My Bloody Valentine - 100
“Let go of me….”
Suddenly, the man slapped Han’s cheek. Han’s struggling movement paused for a moment.
“Ah, apologize and beg for your life. Okay?”
There was no doubt that the pervert was enjoying seeing Han in pain. But Han thought it was ridiculous. He had been manhandled by the likes of Jang Taeshin before.
Who is Jang Taeshin? He is a man whose job is to step on and crush people. Han had been beaten by Jang Taeshin, so this gentleman’s hand was nothing.
“This is just a tickle….”
“You fucking lunatic!”
It seemed better to anger the man in front of him and get hit, rather than endure something more terrible.
But the situation did not seem to be resolved as Han wanted. The man flipped Han over and twisted his arms behind his back.
“Ouch!”
Han’s pinned body struggled a few times before going limp and panting. Han’s pants and underwear were pulled down, exposing his buttocks. When a disgusting, hot palm touched his bare skin, Han wished he could bite his tongue.
Just as Han was about to bite his tongue, the door suddenly opened, and a cool breeze touched his bare skin. Rapid footsteps were heard on the carpet.
“What? I told you not to come in, Aack!”
The man who had been pressing on Han’s back did not even finish his sentence. The weight disappeared, and a dull sound echoed in the room.
Han’s alcohol-soaked mind was completely blurred. He had no idea what was happening.
When Han lifted his blurry eyes, he saw Taeshin’s navy blue suit in front of him.
Someone’s head, gripped like a ball in Taeshin’s large hands, was repeatedly smashed into the reinforced glass table. Cracking sounds and glass shards scattered, some sticking to the film and some falling to the floor like sugar pieces.
Exhaling the thick scent of whiskey, Han chuckled weakly.
“See… he came again…”
Han’s eyes blinked slowly. His focus gradually sharpened, and the objects in front of him became visible.
The customer who had given Han alcohol was lying on the floor in a pitiful state, and Taeshin was wiping the bl00d off his hands with a wet wipe.
Han’s consciousness quickly sank. It was due to great relief.
Soon, Han’s body floated up.
Han strained his heavy eyelids and managed to look ahead. Taeshin’s face was distorted with anger.
His gaze was as hot and fierce as if it could burn everything in front of him, but the hands holding Han were as soft as if cradling something precious.
Look, he came to save me again.
While loving me…
“Liar….”
With a heavily twisted tongue, these were Han’s last words. Han smiled faintly with tears in the corners of his eyes, snuggled into Taeshin’s embrace, and lost consciousness.
❖ ❖ ❖
“It’s hypokalemia.”
“What’s that?”
“It’s acute alcohol intoxication.”
Familiar with the situation, Pyo Jin-hee arrived at the 15th-floor suite with his medical bag and inserted an IV into Han’s arm.
Whenever Han met him, he was usually suffering from the aftereffects of violent s3x or habitually fainting. And now, acute alcohol intoxication as well. What kind of life was this person living?
Looking at Han with a pitiful gaze, Jin-hee carefully adjusted the IV drip rate. There was no need to explain further how to handle Jang Taeshin after the IV was completed.
After Jin-hee finished all the treatments and left, only the two of them remained in the room.
When about half of the IV had been administered, Han regained consciousness, but did not open his eyes. He didn’t need to see to know that Taeshin was in the same space, watching him.
Taeshin left the room after watching Han for a long time.
Han immediately opened his eyes and looked at the spot where Taeshin had stood. Something in his chest was tingling.
He saved me again.
Han buried his body in the blanket, like an animal burrowing in a den. The rustling of the blanket and bedsheets faintly carried Taeshin’s scent. Taeshin’s heavy fragrance enveloped Han’s entire body.
Suddenly, Han wished the soft blanket was Taeshin’s firm body embracing him, tightly, fearful of breaking him.
“…Ah.”
Han quickly curled up his body. Without realizing, bl00d had rushed to his groin.
“What the hell…”
In this unwell condition, what an indecent act. Han quickly squeezed his eyes shut, trying to think of something else.
Fortunately, the heat in his body subsided, but his mind was still not calm. He realized that the person he had momentarily wanted to touch was none other than Taeshin.
“I’m crazy….”
When did this start? He, too, had not been viewing Taeshin merely as a childhood figure.
Feeling deeply confused, Han closed his eyes again.
When Han woke up from the long sleep, a small bandage was on his arm instead of the needle. Thanks to the IV, his headache was gone and his body felt refreshed.
The room was silent like the deep ocean, and it seemed Han was alone.
Han got up from the bed, enduring a slight dizziness, and immediately encountered Taeshin.
He was sitting on the sofa facing the bedroom, as if waiting for Han to come out.
Taken by surprise, Han paused in his steps.
“If you’re awake, leave.”
Taeshin spoke in an emotionless voice. His gaze, once fiery hot, was now coldly frozen.
Han told himself not to be fooled by Taeshin’s mask anymore.
“I don’t want to.”
“…What?”
“I’ve been staying here for a while, and I don’t like it. It’s cramped and dark…”
“Hah…”
Taeshin let out a sarcastic laugh. Han took a step towards Taeshin and asked.
“Why… did you save me?”
“…”
Taeshin’s silent gaze was colder than ever. He sighed as if Han was a nuisance.
Han knew he couldn’t shake Taeshin with this level of questioning. But more important questions were waiting.
“Do you love me?”
As I asked this, I felt very unfamiliar with myself asking such a question, as if it didn’t feel real. The air between us was silent and still.
“…No.”
After a few seconds, Taeshin replied. This was the answer Han had fully expected.
“If it’s not like that, then why do you keep helping me?”
“Don’t get the wrong idea. I just didn’t like you muddying the waters of my shop.”
With a curt reply, Taeshin got up from his seat and turned his back, making it clear he didn’t want to continue the conversation. Han strode over and grabbed Taeshin’s shirt sleeve.
“Tell me.”
“Let go.”
Taeshin looked down at Han with a face full of irritation.
“If you want to do this love thing, do it with someone else.”
“…What?”
It felt like Han had been hit in the back of the head. Taeshin gave a bitter smile and continued.
“If you’re just feeling empty, I can fill you up. That’s about it.”
“…”
“Don’t expect anything more from me.”
Suddenly, Han wanted to provoke him. He wanted to see Taeshin shaken and surprised by him, just as he always had been.
He hoped that Taeshin, realizing Han now had other options, would feel a sense of crisis or restlessness.
He knew such emotions didn’t suit Taeshin, but he hoped that with what he was about to say, Taeshin would feel that way and ultimately acknowledge his own feelings and hold on to Han.
“…Do you know Actress Shin Soyoung?”
“What about her?”
“She’s my birth mother.”
“I see.”
Han’s eyes momentarily lost focus, filled with a sense of emptiness and confusion. On Taeshin’s refined face, which always emanated a cool aura, there was no sign of surprise or bewilderment, only deep incomprehension, as if to say “what does that have to do with me?”
It was Han who was flustered.
“She, she asked me to go with her. To America… And if I go, I probably won’t be back for a long time.”
“That’s good.”
“…What?”
“It’s better than a penniless person like me suddenly showing up claiming to be your parent and asking me to take care of them in their old age.”
“…”
“Even a famous actress like Shin Soyoung knows my name… With her status, money, and fame, it would be stupid not to go with her.”
It was a remarkably lighthearted remark. Han looked at the man who was listing Shin Soyoung’s advantages as if arranging a match, with deeply wounded eyes.
“I, I… If you say not to go.”
“If I say not to go, you won’t go?”
Taeshin let out a mocking laugh and ran his hand through his hair, as if he was bored with this conversation.
“Get a grip. Why have you become so different lately? It’s boring.”
“…Boring?”
“Yeah. I used to enjoy crushing your struggling, but lately you’ve been too obedient. It’s not fresh anymore.”
Hearing those words, Han’s heart felt incredibly heavy.
He had been acting like he knew everything, but why didn’t he know this?
That I’ve been thinking about you for some time now. Though I can’t understand it myself, the face that always comes to mind in my darkest moments is yours. And surely, you too…
“Why… Why are you lying? Isn’t it true, you like me…”
“Who said that?”
Taeshin scoffed, incredulous.
“Just ask me to fvck you instead.”
At the cruel words poured out coldly, Han’s brown eyes swelled with transparent tears.
“You haven’t answered my question yet. You, do you…”
“Fvck, I’m done. Stop being a nuisance and just take your clothes off if you want to get fucked.”
Taeshin approached with a threatening expression, loosening his tie.
