- Episode 3 - We Met Again… In Front of the Bathroom (Part 2)
During the break after second period, the group of gyaru girls had apparently gone to check out the new transfer student in Class 6.
“Hey, wasn’t he seriously good-looking? I barely got a glimpse of his face with all those people around him though.”
“Bet the competition for him is gonna be insane. What do you think, Saho?”
Sounded like the rumors were true. The new guy must be seriously handsome. If even the looks-obsessed girls in our class were this impressed, he had to be something else.
“Hmm… I only saw him through the door window, so I didn’t really get a good look,” Saho replied.
Luckily, Minamikata hadn’t seen his face clearly yet.
She scratched her head with her index finger and let out a light “Ahaha,” trying to play it cool.
I felt a bit relieved eavesdropping on the girls’ conversation when they got back to the classroom. Still, it was only a matter of time.
As long as we went to the same school, Minamikata would eventually get a proper look at that good-looking transfer student. No way around it. But since the girls had already taken a field trip to Class 6, they seemed somewhat satisfied for now.
By the next break, the excitement around the new guy started to die down, and their conversations drifted back to the usual stuff.
Outside the gyaru circle, people were still buzzing about him through lunch, but by the time school was over, things had mostly calmed down.
If he’d been placed in our class, I’m sure he’d have stayed the talk of the school a lot longer. But since it was someone else’s class, people moved on pretty fast.
“Still… I can’t help being curious.”
As soon as the final homeroom ended, I stuffed my textbooks into my bag, slung it over my shoulder, and slipped out of our classroom.
Class 6 was located on a higher floor than Class 4, but it was still in the same school building.
It was after school, so the crowd around him should’ve thinned out a bit. I figured I’d at least get a decent look at his face through the door window.
“…Okay, nope. I was way off.”
Peeking into Class 6 from the hallway, I saw a circle of students gathered around one desk.
Most of them were girls from Class 6, while the guys looked annoyed and quietly left the room. Can’t blame them—if a guy suddenly shows up and grabs all the attention from the girls, it’s not gonna sit well.
With the guys gone, the room felt a little less packed, and I could finally get a clear view of the transfer student.
“!? Oh, you’ve gotta be kidding me…”
The moment his face came into view, something inside me just gave up.
His looks weren’t just good—they were on a whole other level. It felt ridiculous to even feel jealous. He was that overwhelmingly attractive.
You’d probably call his appearance androgynous, maybe? Pale skin, delicate features, and a well-shaped face. His black hair was in a long wolf cut that reached his shoulders, with just the nape dyed red.
He was wearing the same school uniform as me, but on him, it looked like a tailored designer outfit—so flawless, it almost felt like a dream.
While I was staring, kind of stunned, he stood up and started packing his things.
I couldn’t hear what he was saying from the hallway, but judging by how he waved to his classmates, it looked like he was heading out alone.
Even just waving goodbye looked stylish on him… too good-looking to be real.
When I noticed him walking toward the hallway, I quickly stepped back from the door. He walked past me and headed for the stairs.
“Right… It’s his first day, after all.”
He went down the stairwell on the side closest to the faculty office, not the one leading to the entrance.
I figured he was probably heading there for some paperwork or a quick check-in with his homeroom teacher—stuff like “How was your first day?” and so on.
Still… yeah. I’d lost. Completely.
Not that I ever thought a guy like me could compete with someone who gets labeled “hot” the second he shows up at school. But that guy wasn’t just good-looking—he was easily one of the best-looking people I’ve ever seen. I could even believe he was a celebrity.
Minamikata and that guy didn’t know each other (as far as I knew), but someone as cute and kind as her—the class idol—would only match with someone like him.
I hadn’t even made it to the starting line, and yet it already felt like I’d lost.
Still… there was something.
Just for a moment, when we passed each other, something about him snagged in my mind.
Up close, I could see how flawless his pale skin was and how striking his profile looked. The red tips of his hair fluttered slightly as he walked, and there was a faint, sweet scent.
He was a bit shorter than the average guy, but he stood tall with perfect posture and long, slim legs—he looked like an actual model.
So perfect, it almost felt fake… and yet, somehow familiar.
But no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t figure out why he felt so familiar.
“What is this… feeling?”
I stared down the hallway where he’d disappeared. But I didn’t chase after him—I turned in the opposite direction and headed down the stairs near the entrance.
I wasn’t planning to chase that vague feeling of nostalgia. The foggy, unsettled feeling in my chest had no clear answer, and I had no idea how to make sense of it anyway.
But then—at the bottom of the stairs—I saw something I shouldn’t have.
Something that only made that weird feeling stronger and scrambled my thoughts even more.
Wait… didn’t he go to the faculty office?
Even if not, what the hell was that shady move?
Near the bathrooms by the entrance… more specifically, right in front of the girls’ bathroom.
Standing there was a single male student—
That gorgeous transfer student.
