My Female Python Roommate Always Wants To Eat Me. - Chapter 16
Chapter 16
On the way back from the infirmary, Bai Fuxue’s reactions became stronger. As she walked, her body would twist uncontrollably, and she couldn’t walk in a straight line.
Her face grew hotter and hotter, revealing a flush of crimson.
The ears hidden in her hat also grew fluffier bit by bit, growing into the shape of the fake rabbit ears.
She let out a low, weak gasp and leaned on Lu Qimin’s arm as if it were a life raft, walking with great difficulty.
The short walk felt incredibly tough.
Lu Qimin’s calm expression also crumbled little by little due to Bai Fuxue’s clingy behavior. The girl’s unconscious light rubs and her delicate, melodious gasps ignited a fire in her heart. The anxiety and gloom in her eyes were so thick they couldn’t be diluted. Her throat was incredibly dry, and she was too hoarse to speak. She was fiercely tempted…
Finally, back in the dorm, Lu Qimin helped Bai Fuxue sit on a chair and collapsed on another chair beside her.
Her forehead was covered in a fine layer of sweat. The sweat on the side of her forehead rolled down the curve of her cheek. Her eyes were bloodshot, as if she had just gone through an intense physical training.
She raised her well-defined fingers, took off her glasses, placed them on the table, and held her temples with both hands, trying to calm her rapid breathing.
The little rabbit was doing the same thing as her. The entire way back, Bai Fuxue’s mind was highly focused, fighting against the frantic hormones in her body, trying not to be completely controlled by them.
Back in the private space, her mind could finally relax.
But she also felt that the chaotic energy in her body was about to become uncontrollable. If she didn’t stop it now, she would perform a great magic trick and turn into a rabbit in front of Lu Qimin.
She carefully climbed up the bed ladder, enduring the soreness in her legs. She took out a small password box from her cabinet, entered the password, and took out a finger-sized pillbox.
Inside were a few individually wrapped pills that were a deep blue color. Their surfaces were smooth without any markings, and the packaging didn’t have a production date.
They had the mysterious vibe of an unknown brand.
Her parents had given them to her before she left for school. They said that a talented master of their clan with great magical powers had developed them. They were potions that could control the energy fluctuations of her heat cycle, and taking one could effectively suppress the urge.
However, this potion also had significant side effects. She could only take one during this period, and it was recommended to take it when the energy fluctuations reached their peak.
If she took too much, it would lead to even more chaotic energy, worse than before she took the pill, which would be counterproductive.
Bai Fuxue unwrapped one of the pills and chewed it.
She felt the energy in her body slowly calming down. Only her forehead was still hot.
She repeated the previous steps, carefully putting the password box away and placing it in the cabinet.
She climbed down the bed steadily, moved a chair next to Lu Qimin, and sat down. She gently tugged on her sleeve, embarrassed, “Lu Qimin, thank you for coming to the infirmary with me.”
After taking off her glasses, Lu Qimin’s double pupils lost the obstruction of the lenses. The second set of eyes behind her pupils shimmered faintly, looking at the girl in front of her with an eerie, deep gaze.
The hand gripping her sleeve suddenly tightened, clenching into deep wrinkles out of nervousness.
Lu Qimin’s lips curved upward. She subtly twitched her nose, sniffing the air.
The little rabbit’s scent was slowly dissipating. It seemed the little rabbit had used some special method to get through her heat cycle.
She felt a sense of loss.
It would be a long time before she would see the little rabbit’s helpless look, tangled in desire.
She carefully hid this disappointment. She raised her hand and brushed Bai Fuxue’s forehead. The temperature was much lower than it had been that morning, no longer burning.
“Did you take your medicine?”
A low, pleasant voice flowed into Bai Fuxue’s ears, gentle yet powerful.
Bai Fuxue’s face felt inexplicably hot. She reached out and scratched the back of her neck, muttering a soft “yeah.”
She paused for a second or two, getting through the subtle atmosphere.
She remembered the question from the infirmary and asked hesitantly, “Lu Qimin, what did you mean when you called me ‘xiao mi zha’ just now?”
She had a gut feeling that there was a teasing meaning in Lu Qimin’s mocking smile at that time.
But no matter how hard she thought about the three words, she couldn’t figure out their meaning.
She really wanted to know, so she could only ask the person herself.
“That?” A smile flashed in Lu Qimin’s eyes, and she drew out the last syllable.
She hung Bai Fuxue’s heart up high, waiting for the verdict to fall.
Was it a mockery or something else? Bai Fuxue was so curious it was driving her crazy.
Finally, the verdict was delivered.
Lu Qimin reached out and wrapped a soft, dark strand of the little rabbit’s hair around her finger. Her pale fingertips were intertwined with the soft, black hair, which carried a faint, subtle scent. The black and white intermingled, a stark and profound contrast.
She spoke slowly, “In our Yunnan dialect, that word is used to describe a person who is small, childish, mischievous, and a little bit cute. A-Xue fits the description of a ‘xiao mi zha’ perfectly.”
She called Bai Fuxue that again.
After hearing the explanation, the girl’s fair face was like a canvas being painted with watercolors.
A blush of embarrassment slowly appeared.
Her clean, cute teeth shyly pressed down on her glistening red lips, leaving a dent.
She was so mortified. She was an adult, yet her roommate was calling her a child…
She lifted her chin and let out a broken, weak protest: “I’m not, I’m not mischievous.”
“You’re not mischievous,” Lu Qimin said with a hint of a smile, “But A-Xue is afraid of shots, just like a child, and that’s cute.”
Bai Fuxue: “…”
Bai Fuxue pouted. Her urge to protest instantly dissipated.
She tried to think of words to refute her.
“I, I’m not afraid,” she struggled, trying to tear off the label Lu Qimin had given her.
“Then what is it?”
Bai Fuxue couldn’t think of any other explanation besides telling the truth. Her struggle failed, and she gave up in defeat. “Whatever. If you say so, then I’m a ‘xiao mi zha’.”
She puffed out her cheeks in frustration, revealing her full apple cheeks on both sides of her face, which made her look like a sweet, inviting peach, cute and alluring.
Lu Qimin’s heart fluttered. She couldn’t resist reaching out and pinching the little rabbit’s cheek.
Her fingertips immediately sank into her soft skin.
It felt incredibly good.
The bouncing sensation made Lu Qimin feel dizzy.
She immediately became addicted, pinching it over and over again, unable to get enough.
Until the little rabbit couldn’t take it anymore. She slapped her hand away and pouted, complaining pitifully to her, “You have a strong grip. You’re going to pinch my face off.”
