- My Fiancé Was Taken By My Younger Sister, But I Plan To Get My Revenge Through My Performance at The Social Party
- Episode 13 - Restoring the Relationship
Damian had been hearing low evaluations of the Blackthorn family’s party from all over. He was furious at the unexpected outcome, especially since he had entrusted it to Isabella, whom he believed to be more capable than Victoria. The critical words whispered among the nobles deeply wounded his pride.
“Isabella! Another failure, huh? Our reputation is in tatters, and my dignity is completely ruined. It was a mistake to entrust this to you.”
Damian called Isabella and scolded her.
“I worked very hard, you know. I’ve said it many times, but it’s because Lord Damian didn’t cooperate enough!”
Isabella desperately defended herself, shifting the blame for Damian’s lack of cooperation. As usual, she repeated her excuse, claiming the failure wasn’t her fault.
Damian felt uncomfortable with the fact that trusting her and leaving it to her had resulted in a huge failure. More than anything, he was fed up with her excuse-like attitude. He thought that he should no longer trust her.
Moreover, what was making Damian uncomfortable was Victoria’s high reputation after she left. Apparently, thanks to her planning, she had successfully organized the party multiple times. The praise he heard from all around only deepened his sense of regret.
Damian felt deeply that he should never have let Victoria go. That decision was the worst mistake he could have made. To be deceived into choosing Isabella over Victoria.
Amidst all this, Isabella suddenly came up with a life-saving idea.
“This time, I absolutely won’t fail. I’ll prepare the best party ever, unlike any we’ve had before!”
“Is it true?”
Damian looked at Isabella with a suspicious eye at her confident demeanor. He was fed up, thinking she would just make grand promises as usual and then fail.
“Leave it to me!”
“Fine. Do as you please.”
Damian told her to push him away, and surprisingly, Isabella smiled.
“Of course! I’ll do as I please.”
Saying that, Isabella energetically left the room.
After she left, Damian let out a deep sigh. He had only said “Do as you please” in a dismissive manner, not giving formal permission. Rather, he thought that this might be an opportunity to sort out his relationship with Isabella.
That’s right. If Isabella really takes reckless actions, I can just blame her for all the past failures and end the relationship. Then, somehow, I have to get engaged to Victoria again. Even now, I was painfully aware of her talent.
I heard that the man from the marquis family has become Victoria’s new fiancĂ©. But that should be manageable. If we exercise the power of the duke’s family, it is not impossible to annul the engagement.
Having reaffirmed Victoria’s importance, Damian decided to first tackle the immediate problem at hand. He began to specifically consider how to end his relationship with Isabella and how to retrieve Victoria from the man named Edward of the Hardwood Marquis family.
The problem started from my own judgment mistake. But I was just deceived. The one to blame is Isabella. And there’s also an issue with Victoria, who easily accepted things back then. However, if we restore the relationship to how it was, all the problems will surely be resolved. Believing this, Damian began to devise a new strategy.
