“Divorce? Pardon me? If you go through with that, you’ll be the one facing ruin—are you certain you’re prepared for that?”
I am a Countess.
My husband, the second son of a Duke’s family, has been engaged to me since childhood. However, he is nothing but a shameless philanderer. Then one day, of all things, he had the audacity to declare that he wanted a divorce.
So, I made it clear to him:
“The title belongs to me. This house, the retainers, and the fortune are all under the Countess’s name. If we divorce, what exactly do you plan to do?”
Panicked, my husband started spouting the most absurd nonsense. I, however, found it so utterly ridiculous that I dismissed him without hesitation—and then locked him in his room.
Even after that, he continued to flaunt his carefree nature, and every time, I made sure to put an end to his antics. But then, one day… he disappeared.
