Summary
On the first anniversary of Feng Yue and Yan Lin’s marriage, Feng Yue lost her temper in front of Yan Lin for the first time.
Like a madwoman, she hysterically questioned, disregarding her image:
“If you didn’t want to marry me, why did you agree in the first place?!”
In response, Yan Lin’s voice was cold and calm: “Marriage was your request.”
Feng Yue had been secretly in love with Yan Lin for twelve whole years. Yet, their marriage lasted less than two years before Feng Yue passed away from brain cancer.
Her cold and lofty wife, Yan Lin, didn’t even see her one last time before her death.
Upon waking from a dream, Feng Yue realized she was merely a supporting character in a novel.
The real protagonists were none other than her legal wife, Yan Lin, and a woman named Chu An’an.
Given a second chance, Feng Yue refused to be cannon fodder again.
She decided to let Yan Lin go and live her remaining days for herself.
“Let’s get a divorce.”
Looking at her icy yet beautiful wife, Feng Yue proposed without any attachment.
The next second, Yan Lin’s hand, which had been turning her wedding ring, paused slightly. For the first time, a ripple of emotion stirred in her usually calm and unyielding eyes.
“…What did you say?”
Witnessing her wife’s death with her own eyes, Yan Lin finally understood that letting go of a habit formed over twelve years felt like cutting flesh from her bones.
Fortunately, heaven granted her a second chance—she was reborn. This time, she would never let Feng Yue repeat the same tragic fate.
But Feng Yue handed her a divorce agreement, shattering all her hopes.
Content Warning Guide:
0. The events in the novel The Past of An and Lin are merely a prophetic vision. They never actually happened. After Yan Lin was reborn three years after Feng Yue’s death, the original timeline was completely erased. So, please don’t dwell on things that never occurred. If you find it unbearable, consider reading something else to spare both yourself and me. [Thank you]
1. Melodramatic, truly melodramatic. If you can’t handle it, dear readers, run away quick. This is a “chasing the wife to the crematorium” trope.
2. The top (Yan Lin) is reborn; the bottom (Feng Yue) awakens.
3. There will be a divorce, followed by reconciliation and mending broken ties. No change of top, no change of top, NO CHANGE OF TOP.
4. The bottom’s illness will be cured—don’t ask, it’s a Jinjiang-exclusive medical miracle.
5. Actually, the top doesn’t dislike the bottom; she’s just used to her presence, bad at expressing herself, and has a cold personality.
