Master, Please Help Me Break the Love Curse! - Chapter 18
Shang Qianye’s words left Luo Jiu speechless.
Under the moonlight, Luo Jiu’s lips parted slightly, her cheeks flushed crimson as she stared at the person before her in shock. Finally, unable to bear the awkwardness any longer, she grabbed the wine flask, poured herself a cup, and drained it in one gulp.
“What does your life or death have to do with me?” Luo Jiu slammed the cup down, rose, and turned to leave.
Seeing Luo Jiu was angry again, Shang Qianye scrambled to her feet and chased after her. “Master, Master, I was wrong! You can’t just leave me to die, Master!”
Shang Qianye pursued her all the way to the Jade Court Forest, slipping inside just before Luo Jiu could slam the door shut.
Luo Jiu glared at her, raising her hand to slap her away, but Shang Qianye swiftly seized her wrist and leaned in close.
“Master, I was wrong…” Shang Qianye softened her posture, lowering her head slightly and coaxing, “Master, don’t be angry with me. I take back what I said earlier. It wasn’t your face that flushed red—it was mine. Feel for yourself.”
With that, Shang Qianye pressed Luo Jiu’s hand against her own cheek.
The warmth in her palm made Luo Jiu’s heart flutter inexplicably as she watched Shang Qianye nuzzle her hand. She hastily withdrew her hand, adopting a stern expression as she scolded, “What kind of behavior is that?”
Shang Qianye smiled but remained silent.
Luo Jiu wasn’t truly angry; she was simply unsettled by her disciple’s insight into her feelings. Now that she had calmed down, she knew the love gu still needed to be purged, and the Heart Demon couldn’t be allowed to resurface indefinitely.
Tonight, she would have to try again.
Luo Jiu secretly clenched her fist within her sleeve, fixing Shang Qianye with a sharp gaze. “Have you bathed?”
Shang Qianye: “…Huh?”
Luo Jiu snapped, “Go bathe. Don’t come back until you’re properly clean.”
Shang Qianye: “……”
Oh.
Cultivators weren’t particularly prone to dirtiness, and Shang Qianye was thoroughly clean after just fifteen minutes in the bath. She even used the fragrant soap pods left by the pool, which smelled sweet and refreshing.
Standing before the door to Luo Jiu’s bedroom, Shang Qianye couldn’t deny her nervousness.
Memories of past events flooded her mind. Now, with a simple push of the door, she could kiss and embrace the person she had longed for—something she had never dared to dream of before.
The moment was now before her.
Shang Qianye paced back and forth outside the door, hesitating to reach out and push it open. Her heart pounded wildly, and her hands and feet began to burn.
Finally, the person inside couldn’t take it anymore.
“How long are you going to keep pacing outside?” Luo Jiu’s voice drifted from within. Shang Qianye froze, then gritted her teeth and pushed the door open.
The room was dimly lit by candlelight. Behind a screen, a figure sat on the bed, lifting dark eyes as Shang Qianye entered. Luo Jiu had removed her hair ornaments, her long black hair cascading loosely down her back. She wore only an outer robe over her inner garments.
“Master…” Shang Qianye’s eyes widened, transfixed. In the candlelight, Luo Jiu’s usual sharpness softened into a hint of allure, making Shang Qianye’s throat itch and her cheeks flush crimson.
Luo Jiu’s ears reddened at Shang Qianye’s blush, but she maintained a stern gaze. “What are you standing there for? Come here.”
The figure at the door shuffled forward obediently, stopping before Luo Jiu and lowering her head. “Master…”
Luo Jiu felt deeply uncomfortable at being called “Master” twice. As someone who should be a role model for her disciple, the task she was about to undertake… was particularly difficult to broach, leaving her feeling utterly ashamed.
Unable to meet Shang Qianye’s burning gaze, Luo Jiu turned her head and asked, “Do you remember what you’re supposed to do?”
Shang Qianye stared at Luo Jiu’s earlobes, flushed crimson like beans, and murmured a hoarse “Mmm.” She quickly shook her head. “N-not really. I only ever did that with Master when the Heart Demon took over. I’ve never… done it myself.”
Luo Jiu frowned and turned away, thinking, Every time, you’re the one who tears my clothes off in a frenzy! They say the Heart Demon reflects one’s true desires. If Shang Qianye didn’t harbor such thoughts, how could she act so effortlessly?
Luo Jiu glared up at her, annoyed. “Do you want me to teach you?”
Shang Qianye blinked, misunderstanding. “Then… thank you, Master.”
Luo Jiu: “……”
Luo Jiu was furious, once again regretting having cured Shang Qianye of the Gu!
“You!” Luo Jiu’s face flushed crimson with anger. She raised a trembling hand to slap Shang Qianye, but Shang Qianye misinterpreted the gesture again, not only taking Luo Jiu’s hand but also boldly sitting on her bed.
“Master,” Shang Qianye said, her eyes filled with eager anticipation as she looked at Luo Jiu. “Tonight, I’ll trouble you to instruct me.”
Luo Jiu gasped, feeling her liver ache with frustration.
Fine, fine, she thought. Since the Gu needs to be purged anyway, I’ll just treat it like being bitten by my own dog.
After all, once the lights are blown out and my eyes are closed, the outcome will be the same.
Originally, Luo Jiu had planned to lie still like a living corpse, as she had done before. But Shang Qianye, now free of her Heart Demon, was clearly inexperienced. She first kissed Luo Jiu’s lips like a puppy, and even when aroused, she only touched her waist. In the darkness, she repeatedly asked:
“Master, am I kissing you right?”
“Master, your sash is tied so tightly, I can’t untie it…”
“Master, your waist is so slender.”
“Master… you’re biting a little too hard…”
In the darkness, Luo Jiu’s face flushed crimson like a boiled crab. Gripping Shang Qianye’s robes, she snapped, “One more word and you’re out of here.”
Shang Qianye fell silent, daring only to lower her head and kiss Luo Jiu’s lips, her hands working with renewed fervor.
The next morning, Shang Qianye woke up to the warm body nestled in her arms.
Opening her eyes, she saw Luo Jiu sleeping peacefully beside her, eyes still closed. The previous night had been a clumsy affair, mostly because Shang Qianye, lacking any technique, had fumbled around, accidentally hurting Luo Jiu and earning a scolding. Eventually, Luo Jiu had guided her through a smooth, successful encounter.
Exhausted afterward, both women collapsed into bed. Luo Jiu, especially mentally drained, didn’t even have the energy to move, falling asleep the moment her head hit the pillow.
Shang Qianye didn’t dare carry Luo Jiu to the bath, so she could only wipe away the marks on her body in the dark before lying down beside her to sleep.
In her sleep, Luo Jiu’s features softened, her long, thick black eyelashes resembling the delicate blooms of a mimosa tree. Her fair skin still showed faint dark circles beneath her eyes.
Shang Qianye couldn’t help but smile secretly, pressing her lips together. She tightened her embrace around the woman in her arms, closing her eyes contentedly, ready to drift back to sleep.
