My Female Python Roommate Always Wants To Eat Me. - Chapter 9
Chapter 9
Bai Fuxue wrapped her hair in a towel, not bothering with her wet hair anymore. She sat curled up at the head of her bed, intently looking at the photos in the post.
She clicked on each one, carefully studying the angles.
She imagined where the person taking the photos might have been standing.
Looking at all the photos, it could have been a random person, or it could have been a classmate who was resting nearby at the time.
She inexplicably remembered the few female classmates who had surrounded her after she and Lu Qimin separated that morning. Their behavior at that time was similar to the comments in the post.
Could it have been them who took the photos?
Bai Fuxue was so absorbed in her thoughts that she didn’t even consider the reason why the post’s popularity had suddenly skyrocketed and remained on the first page.
Her bed and Lu Qimin’s bed were only separated by a railing. There was nothing else blocking the space above them, so Lu Qimin could easily reach her with a single extension of her arm.
The towel she had wrapped her hair in was loosely tied. It was already starting to come undone, and black strands of hair kept escaping from the gaps, with water droplets wetting her neck.
She gave a slight shiver, as if she was stimulated by the sudden coolness.
Lu Qimin saw it clearly.
Bai Fuxue had a lot of hair, and even in the summer, it would take a while to dry if left alone.
Since she had seen it, she knew she had to do something about it.
Lu Qimin sat a little closer to the head of her bed. With one hand, she gathered Bai Fuxue’s hair, and with the other, she untied the towel and carefully laid her hair down her back.
Then, she separated her hair into sections, used the towel to dry them, absorbing the moisture.
Once her hair was no longer dripping, she took a bottle of hair oil from her storage cabinet, pumped a few drops into her palm, and repeatedly rubbed it onto Bai Fuxue’s hair, using her fingers as a comb to detangle Bai Fuxue’s long hair.
After taking care of Bai Fuxue’s hair to perfection, she let go and saw that Bai Fuxue’s gaze was still fixated on the post. Her expression was serious, as if she were solving a difficult math problem.
Lu Qimin’s eyes narrowed slightly. She leaned close to Bai Fuxue’s ear and asked in a low voice, “Does it bother you a lot?”
The sudden closeness of her voice made Bai Fuxue immediately drop her phone. Her ears trembled and felt a little hot. She hadn’t heard what Lu Qimin said, so she mumbled a vague “hmm.”
Her wandering gaze perfectly expressed her current state.
Lu Qimin asked again, “A-Xue, do you care that people are talking about the two of us together?”
Bai Fuxue suddenly came to her senses and frowned in thought.
While waiting for her response, Lu Qimin quietly clenched her fingertips.
She thought that if the little rabbit said she was bothered, she would revoke the command and let the post’s popularity return to normal.
They still had four years of living together. She would have plenty of opportunities to bind herself to her little rabbit in other ways.
“I was just looking at the photos and wondering who took them.”
Through Lu Qimin’s question, Bai Fuxue began to confront her own psychology.
She deeply analyzed her inner thoughts.
She was surprised to find that all she was thinking about was analyzing the photographer.
Although she wasn’t used to being in the spotlight.
When others talked about her and Lu Qimin, linking her name with Lu Qimin’s and interpreting their interactions through the lens of a romantic relationship, it was exactly like Qi Zian’s roommates’ reaction when he gave her water. Yet, she didn’t feel disgusted at all. The only thing she felt was confusion. Their interactions were very normal, so what was so sweet about them?
Once she had figured it out, she followed her heart and answered, “It doesn’t bother me.”
Lu Qimin’s clenched fingers relaxed.
A strong feeling of joy surged in her heart. The little person inside her danced gracefully, performing a romantic waltz.
She looked deeply at the pure and serene little rabbit in front of her, resting her head on Bai Fuxue’s slender shoulder and saying in a muffled voice, “Then don’t worry about it.”
The moment she rested her head on Bai Fuxue’s shoulder, she could clearly feel the little rabbit’s body instantly stiffen, trembling as she tried to escape, but she couldn’t break free.
She couldn’t see Bai Fuxue’s expression, but she could imagine that she must have looked helpless.
So cute.
Lu Qimin’s heart began to beat abnormally from being so smitten.
The feeling of being unable to handle herself, which she had experienced on the training ground that morning after foolishly teaching Bai Fuxue how to comfort her, came back in full force.
She couldn’t focus on training for the entire morning. Her mind was filled with the little rabbit’s perfect dimples, the pure and lively spirit in her smiles and frowns, like a budding gardenia holding all its girlish thoughts out to you.
She radiated an incredible charm without even knowing it.
Lu Qimin surrendered.
Too cute, too cute, too cute, too cute…
The little rabbit was a sweet, soft candy!
She wanted to fall into this a second time.
Comforting her just once was not enough.
She remained in her position, with her head on Bai Fuxue’s shoulder, softening her voice with a hint of pleading, “A-Xue, say it again, okay?”
She was so close that the resonance of her chest as she spoke was directly transmitted to Bai Fuxue’s body.
It made all her internal organs tremble along with it, as if she were on a swaying boat.
“Say what?”
She was confused.
She tilted her head to the side, more clearly exposing her pale neck.
She resisted the urge to rub her ears.
Maybe if she just got a little farther away from Lu Qimin, it would be fine?
She didn’t expect Lu Qimin to get even closer to her ear, demanding, “Say it again, ‘I’m only good with big sister’… ”
“Saying it just once is not enough. I’m not satisfied.”
“I don’t…” Bai Fuxue refused with a trembling voice, feeling that something was not right.
She had already comforted her that morning, so why was she being asked to do it again?
When she saw Lu Qimin even turn on her phone’s voice recording feature, ready to record, she waved her hands and refused even more vehemently.
How could she record it?
The thought of Lu Qimin recording what she said and then replaying it over and over again made her ears blush to the point of bleeding.
But Lu Qimin wasn’t easy to get rid of.
When she refused, Lu Qimin just kept pestering her, turning into a constant human companion.
She kept calling her name over and over again, her tone becoming sweeter each time.
“A-Xue,”
“A-Xue…”
“Just say it.”
“A-Xue, I haven’t heard it enough.”
She even blew on her neck! That was too much!
The two of them were at a stalemate for a good half hour. Bai Fuxue couldn’t hold out against her any longer.
She mimicked Lu Qimin’s cold face and snatched her phone. “You’re not allowed to record. I’ll only say it once.”
Unfortunately, she was too sweet-looking. Even when she tried to put on a cold face, the effect was greatly reduced.
She didn’t look intimidating at all. She just looked like a cute, mochi ball that was about to melt.
Lu Qimin nodded eagerly and finally heard the word “big sister” from Bai Fuxue’s mouth again.
This time, it was the fierce version.
It didn’t sound like she was comforting her; it sounded like a threat.
But it was still… so cute that it was killing her.
