My Female Python Roommate Always Wants To Eat Me. - Chapter 1
Chapter 1
The weather in Shanhai City was humid and muggy. It had rained yesterday, but the air felt even more stifling, and the cicadas were almost silent.
Bai Fuxue adjusted the brim of her cap to block out the scorching sun.
An ordinary baseball cap, of course, couldn’t block out UV rays. Its more important purpose was to hide her distinctively long ears.
A large umbrella quickly tilted over her head, accompanied by her family’s earnest warnings.
“A-Xue, remember to keep your distance from your classmates at school. People like us are different in the human world. If you’re discovered, they’ll catch you, cut you open, and use you for research. Your second great-uncle left us that way.”
“Don’t get drunk outside, and don’t watch horror movies in front of people.”
“When your estrus cycle comes, ask your teacher for leave and stay off campus.”
“…”
Bai Fuxue’s parents said everything they could think of, especially worried that their gentle and beautiful daughter would be bullied or exposed.
They even considered quitting their jobs to move to Shanhai City and accompany her.
Their daughter had to persuade them many times to give up the idea.
Bai Fuxue was originally very strong, but as the time for goodbye approached, her heart swelled and ached. Hearing such concerned words made her unable to hold back the tears. She rubbed her eyes, stopping the crystal tears from falling, and said goodbye to her parents in front of the dorm building.
She promised, “I’ll take good care of myself. I remember everything you said. Don’t worry.”
After finally convincing her worried parents to leave, Bai Fuxue turned around, her knuckles gripping the suitcase handle tightly. The tears she had held back all the way couldn’t be stopped anymore, forming a blurry sheen in her eyes.
Sniffling, she took the dorm key assigned by her teacher from her pocket, silently recited the room number and floor, and successfully arrived.
The door to room 608 was ajar, and she could faintly hear muffled voices from inside.
Someone was already there.
Realizing this, Bai Fuxue’s palms became slightly clammy. She took a deep breath and pushed the door open.
She was determined to leave a good first impression on her roommates.
She curved her lips, her warm voice flowing out, “Hi, everyone…” The rest of her words froze the next second.
A cold, damp, and dangerous aura locked onto her the moment she entered the dorm room.
It made her hair stand on end, as if she was being targeted by a natural predator, about to be torn apart and eaten, with no body left behind.
She stiffly turned her head, screaming internally.
Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!
She was caught off guard by a pair of deep green double pupils.
The pupils were a deep, dark color, with a layer of intricate gray patterns on the surface, adding a sense of mystery and danger.
The person had a head of thick, golden hair like seaweed, with deep, three-dimensional features. Every inch of her body was exquisitely perfect, as if she were a darling of the creator. Her lips were naturally rosy, and her eyes were enchanting and full of emotion. The way she looked at people came with a natural filter of deep affection, easily achieving a captivating effect.
Unfortunately, Bai Fuxue couldn’t spare the attention to appreciate it. Her ears were burning, growing longer by the inch, making her cap wobble.
A faint “hissing” sound also came from the air, like a snake’s breath…
It must be a misconception.
How could there be a snake in a human school?
She was just too nervous and paranoid.
She tried her best to hold down her trembling cap. Her mind began to fantasize about being pressed onto an operating table and cut open. She didn’t have time to think and quickly rushed into the bathroom, locking the door and closing the window.
She took off her cap, letting her long rabbit ears grow freely until they drooped to her lower back, shaking restlessly in the air.
She calmed herself down inside for a while, and after confirming that her heart rate was normal, she used her magic to retract her rabbit ears, turning them back into human ears.
She carefully checked herself in the mirror, making sure there were no flaws, then cautiously twisted the doorknob and unlocked it.
First, she poked out her furry head, followed by her body, and continued to greet her roommates: “Hello everyone… I’m Bai Fuxue, from the Fine Arts Department.”
Everyone looked at her. The first person Bai Fuxue saw was still the golden-haired girl who had given her so much pressure.
This time, the dangerous, deep aura had faded a lot.
The golden-haired girl was wearing a pair of glasses, which just happened to cover her original eye color, and her double pupils had become less distinct.
Bai Fuxue’s tense body relaxed a little.
The other two roommates were much more enthusiastic than the golden-haired girl. They surrounded her brightly and introduced themselves.
One was named An Xin, and the other girl was named Song Jiajia. Both were local.
They had already seen the roommate list pasted on the wall and knew each other’s names.
“We were just thinking that the last roommate’s name was so cute. We were wondering what she’d look like in person, and then you arrived.”
“You’re truly living up to your name.”
“I bet everyone noticed you the moment you entered the school!”
“We’re so lucky to be roommates with you.”
“I have such good luck. I get to live with two stunning beauties for four years of university. I am a devout believer, and I will cherish this connection.”
Bai Fuxue was very embarrassed by the direct praise, and her lovely cheeks quickly turned a rosy pink.
She awkwardly dealt with the enthusiastic roommates while wondering what the silent golden-haired girl thought of her.
She’s so quiet?
She didn’t say a word to her.
Does she dislike her for her strange behavior earlier?
Just as she was feeling uneasy, a deep, pleasant voice, like heavy metal, entered her ears, speaking her name.
“Bai Fuxue—”
The name was spoken with the intimate tone of a lover’s whisper.
Bai Fuxue’s heart fluttered, and her earlobes felt hot. She tried hard to resist the urge to scratch her ears.
“Which three characters?” she asked slowly.
Although she wanted to say that the list was on the wall, Bai Fuxue obediently replied, “‘Bai’ is the ‘bai’ from ‘white snow,’ and ‘Fu’ is the ‘fu’ from ‘light breeze stroking the mountain peak.'”
The girl gave a soft chuckle, repeated her name, and commented, “It sounds very nice.”
Then she gave her belated self-introduction: “Lu Qimin.”
Bai Fuxue silently repeated the name and smiled at her new roommate in a friendly way. “I’ve got it.”
A phone was then held out in front of her, the screen displaying a QR code.
“Let’s add each other as friends. We’re in the same dorm, so it’ll be more convenient to contact each other if anything comes up.”
Bai Fuxue was a little surprised but quickly took out her phone to scan the code. “Okay.”
Only after hearing the ‘beep’ sound was Lu Qimin satisfied and put her phone away, accepting Bai Fuxue’s friend request.
After adding Lu Qimin, Bai Fuxue also added An Xin and Song Jiajia.
It turned out that Lu Qimin didn’t dislike her; she just didn’t like to talk much.
Her roommates were all very nice people.
Such a good start made Bai Fuxue look forward to her future university life.
After a brief introduction, Bai Fuxue walked to the empty bed opposite Lu Qimin and began to unpack her luggage.
She wet a towel, climbed up and down the ladder, and meticulously cleaned her bed, completely absorbed in her task.
This allowed Lu Qimin to size her up without restraint.
Her eyes repeatedly glanced over the section of pure white, slender waist that was revealed as Bai Fuxue climbed the ladder, causing her shirt to ride up.
It was very thin, small enough to be circled with one hand.
Lu Qimin’s throat rolled slightly. A fierce storm raged in her eyes. She wanted to leave a mark on that waist, to brand it as her own.
The desire passed in a flash, unseen by anyone.
Bai Fuxue, just like her name, was as pure as snow. She wore a light blue camisole with a white pleated skirt. Her skin was like creamy fat, and every exposed inch was a milky white, like a soft, sticky coconut mochi ball, making one want to take a bite out of her.
Her face was small, with big round eyes, two dimples on her cheeks, full lips, and a delicate, petite chin. She had the innocent, harmless face of a first love.
She was obedient, cute, and just made you want to tease her and crush her into pieces.
The moment Lu Qimin saw Bai Fuxue, she felt a craving. She wanted to grab her rabbit tail and claim her for herself.
