched the tip of Luan Hua’s nose.
How could this be?
Amidst the chaos, the System was forced to endure a barrage of frantic thoughts:
How long has Qi Lanshi’s mission even been underway? How did she already distinguish between Qi Lanshi and the White Moonlight?
How did she start liking Qi Lanshi so quickly?
And she’s even apologizing? Is this how a CEO should act?!
The System finally snapped. Â What’s the point of dwelling on this now? How do we fix it?
A moment of silence followed. Â Reinforce her character traits again. She can’t get lost in Qi Lanshi’s tender embrace.
We’re… doing this for her own good.
