Mark Me, Okay? - Chapter 24
Zeng Yu spent two seconds trying to figure out who that little vixen standing next to the Student Council President was,
then spent five seconds laughing at his own wild imagination—who else could President Luan Li be with besides Qi Xiangxing, that top Alpha from Class 4?
Zeng Yu took two steps toward Luan Li before suddenly freezing—
Holy sh1t! Wait a minute! Didn’t Qi Xiangxing present as an Omega? She—she—!
He turned his head in stunned silence.
A classmate from Class 3 raised an eyebrow at him: “Dude, do you feel like a third wheel?”
Zeng Yu gaped, glancing at Luan Li’s retreating figure,
then at the Class 3 student, the folder in his hand suddenly feeling scalding. He shut his mouth,
shoved the folder into the other student’s hands, and stammered:
“Uh—I’ve got stuff to do! Gotta go! Please hand this to our President for me!”
The Class 3 student took the folder,
turning to his deskmate with a smug grin: “See? Our ship is just that powerful.”
Deskmate: Sigh, another one’s gone mad.
At the end of the hallway, Qi Xiangxing turned her head, glancing left and right. Seeing no one around, she sneakily reached for Luan Li’s hand.
Luan Li found her nervousness amusing. “Why are you being so sneaky about holding hands now?” Weren’t you bold before? Didn’t you even try to steal a kiss? Why so timid now?
Qi Xiangxing’s ears flushed red as she averted her gaze, her eyes darting everywhere but at Luan Li. Though she usually acted fearless, she turned into a coward around Luan Li. Forget kissing—even holding hands now had to be done on the sly.
Luan Li lowered her head, her thumb pausing near the callus on Qi Xiangxing’s right middle finger. She rubbed it gently, her voice soft with concern. “Does it hurt?”
Qi Xiangxing had never studied this hard before. These days, she went through a pen refill almost daily, exhausting both her brain and her hand. But the satisfaction from her efforts was undeniable.
Where Luan Li’s fingers touched sent strange tingles through her, each stroke making Qi Xiangxing’s spine tingle and her legs weaken.
“What are you doing?” The little tyrant grabbed Luan Li’s hand, whispering, “This feels… weird…” She bit her lip, her voice dropping even lower, half-complaint, half-whine: “Don’t tease me into heat.”
Luan Li’s throat tightened, her fair cheeks suddenly flushing crimson, her eyes glistening. She stared straight at Qi Xiangxing, who accidentally looked up and met her gaze.
I really want to devour her.
Luan Li’s gaze turned predatory. Strangely, she had never been one for strong desires—for over a decade, she’d lived with monk-like restraint. But ever since getting close to Qi Xiangxing, she found herself losing control.
This manifested in unspeakably vivid dreams at night, and…
Luan Li’s beautiful face burned even redder. Such thoughts shouldn’t surface now, yet she couldn’t help it.
And the worst part? Qi Xiangxing remained blissfully unaware, even reaching out to touch her.
“What’s wrong with you?” Qi Xiangxing reached out to touch Luan Li’s flushed face, but instead of withdrawing her hand immediately, she boldly let her fingers roam across Luan Li’s cheeks while marveling, “Your skin is so smooth! What’s your skincare routine?”
Just as Luan Li was nearly unable to control her pheromones, the warning bell rang. Her eyes widened, and she instinctively prepared to dash back to class.
But troublemaker Qi Xiangxing stopped her. Under the shocked gaze of the model student Luan Li, Qi Xiangxing blushed, stood on her tiptoes, and planted a gentle kiss on her forehead.
The bell grew increasingly urgent.
Panic flashed through Luan Li’s eyes—she could already see their teacher’s shadow at the stairwell.
Yet Qi Xiangxing was even more embarrassed. After the kiss, she fled faster than when she’d run the 400-meter race at the sports meet, charging straight into the classroom.
Luan Li nearly skidded to a halt on the spot.
“Luan Li?” The arriving teacher greeted her with a smile when he saw her still outside.
Suddenly, Luan Li felt… an inexplicable sense of sneaking around.
Regaining her composure, she calmly returned the greeting: “Good morning, Mr. Zhou.”
Mr. Zhou patted her shoulder. “Class starts in two minutes. Hurry back.”
As Luan Li passed Class Four’s window, she saw Qi Xiangxing grinning brightly and winking at her. Immediately after, she heard Mr. Zhou’s voice entering Class Four: “Qi Xiangxing, what are you doing?”
Luan Li’s face burned even redder.
That little troublemaker!
When Qi Xiangxing burst into laughter for the twelfth time during class, Du Ziheng couldn’t take it anymore. Glancing at Mr. Zhou’s back as he wrote on the blackboard, he whispered, “Class monitor… what’s going on with you?”
Has she been possessed???
Qi Xiangxing rested her chin on her left hand while her right hand diligently took notes. She spared Du Ziheng a glance. “I was thinking about why ‘not anymore’ is used this way.”
Du Ziheng: ???
This was it. She was done for. Normally during this pre-lunch class, the monitor would be contemplating what to eat, but now she was this engrossed in studying!
“Monitor, what are you having for lunch?” Du Ziheng cautiously asked.
Qi Xiangxing shot him a look. “I’m eating with my girlfriend.”
Du Ziheng: !!!
“Du Ziheng! What are you doing?” Mr. Zhou turned around, narrowing his eyes at Du Ziheng before accurately pelting him with a piece of chalk.
Mr. Zhou nodded in satisfaction. “Alright, if you’re not going to study, don’t distract Qi Xiangxing. She’s been very diligent lately! Keep it up!”
Qi Xiangxing nodded solemnly—yes, she wouldn’t stoop to Du Ziheng’s level of slacking. But… what should her girlfriend eat for lunch? This was troubling.
She missed her girlfriend so much.
She missed Lili.
Wanted to kiss Lili.
Ugh, why wasn’t class over yet?
Propping her head up, Qi Xiangxing finished the assigned problems the moment Mr. Zhou announced them, then stared at the clock.
Ten minutes until dismissal…
Wasn’t Lili wearing white underwear today?
Five minutes left…
Hadn’t Lili washed her underwear this morning?
Two minutes to go…
What should they have for lunch? Maybe just… have Lili instead?
The bell rang, signaling the end of class. Teacher Zhou on the podium closed her book and said, “Class dismissed.”
Qi Xiangxing abruptly stood up and dashed out through the back door.
Luan Li’s class was taught by Yue Qiu. For some reason, Yue Qiu kept stumbling over her words today, slowing down her speech, which delayed Class Three’s dismissal. Finally, under the resentful gazes of the students, Yue Qiu ended her lengthy lecture and announced the end of class.
“Luan Li!” Qi Xiangxing peeked her head around the door of Class Three.
The students of Class Three prided themselves on being more rational than the rabid shippers in Class Four. But seeing their favorite couple openly together still stirred excitement in their hearts.
Yue Qiu cast a suspicious glance at the students subtly looking toward the door, wondering what was going on with them today. What was so interesting at the door?
She also glanced toward the entrance.
Yue Qiu’s face darkened.
You little brat, flaunting your relationship like this—watch out for the principal catching you!
“Ahem.” Yue Qiu cleared her throat and shot Qi Xiangxing a glare.
Qi Xiangxing obediently withdrew her head and whispered, “Hello, teacher.”
Oops, she forgot—Class Three’s last period was with Old Yue.
“Mind your behavior.” Brat!
Qi Xiangxing put on a righteous expression. “Understood!”
Like hell you do!
Yue Qiu gritted her teeth and strode away in her high heels.
“Lili!” Qi Xiangxing’s eyes sparkled as she looked at Luan Li. “What are we having for lunch?”
Luan Li pulled a lunchbox from her desk, flashing a bright smile. “Something delicious.”
Five minutes later, the two sat in the newly approved rooftop office of the student council, nibbling on sandwiches Luan Li had made herself.
Qi Xiangxing took a bite and moaned in delight. “Mmm! So good!” She took a sip of water and asked, “When is your mom coming back?”
Luan Li, reviewing the test papers Qi Xiangxing had completed that morning, replied, “The day after tomorrow.”
Qi Xiangxing counted on her fingers. “So I can still sleep over for two more nights.”
“Mm.” Luan Li finished her sandwich, leisurely wiped her hands with a wet wipe, then walked to the sink and pulled a small bottle of mouthwash from her pocket.
Qi Xiangxing quickly finished her meal and sidled up to Luan Li. Before she could say anything, Luan Li handed her a small bottle of mouthwash.
“Huh?” Qi Xiangxing blinked in confusion but obediently rinsed her mouth.
Before she could even put the bottle down, Luan Li kissed her.
You little troublemaker—you’ll be the death of me.
Her tongue breached defenses, pressing lightly against the roof of Qi Xiangxing’s mouth, teasing in featherlight strokes. Luan Li’s kiss left Qi Xiangxing utterly defenseless. In her daze, she suddenly remembered how Luan Li had been sneaking around in the bathroom that morning, hiding something from her.
What was she doing? Was it because of me?
No one could resist a wholehearted kiss from the person they loved. Qi Xiangxing’s heart pounded wildly, the little deer in her chest completely out of control under Luan Li’s coaxing.
Qi Xiangxing leaned back against the sink counter, with Luan Li’s hand resting on its edge.
“You… slow down…” Qi Xiangxing’s breath was stolen away by Luan Li’s kiss, her eyes turning red. Before kissing Luan Li, she’d never imagined the gentle honor student could be so domineering when kissing.
“Don’t you like it?” Luan Li’s voice dropped lower when kissing, every breathy sound clearly reaching Qi Xiangxing’s ears.
“I…” The tips of Qi Xiangxing’s ears flushed pink, her cheeks burning under Luan Li’s intense gaze.
How was she supposed to answer that!
She used to think Luan Li was a good girl, but now she realized—this was actually a scheming fox hiding under a gentle facade!
