Making Three Heartless Woman Go Crazy for Me - Chapter 14
On this day, Qi Lanshi demonstrated to her viewers what it meant for black words to appear increasingly crimson the more they were read.
When it came to self-awareness, Qi Lanshi was serious.
After a two-day hiatus, Qi Lanshi finally resumed her livestream. She found that the videos had been quite effective; viewers were now even more curious about the story’s progression. Many had queued up early, eager to see what would happen next, and even the virtual gifts were more generous than usual.
Qi Lanshi calculated that while she hadn’t earned the extra income from distributing flyers, she hadn’t exactly lost out either.
Before diving into the game, she interacted with her viewers, explaining, “I didn’t log out of my account when I went offline, so the game time continued as normal. It’s been about… three days since I left.”
As she lay down in the game pod, she added, “Now, let’s see how CEO Luan Hua reacts to the Golden Canary’s sudden three-day disappearance.”
When Qi Lanshi re-entered the game, she found herself in the same location where she had logged out: a small grove not far from the Riverside. The secluded spot had several paths leading out, making it easy for her to explain her sudden disappearance later.
Qi Lanshi landed and opened her in-game phone, finding a flood of calls and messages. At first, they were all from her secretary, followed by messages from the police, teachers, and classmates. By the end, they were all from Luan Hua.
Qi Lanshi chuckled, pointing at the call history on her phone. “See? CEOs always put on a tough act. She was playing it cool just two days ago, but when she realized she couldn’t find me, she finally started panicking.”
Her tone and demeanor were nonchalant. “Her White Moonlight also cut off contact unilaterally, vanishing overseas as if she’d disappeared from the face of the earth. Luan Hua couldn’t reach her no matter what. Now, I’m doing the same.”
Back then, Luan Hua couldn’t stop her White Moonlight from leaving.
Now, she’s even more helpless, unable to even find a substitute.
For a CEO, this is an utterly unacceptable humiliation.
Luan Hua had initially sought solace in a substitute, but now she was forced to confront her own powerlessness. Three days had been enough to stir a maelstrom of conflicting emotions within her.
“If I hadn’t already missed a day of streaming yesterday, I wouldn’t even log in today. I’d just cut off contact for a month, and Luan Hua would be on the verge of a complete breakdown.”
Alone, Qi Lanshi instinctively tried to interact with the Bullet Comments, but she couldn’t see them. Feeling a bit lonely, she asked the System, “Can’t you chat with me when no one’s around? It’s so boring otherwise.”
System:Â What would you like to talk about?
Qi Lanshi replied casually, “Anything. Luan Hua will find me in five minutes anyway.”
The System paused noticeably before asking, Â Do you think Luan Hua is that fragile? The game has barely started, and she’s already about to break down?
“It’s not that Luan Hua is fragile. Everyone in the world is vulnerable if you find their weaknesses. Especially since Luan Hua is just a Target character. Once you understand her character logic and behavioral patterns, driving her mad is a simple matter.”
Qi Lanshi chuckled softly. “Characters who appear strong on the surface often have a ‘gap moe’ element for the sake of their charm value. In other words, even the strongest people have their vulnerabilities.”
“The conventional strategy method is to comfort her vulnerabilities, accept her past, understand her soul, and ultimately become her only one.”
“But that’s too easy and boring. I won’t take that path.”
System:Â Then what is your approach, Player?
“Shh.” Qi Lanshi narrowed her eyes and smiled. “How could I reveal that so easily? If I did, there’d be no suspense, would there?”
“Besides, the five minutes are up.”
Sure enough, the moment she finished speaking, the secretary appeared before her with precise timing, politely but firmly escorting her away.
“During Miss Qi’s disappearance, the Boss was deeply concerned about you. Please come with me to see her and put her mind at ease.”
Qi Lanshi tilted her head, her expression filled with curiosity. “I just went for a walk and didn’t want to see anyone. It’s not like I was trying to kill myself. Why is there any need to worry?”
“Of course there is, Miss Qi. Please don’t underestimate yourself. You are very important.”
“Really? I don’t believe it.”
The secretary fell silent, clearly tired of this pointless conversation.
“Miss Qi, please don’t make this difficult for me.”
Qi Lanshi stalled for a bit longer before finally getting into the car with a reluctant expression.
Luan Hua wasn’t in the car.
Qi Lanshi couldn’t help but smile inwardly. She had indeed returned too early. Luan Hua was still trying to put on airs with her.
But when she finally saw Luan Hua, she realized: Luan Hua wasn’t putting on airs. She genuinely wasn’t fit to go out.
The CEO was clearly suffering from insomnia, likely having gone without sleep for three days. She looked utterly exhausted, with dark circles under her eyes and a gloomy aura that made her even more unapproachable than before. The domineering CEO’s signature low-pressure field surrounded her.
The moment Qi Lanshi met Luan Hua’s gaze, she realized she still preferred Luan Hua’s lewdness in certain moments.
Her face remained expressionless, but her voice was soft as she asked, “I’ve looked it over. I’m fine. Can I go now?”
Of course, Qi Lanshi knew she wasn’t going anywhere. The secretary had already discreetly closed the door, leaving only the two of them in the room.
This atmosphere, combined with Luan Hua’s inherent style, was perfect for a little lewdness.
“Where have you been?” Luan Hua asked.
During the sleepless nights of the past few days, she had repeatedly replayed the scene from three days ago in her mind. She had finally concluded that Qi Lanshi had simply vanished.
Luan Hua found this strange. She had reviewed the surveillance footage, which showed Qi Lanshi leaving on her own while Luan Hua inexplicably stood frozen in place, making no attempt to stop her.
Yet, after watching the footage countless times, Luan Hua remained convinced: Qi Lanshi had left suddenly.
Or rather, she had vanished into thin air.
Qi Lanshi’s current appearance only reinforced Luan Hua’s suspicion that her hunch was correct. Qi Lanshi looked exactly the same as she had three days ago—no trace of her whereabouts, no spending records, and no change of clothes.
She seemed to vanish suddenly, only to reappear just as abruptly.
“Just taking a walk,” Qi Lanshi said vaguely. “As I’ve said before, the lives of the poor are cheap. Why does CEO Luan always… worry I’ll try to kill myself?”
Qi Lanshi genuinely couldn’t understand.
Wasn’t her character supposed to be stubborn, resilient, kind, and unyielding? Why did everyone always assume she’d be half-dead?
Luan Hua gazed at Qi Lanshi, her eyes narrowing slightly.
Qi Lanshi refused to explain.
And Luan Hua had no proof.
“Come here,” Luan Hua said coldly.
Qi Lanshi frowned, clearly reluctant.
Luan Hua yanked her closer, forcibly wrapping her arms around Qi Lanshi’s waist and resting her chin on her shoulder.
For the past three sleepless days, Luan Hua’s mind had been relentlessly sharp, replaying the events of three days ago and comparing them to the surveillance footage she’d reviewed.
Only now did she finally have a chance to relax her mind. A belated drowsiness washed over her, and the person in her arms gave her an indescribable sense of peace.
Luan Hua sighed silently in her heart, tightening her embrace.
“So, are we going to do it now?”
With just one sentence, Qi Lanshi shattered the tender atmosphere.
Luan Hua felt Luan Hua’s body stiffen slightly, even her breathing becoming a little heavier.
“I don’t mind, but I haven’t showered in three days. I suggest we clean up first,” Qi Lanshi said slowly. “Of course, if you’re into that sort of thing, I don’t mind either.”
“Enough. Shut up,” Luan Hua practically snarled through gritted teeth. “Now, immediately, go take a shower.”
The next moment, she heard Qi Lanshi let out a soft laugh, a cold and mocking sound.
As if Luan Hua’s mind is filled with nothing but that, yet she pretends to be so proper.
Luan Hua felt a sudden urge to explain herself, but… no matter what she said, it would sound wrong. In the end, she could only watch in silence as Qi Lanshi entered the bathroom.
The bathroom light soon flickered on, followed by the sound of rushing water. Through the frosted glass, she could vaguely make out a human silhouette bathed in the dim yellow light. Luan Hua watched from afar, slowly blinking.
Qi Lanshi showered quickly, knowing she was live-streaming. Even though the viewers couldn’t see anything, she still needed to wrap things up as soon as possible.
But when she emerged from the bathroom in her bathrobe, she found Luan Hua already asleep.
Luan Hua had only just fallen asleep, her rest still uneasy. Her brows were furrowed, and her long lashes drooped, making her look much more docile than when she was awake.
Qi Lanshi stared at her for a moment before addressing the livestream: “I prefer her like this. The moment she wakes up, she’ll revert to the typical CEO’s arrogance, making her perfectly lovely face inexplicably ugly.”
In a typical romance narrative, Qi Lanshi would now scoop Luan Hua into her arms, carry her back to the bedroom, and the two would share a bed, cuddling as they slept. Their relationship would naturally progress to a new stage.
This was the perfect moment for them to embrace and sleep together, with Qi Lanshi taking the initiative to comfort Luan Hua’s vulnerability, rather than following the System’s script of offering herself up for humiliation when she was in a position of weakness.
But Qi Lanshi couldn’t follow that path. She was too scrawny to carry Luan Hua.
Qi Lanshi poked Luan Hua’s cheek and said, “Have you washed up? If not, wash up before going back to sleep.”
This utterly unromantic remark made Luan Hua’s brow furrow even deeper, but she didn’t wake up. Instead, she burrowed closer to Qi Lanshi, nuzzling her face against her neck.
Qi Lanshi was still damp, but this actually made Luan Hua feel strangely comforted. She mumbled, “Don’t make a fuss. Carry me back.”
Qi Lanshi: “……” Truly, she was a CEO through and through, always demanding the impossible.
She desperately wanted to maintain her dignity, but…
“I’m sorry, I can’t carry you,” Qi Lanshi admitted truthfully. “I’m just an ordinary college student. Please don’t make things difficult for me.”
At this point, Luan Hua finally woke up completely.
Her bloodshot eyes fixed on Qi Lanshi as she retorted, “Then what good are you, anyway?”
“Since I’m so useless, I won’t bother CEO Luan any further,” Qi Lanshi said, standing up to leave.
“Do you think you can just walk out of here?” Luan Hua’s tone darkened. “Try taking a single step without my permission. See if you can.”
Qi Lanshi’s eyes widened slowly.
Oh my god! After all this build-up, the scene I’ve been waiting for is finally here!
