Mint Candy Love - Chapter 1.5
Yoon Ye-jun, a 26 years old student, ◇◇ high school graduate, discharged from the army after completing service, 3rd year student of Journalism and Information Studies at Korea University. Good interpersonal relations, 4 relationships, average grade 3.89 out of 4.5. Characteristics: Likes men. Ideal type: A masculine face with a warm personality.
I hate it. This type of guy.
The guy who was in the same group as me in my Sexual Communication class suddenly disappeared after class. He didn’t even say a polite hello.
Yoon Ye-jun, who was looking at that man, giggled and laughed in vain. But as if nothing had happened, he continued to look as indifferent as he’d always looked, and he started to pack. He took the contents of the class portal and a pen and left the classroom. As soon as he stepped out of the classroom, he ran into his usual close friend, Kim Dong-hoon.
“Oh, Yejun.”
My classmate raised his hand and pretended to know the answer. Yoon Ye-jun also said something to the classmate who had come up to him.
“Did you take a class here?”
“Oh, oh, shit. Literary Information and Digital Understanding. I had a hell of a time registering for classes.”
“Why did you do it?”
Yoon Ye-jun looked at his classmate with a playful expression on his face. The corners of his mouth turned up.
“You little jerk. Are you trying to show off because you have a good class schedule?”
Even though Yoon Ye-jun didn’t say anything, Dong-hoon raised his voice all of a sudden. Yoon Ye-jun couldn’t understand why he hadn’t registered for classes. If all he had to do was press the button at the right time, why did he fail? But he didn’t say anything aloud. What was he supposed to do?
Yoon Ye-jun just smiled and said: “Why are you showing off again?” and let it go. In fact, he didn’t even seem to notice that he’d got the winning smile on his face.
“Come on, let’s go smoke.”
“Okay.”
In front of the Kyoyang-dong building, the two of them approached the smoking area. Yoon Ye-jun, who had been alternating between smoking cigarettes and smoking the electronic cigarette, took a bite of the electronic cigarette. While waiting and pressing the button, Yoon Ye-jun noticed a man smoking and talking on the phone.
“Are you crazy? … … Hey, stop whining. This is really… . You said I’d come home every weekend. Didn’t you? Aren’t you talking the right way? … Are you crazy, really? Why do you hit me again? Hey, stop it. Just go and lock the door. Hey, hey!”
and….
Yoon Ye-jun sighed and felt relieved.
He was a man who was in the same group as them. He had a fresh look on his face and was grumpy every time he had a word. I thought he was just upset because he was in the same group as me, a man of the same sex. But he talked like that to everyone. It wouldn’t have been easy for him to have such a bad personality. Yoon Ye-jun wrote down the meeting plan. She shortened what the man had said.
I’m not interested.
No, I don’t want to.
Why me?
I was under the impression that he was of the same sex because he had a pretty face, but it was more like homophobia. I remembered the guy who cursed at the professor’s words that it was okay to be in the same group with a person of the same sex. He said it was dirty. He said that he wanted to be in the same group as a person of the same sex in a fit of rage. Go to hell. The same-sex person you cursed so much will ask to be in the same group as you.
But they really got into one group. This was something that not even Yoon Ye-jun had expected to happen. Who would have had any idea that people would all be in the same group?
That guy would have been more than a 2 out of 10 if I could judge people by their first impressions. If I only looked at his looks, I could have given him a 7. But since his personality wasn’t that great, I only gave him a 2 based on his face.
Starting from 8 points you can get on the dating line. But this guy was a failure no matter how much he got to 8 points.
Even if you were homophobic, you would hide it in college, but Ki-young Han was different. Yoon Ye-jun smiled weakly. How could I grade people?
“Oh, seriously… That kid doesn’t listen to me these days.”
The man who had finished talking turned around, looking annoyed. Yoon Ye-jun, who had been watching the man’s back, looked away, of course. Still holding his cigarette, he approached the ashtray and threw everything into it. Then he walked away. As if nothing had happened.
Yoon Ye-jun let out a snort of laughter without realising it. A friend of his, who was smoking a cigarette a few steps away, looked at him and spoke to him.
“Did you have a feeling of wind in your lungs?”
“What are you talking about, old man?”
“But why are you acting all shaky like that?”
“He’s really funny.”
I said. I pointed my chin at the man’s back. My friend said, “Oh. That guy,” and started to cry.
“What was his name?”
“I don’t know.”
Unfortunately, Yoon Ye-jun didn’t know the man’s name. All he could remember of him was that he was a handsome but shameless idiot. He was the opposite of my taste, although not everyone is on my romantic list. I hate people who stand out. He definitely likes people who are average.
“He’s from the outside world. He’s famous.”
“Why?”
“I have no idea. I’m on leave of absence. The timing must have been a bit of a coincidence.”
Dong-Hoon tickled my nose with the tip of his index finger. He spoke in a light manner as if it was nothing.
“The personality of that man has totally disappeared.”
Everyone must see that clearly. Yoon Ye-jun nodded her head and agreed.
