Making Three Heartless Woman Go Crazy for Me - Chapter 23
Bai Jiao had suspected that a woman who would become someone’s mistress for money wouldn’t have particularly high morals, but she hadn’t anticipated Qi Lanshi’s sheer audacity. For a moment, she was at a loss for words.
Yet Qi Lanshi’s demeanor remained impeccable. Bai Jiao, who always maintained a gentle and understanding facade in public, couldn’t easily lose her composure, even when Qi Lanshi was being deliberately provocative. Especially not now.
Tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear, Bai Jiao asked, “I’m new here and still getting acquainted. I don’t think I saw you yesterday. May I ask who you are?”
“I’m an employee here,” Qi Lanshi replied with mock seriousness. “But I’m one of the higher-level ones, providing one-on-one service to CEO Qi. So it’s perfectly normal you wouldn’t have seen me.”
The System, witnessing everything, could only think: ……
Qi Lanshi is still the queen of sass.
Bai Jiao’s expression stiffened again.
She finally realized, belatedly, that her confrontation with Qi Lanshi was a contest of who had the thicker skin.
And right now, it seemed she was losing.
“If there’s nothing else, I’ll be going now,” Qi Lanshi said with a smile. “Of course, even if there were, it wouldn’t concern me. I only serve CEO Luan.”
Her smile made the wound on her lip even more prominent, the mottled mark a stark reminder of what she had endured the previous day.
Bai Jiao watched her, the carefully prepared words she had rehearsed earlier completely useless. She could only watch as Qi Lanshi turned and walked into the house with the confidence of its true owner.
As a substitute, Qi Lanshi was remarkably self-aware. Without needing further instructions from Luan Hua, she headed straight for the attic.
It was clear that this mansion was different. The attic was spacious and well-furnished, creating a surprisingly pleasant environment. As Qi Lanshi pushed open the door, a faint fragrance wafted toward her—a clear sign that the room had been specially prepared.
This could mean either Luan Hua had ordered it, or the mansion staff had recognized Qi Lanshi’s true status and taken the initiative to make her comfortable.
The former would be good enough, but the latter would be even more remarkable.
It would mean that the NPCs who were originally programmed to favor the White Moonlight, serve her, and constantly hinder the player’s progress, had now become loyal to Qi Lanshi.
These NPCs wouldn’t assist her in the same way they had helped the White Moonlight—at most, they would simply enhance the minor details of her gaming experience, as they were doing now. But that was already enough.
Knowing that the game’s settings weren’t irreversible was enough for Qi Lanshi.
In high spirits, she locked her bedroom door, took a shower, and waited for Luan Hua to return home. The White Moonlight had suddenly reappeared, and Luan Hua would rush back as soon as she heard the news.
“Oh right, what was the White Moonlight’s name again?” Qi Lanshi asked the System, but it remained silent. She opened the character page and finally saw the White Moonlight’s full name.
“Bai Jiao,” Qi Lanshi murmured, her expression and thoughts complex. “You guys really phoned it in with the names.”
Wrapped in a bath towel, she pushed open the door and was startled by Luan Hua’s efficiency. The woman was already in her room, sitting on the sofa with a hostile expression, as if Qi Lanshi owed her eight million yuan.
Qi Lanshi immediately went on the offensive. “Why are you glaring at me? Why did you barge into my room without a word? Do you even respect my privacy?”
Luan Hua: “…This is my house. I can enter any room I please. You’re on my territory, talking to me about privacy?”
“Yes, after all, even I belong to you, CEO Luan. What right do I have to talk about privacy?” Qi Lanshi said, drying her hair as she spoke. “Is there something you need?”
She had just emerged from the bathroom, her entire body still damp, water droplets dripping from the ends of her hair. Steamed by the heat, her skin appeared even more porcelain-white, and her eyes had become watery, drawing one’s gaze involuntarily to their depths.
Casually drying her hair with her head tilted slightly, she exposed the slender, fair nape of her neck. With each movement, her bathrobe loosened, revealing her shoulders, collarbones, and the delicate curve of her neck.
Luan Hua suddenly recalled how, the previous night, she had wanted to bite Qi Lanshi’s neck—to leave a vivid red mark on that vulnerable, pristine spot, preferably tasting bl00d to teach the woman a lesson.
But in the end, her teeth had only grazed Qi Lanshi’s lips.
“Why aren’t you answering?” Qi Lanshi asked.
Luan Hua snapped out of her reverie, frowning. The question she had intended to ask morphed into: “Why did you take a shower as soon as you got back?”
This woman’s mind is definitely filled with dirty thoughts.
“Because it’s hot,” Qi Lanshi said, once again questioning the CEO’s logic. “You don’t think I was showering to seduce you, do you?”
Laughable. Does Luan Hua even need to seduce anyone? Yesterday in the hospital room, she asked, “Do you want to do it?” and they immediately found a new place to explore. This woman clearly enjoyed it.
A faint blush crept behind Luan Hua’s ears, confirming her impure thoughts.
Qi Lanshi dried her hair until it stopped dripping, then sat beside Luan Hua, staring at her face for a long moment before asking, “On the contrary, I should be asking you: Why aren’t you with your White Moonlight? What are you doing here?”
Hearing this, Luan Hua finally remembered her original purpose for coming to see Qi Lanshi: This woman was disobedient, had met Bai Jiao, treated her poorly, and said some inexplicable things.
Originally, Luan Hua felt only a mild annoyance, but after hearing Qi Lanshi’s words and sensing her attitude, her anger surged to a boiling point. Her face turned cold as she retorted, “You know who she is, yet you still spoke to her like that?”
“I’m just sugarcoating the truth a little. It’s for your own good,” Qi Lanshi said, her face sincere. “Do you really want me to tell your White Moonlight that I’m just a substitute lover, a cheap imitation meant to replace her? Have you considered what would happen if the real deal found out?”
Qi Lanshi didn’t know what kind of character Bai Jiao was supposed to be, but since she was the White Moonlight, she must have a certain pride. After all, it’s the aloof and untouchable ones who become legends.
Hearing this, Luan Hua grew even more confused. “What does it matter if she knows?”
Qi Lanshi blinked, her eyes widening in disbelief. “She’s the one you truly love, not me! Now that Bai Jiao is back, shouldn’t you be with her, the real person?”
“Don’t waste your time on a substitute like me. There’s no future in this.”
“You…” Luan Hua frowned, clearly genuinely puzzled. “Why would I want to be with her? If I did, I would have pursued her back then.”
“Some feelings are pure and sacred, beyond the constraints of worldly expectations.”
Qi Lanshi stared in silence.
This woman is truly something else. After all this talk, not a single word made sense.
“You…” Qi Lanshi marveled at her. “You’re a true warrior of pure love.”
Tomorrow, she’ll be taking a flight home, resuming the countdown to her daily six-hour work schedule.
