My Female Python Roommate Always Wants To Eat Me. - Chapter 2
Chapter 2
Naturally, Bai Fuxue had no idea what kind of unspeakable thoughts lay hidden in the deep gaze that Lu Qimin cast upon her.
She had arrived a bit late, and by the time she finished setting up her bed, it was already almost dinnertime.
On the first day of university, none of the four of them were familiar with the campus, so they naturally went out to eat together.
For dinner, they chose a conveyor belt hotpot restaurant near the school, which suited everyone’s tastes.
After selecting their soup bases, An Xin and Song Jiajia sat on either side of Bai Fuxue. Lu Qimin was a step behind and didn’t get a spot.
She stood still, her eyelids slightly lowered, and calmly suggested, “Let’s go to the condiments bar to get our sauces.”
Everyone got up. After Bai Fuxue finished her sauce and returned to her seat, her vision blurred, and the commanding presence of Lu Qimin enveloped her. Her seatmate had been replaced.
Bai Fuxue froze, looking up at the person beside her.
But she was met with an even more confused question: “Are you not going to put any food in?”
“Ah, I am.”
Bai Fuxue subconsciously put some greens and mushrooms into the bubbling hotpot, giving up on questioning Lu Qimin’s action of sitting next to her.
After all, seating at a meal wasn’t fixed. Maybe Lu Qimin just saw the empty spot next to her and sat down.
The greens were cooked instantly in the boiling water. Bai Fuxue fished them out and dipped them into the sauce mixed with chili powder. She unconsciously puffed out her cheeks as she contentedly put the food into her mouth.
Her pale lips were quickly coated with a shiny red layer, which looked especially striking under the restaurant’s spotlights.
It looked like they had been soaked in savory, spicy juice.
Just one glance, and you could only think of the word “delicious.”
Lu Qimin didn’t hide her burning gaze, observing Bai Fuxue eat, which was more interesting to her than filling her own stomach.
She followed Bai Fuxue’s gaze and, before she could, took the dish she wanted and piled it up next to Bai Fuxue’s hand.
“Do you want this?”
The food that suddenly appeared in front of her was given to her by her roommate with the intimidating aura.
Bai Fuxue was a little overwhelmed by the unexpected gesture.
Her eyelashes fluttered as she weakly responded, “Mm-hmm…”
She subconsciously put the vegetables into the boiling pot and then glanced at the woman beside her. With the tired smile still in her eyes as she looked at her, Bai Fuxue suddenly had an inappropriate thought.
Lu Qimin seemed like a maid exclusively serving her.
Her ears turned red for a moment, and she quickly tried to suppress the idea.
Seeing Lu Qimin’s empty bowl, she tried to make up for it by saying, “What do you want to eat? I’ll cook it for you.”
Hearing this, Lu Qimin raised an eyebrow, speaking very slowly: “What you chose is pretty good.”
The implication was very strong.
Bai Fuxue didn’t have time to think about how she and Lu Qimin could be so in sync. Seeing the food that was already cooked in the pot, she quickly picked up a piece with her chopsticks, intending to put it in Lu Qimin’s bowl so she could eat first.
But the moment she moved, Lu Qimin seemed to sense it and leaned her head over, her lips resting against Bai Fuxue’s hand.
Bai Fuxue froze, unable to move, taken aback by Lu Qimin’s casual attitude.
Lu Qimin belatedly realized she had misunderstood.
She questioned uncertainly, “Aren’t you going to feed me?”
She was so, so close. Bai Fuxue could clearly see the patterns on the surface of her deep green pupils beneath her glasses. They were distinct and profound, like a strong vortex at the bottom of the sea, deep and mysterious.
Staring at them for too long, Bai Fuxue felt as if she was about to be sucked in by that vortex.
She shook herself awake, pulling herself out of it, and refocused on the current situation.
She stammered, “It’s hot.”
It would be better to put it in the bowl and wait for the food to cool before eating.
She thought Lu Qimin would take the bowl, but instead, Lu Qimin leaned in even closer, opened her thin lips, and blew on the steaming hot food. After doing it a few times, she took the green vegetable stalk with her mouth. Her flexible pink tongue protruded slightly and, in a moment, skillfully pulled the stalk in.
Her lips and tongue lightly brushed against Bai Fuxue’s chopsticks.
Then, Lu Qimin sought praise, as if for a job well done: “It’s not hot after I blow on it.”
Bai Fuxue: “…”
Bai Fuxue was completely stunned.
Her heart was beating out of rhythm.
She never expected Lu Qimin to do such a thing.
An Xin and Song Jiajia, who had unintentionally watched the whole thing, reacted even more strongly.
They yelled and made a fuss: “Ahhhhhh, Xiao Bai, you’re secretly feeding Lu Qimin behind our backs!!”
“I want to be fed by Xiao Bai, too.”
“Me too, me too. We’re all good sisters in the same dorm, how can you play favorites?”
Faced with the soft, adorable, and delicate-looking Bai Fuxue, An Xin and Song Jiajia could naturally use intimate nicknames and joke around with her.
But Lu Qimin’s presence was too strong, with an intimidating aura that made them feel awkward about giving her a nickname. They instinctively kept their distance and called her by her full name.
Bai Fuxue had a good impression of her roommates. The playful commotion diluted the subtle feelings she had just experienced.
She thought that feeding a roommate was a normal thing to do.
They were all girls. It didn’t matter if they used the same pair of chopsticks, right?
She smiled slightly at the two of them, ignoring Lu Qimin beside her, and said good-naturedly, “What do you two want to eat? I’ll feed you.”
“Rice cakes!” and “Fishballs!” the two of them quickly shouted out the names of the dishes.
Bai Fuxue picked the dishes and put them into the pot.
The two opposite her made a face as if waiting to be fed.
The moment Lu Qimin heard An Xin and Song Jiajia call Bai Fuxue “Xiao Bai,” she couldn’t help but frown. When she saw that Bai Fuxue was actually going to feed the two of them, her face completely darkened.
How could others enjoy the same treatment as her?
Lu Qimin’s tongue pressed against her teeth. She unhappily licked her palate, and a gloomy voice rumbled from her throat.
“You’re all trying to take advantage of A-Xue? She’ll get tired. How about I feed you instead?” She said “A-Xue” without a change in expression and proceeded to unwrap a pair of shared chopsticks as if to feed them.
The scene was silent for one second, then two.
An Xin and Song Jiajia looked at each other, imagining being fed by Lu Qimin. They couldn’t help but shiver, feeling that they were not worthy of such a blessing.
Being fed by Xiao Bai was a happy thing, but if it were Lu Qimin, it would feel like torture.
They stammered, “No, no need. We were just joking.”
They quietly returned to their original seats, not saying a word, and focused on finishing the food in front of them.
Lu Qimin also seemed to return to normal, eating quietly.
Only Bai Fuxue remained a little unsettled.
She would occasionally glance at Lu Qimin.
She was thinking about how naturally Lu Qimin had called her “A-Xue.”
Of course, Lu Qimin knew Bai Fuxue was stealing glances at her. She caught every single one of them.
She was happy to receive her little rabbit’s attention. On the surface, she was calm and collected, but she felt that this hotpot meal was exceptionally delicious.
The moment Bai Fuxue put down her chopsticks, Lu Qimin immediately asked, “Are you full?”
Bai Fuxue wiped the oil from her lips with a napkin and nodded. “Yes.”
“You haven’t bought all your daily necessities yet, have you?”
Bai Fuxue nodded again, not understanding the meaning.
The next moment, Lu Qimin loosely wrapped her arm around Bai Fuxue’s waist and stood up, saying goodbye to An Xin and Song Jiajia: “You two can keep eating. I’m taking A-Xue to buy some daily necessities.”
With Lu Qimin’s sudden closeness, Bai Fuxue’s heart raced, and she completely lost the ability to speak.
It was a valid reason, and she couldn’t refuse.
Her limbs felt weak as she followed the person out.
The group of four had turned into a solo trip for her and Lu Qimin.
