My Jealous and Beautiful Villainous Wife (ABO) - Chapter 26
Si An’s back stiffened slightly. A moment later, a cold voice cut through the air
Stop staring at me.
Long Xiao tilted his head innocently, though the Omega couldn’t see his expression.
I’m not, the Alpha replied, his voice laced with amusement.
Si An glanced back, meeting Long Xiao’s gaze through his glasses.
With his glasses on, Long Xiao seemed more aloof than usual, a quality Si An found strangely appealing.
In the end, Si An said nothing, simply turning away again.
Long Xiao raised an eyebrow slightly and continued to follow Si An.
Compared to the living room’s minimalist, cold decor, the dining room was much warmer, at least enough to make one feel like eating.
A pristine white dining table stood in the center, adorned with the crystal vase Long Xiao had crafted himself, now holding a few delicate pink roses—an elegant touch.
The combination of fresh flowers and soft hues created a pleasant, uplifting atmosphere.
As they approached the table, Long Xiao lowered his head and pulled the prepared breakfast from his bag.
Si An sat at the dining table, propping his cheek with one hand as he quietly watched Long Xiao’s movements.
The Alpha’s hands were a full size larger than his own, with distinct knuckles and slender fingers. The prominent veins on the back of his hand conveyed a sense of strength.
Long Xiao had brought a breakfast spread that included not only his homemade century egg and lean pork congee and red date soy milk, but also a variety of dishes he’d purchased from the most renowned dim sum restaurant in the nearby commercial district. Special Assistant Chen had queued for two hours that morning just to secure the order.
The spread included soup-filled crab roe buns, crystal shrimp dumplings, chicken feet in black bean sauce, sticky rice chicken wraps, egg tarts, durian pastries, barbecued pork pastries, tofu skin steamed buns, custard buns, and more—so many varieties it was impossible to count them all. He pulled the entire massive bag from his space ring.
Of course, the spread also included Si An’s requested century egg and lean pork congee and red date soy milk.
Compared to Long Xiao’s homemade versions, the professionally prepared dishes from the restaurant undoubtedly tasted better.
However, as Si An watched the Alpha’s ceaseless movements, his brow furrowed. With his keen perception, he immediately recognized Long Xiao’s concern and understood that these extra preparations were meant to ensure there was something to his liking.
Si An wasn’t angry. He simply raised his eyes to meet Long Xiao’s gaze and asked,
Which one did you make?
The Omega sat there, his collar too wide, revealing his collarbones. Leaning on one hand, his shoulder tilted slightly, strands of pale gold hair nestled lazily in the hollow of his neck, like a coiled serpent taking a nap.
Long Xiao averted his gaze, opened the congee he had made, placed it before Si An, and handed him a spoon.
Be careful, it’s hot.
Considering yesterday’s morning rush, Long Xiao had purchased a high-quality insulated container from the System Mall. The congee was still steaming hot, as if freshly poured from the pot, the steam clouding Si An’s entire face.
Long Xiao thoughtfully placed the red date soy milk on Si An’s right.
Si An glanced at the breakfast before him, his eyelids lowering slightly, giving him a hint of tenderness from Long Xiao’s perspective.
You should eat too, Si An said to Long Xiao, referring to the pile of breakfast items Long Xiao had bought.
Technically, Special Assistant Chen had purchased them, but Long Xiao had paid.
Long Xiao wasn’t surprised that Si An could tell he hadn’t eaten breakfast. He had planned to share it with Si An all along.
Given the chance to enjoy a lovely breakfast with his beloved Omega, he wasn’t a fool to let it slip away.
Without further ado, Long Xiao grabbed a pair of chopsticks, arranged the breakfast dishes, and sat down to Si An’s left.
He had already observed over the past few days that Omegas always ate quietly.
Yet even when faced with the bland, ordinary breakfast he had prepared, Si An’s expression remained unchanged.
Just as during their previous dinners together, Si An’s features softened as he gently spooned the porridge into his mouth, one bite at a time.
At first, Long Xiao was startled, prompting him to stare at Si An for a moment longer until the Omega returned his gaze.
But as his initial nervousness faded, a secret joy mingled with a pang of tenderness.
Stop eating, Long Xiao said slowly, setting down his chopsticks and turning to look at Si An. It’s not good.
The Omega’s nose was straight and elegant, neither too high nor too low, its delicate features contrasting with Long Xiao’s more rugged profile.
A small, light brown mole nestled at the corner of Si An’s right eye, so faint it hid in the shadow of his lashes, making one want to lick it.
Si An heard Long Xiao’s words, but he didn’t listen.
His hands didn’t pause as he met the Alpha’s gaze, replying calmly, I asked you to make it.
With that, he lowered his eyes to the bowl of porridge, scooped up a spoonful, and brought it to his mouth.
He had asked Long Xiao to make it, so it was his.
Si An had never held high expectations for Long Xiao’s culinary skills.
The Omega ate slowly, chewing each bite thoroughly and cleanly.
The usually aloof man seemed to soften while eating, resembling a well-behaved student sitting in the cafeteria during his school days.
Watching Si An’s movements, Long Xiao felt a pang of regret.
He couldn’t stop Si An, because ultimately, it was just a bowl of porridge.
It wasn’t particularly delicious, but it wasn’t inedible either.
It was non-toxic, free of harmful substances, and personally prepared by him.
Yet even for just a bowl of porridge, Long Xiao felt a pang of regret.
Why don’t I have any culinary talent?
The Alpha’s thoughts inevitably surfaced in his gaze.
His noble golden eyes darkened slightly as his gaze settled heavily on Si An’s face.
Next time, don’t let me cook for you.
I can’t bear it.
The deep voice, delivered in a measured tone, slowly descended.
A bit cheesy.
Si An’s hand, holding the porcelain spoon, paused. That familiar sensation washed over him again.
Goosebumps spread from the back of his neck, and his internal organs trembled faintly.
This forced the Omega to set down his spoon, abandoning his meal.
Those clear, icy-blue eyes peered through the steam, tinged with disdain.
Don’t say such things. Shut up.
