- Chapter 27 - Baby, I Don't Know What to Name You
Despite being teased, Long Xiao’s brow still carried a smile, his mood buoyant.
Within fifteen minutes, the Omega had finished his porridge and soy milk, only then reaching for the other dishes with his chopsticks.
Si An’s appetite was moderate a full bowl of porridge had already left him nearly satisfied. He took a single bite of each breakfast item, except for the shrimp dumplings, of which he ate two more.
Long Xiao observed this, silently noting it in his mind.
He then proceeded to devour the remaining breakfast items himself.
It didn’t matter that his Omega couldn’t finish them Long Xiao’s hearty appetite ensured nothing would go to waste.
By the end, Si An had set down his chopsticks, quietly watching Long Xiao eat.
Long Xiao showed no embarrassment under Si An’s gaze. His Omega already knew how much he could eat.
Chewing steadily, he met Si An’s eyes and smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners.
It should have been a handsome smile, but with his cheeks puffed out, he looked rather adorable.
Si An silently turned away, muttering under his breath, Eat faster.
Long Xiao remained unfazed, knowing Si An wasn’t truly urging him to hurry, just feeling shy. He continued chewing steadily.
Si An sat beside Long Xiao, scrolling through his phone, a pleasant fragrance emanating from him.
After breakfast, Long Xiao, without being prompted, cleared the table, neatly stacking the dishes and storing them in his space ring.
Before leaving, Long Xiao reminded Si An, The yellow roses will be delivered later. It was too early for the florist to have them ready earlier.
Do you want to nap? If so, I’ll have them delivered tonight instead.
As Long Xiao spoke, he bent down to put on his shoes by the door. Si An stood a few steps away, arms crossed, watching him.
Hearing Long Xiao’s words, Si An’s gaze shifted to Long Xiao’s face. He replied, Deliver them yourself tonight.
His tone was flat, almost commanding, but to Long Xiao, it sounded like a reward.
Long Xiao looked up, met Si An’s eyes, straightened up, and asked, Would you like to have dinner together tonight?
Faced with the Alpha’s renewed dinner invitation, Si An shook his head. I want to rest properly these next few days. I don’t plan on going out.
Long Xiao nodded understandingly. Alright then. I’ll bring the roses over at eight tonight.
Seeing Long Xiao’s ready agreement and his gentlemanly demeanor, Si An stared at him silently for a moment, his gaze unwavering.
Seeing Si An’s demeanor, Long Xiao waited quietly, guessing the Omega might have more to say.
He stood in the entryway, most of his body shrouded in shadow. His sharply defined features were obscured, his deep-set eyes accentuated, and his golden irises seemed to glow. Thick lashes drooped, lending him a deeply affectionate air.
…Your coat, Si An finally said after a dozen seconds of silence.
Long Xiao was somewhat confused by this. He had already given Si An the pheromone pendant logically, Si An shouldn’t need his coat anymore.
Seeing the Alpha standing there without reacting, Si An’s expression turned cold. The coat you lent me last time. I’m returning it now.
With that, Si An turned and walked toward the bedroom, leaving Long Xiao standing there, utterly bewildered.
Si An returned quickly, holding the black suit jacket, which he handed to Long Xiao.
Long Xiao glanced down at it, unconcerned, and casually draped it over his forearm.
Opening the door, he turned back for one last look and said with genuine concern, Rest well, Si An.
The door closed softly behind him.
Si An pressed his lips together, walked back to the bedroom, and slipped back under the covers.
Ding, Host, at this rate, you’ll be chasing him until the year of the monkey and the month of the horse!
I have a perfectly good favorability system here, but you insist on doing things the hard way.
Don’t come crying to me after chasing him for half a year only to find out he doesn’t like you at all.
The System, usually so quiet, suddenly reappeared.
Long Xiao had already returned home. Cooking class was over, Si An was resting, and he had reverted to his usual unemployed drifter lifestyle.
In an enormous pool, a shrunken Silver Dragon lay submerged.
Long Xiao resembled a Western Dragon, with two pairs of powerful, beautiful wings, a pair of menacing horns, a majestic dragon head, a robust body, and scales that shimmered like flowing mithril.
At that moment, Long Xiao was taking a bath.
As a clean-loving dragon, he transformed into his true form once a month for a thorough soak.
Of course, he bathed daily in his human form, but this was different—psychologically different.
Long Xiao had been nestled in the pool, so comfortable he was nearly asleep, when the System’s words suddenly broke through his reverie.
He silently opened his eyes, his golden, beastly gaze brimming with mockery.
If he doesn’t like me, does he like you instead?
I won’t get rejected. I have a good feeling about this.
Before the System could respond, Long Xiao continued, Shut up. Say another word and I’ll report you.
Long Xiao had discovered this feature on the System panel during a rare moment of downtime.
As expected, the System immediately fell silent, not daring to utter another word.
Long Xiao admired his shimmering scales, finding them utterly captivating. Eventually, convinced they were too beautiful to keep to himself, he tapped his phone with a claw, intending to take a picture for Si An.
If the Omega saw my true form, he’d never find fault with me again.
I’m renowned throughout the Dragon Clan for my striking looks. Even as a child, everyone would come to admire me.
Unfortunately, even though Long Xiao had shrunk his physical size, his strength remained unchanged.
The moment his claw touched the phone, before the screen could even light up, the device shattered into pieces.
Long Xiao stared in shock at the phone, now reduced to a pile of dust and electronic components. His eyes widened slightly, and his dragon mouth gaped open a little further.
Huh? Wait, what? It just broke?!
