My Jealous and Beautiful Villainous Wife (ABO) - Chapter 30
Si An arrived swiftly, almost simultaneously with the traffic police.
The Omega hadn’t even had time to change. He had hastily thrown on a light blue jacket, a casual, homey style.
Fortunately, Si An’s everyday attire at home was still high-end. His beige pajama pants looked like casual trousers at a glance, softening his demeanor without revealing their true nature.
Si An stepped out of the car with brisk, decisive movements, his icy blue eyes scanning the crowd for Long Xiao’s figure.
The scene was chaotic. The accident had occurred at a traffic light intersection, where vehicles were jammed together. Traffic police were already questioning witnesses nearby.
Despite the crowd, Long Xiao was easy to spot. Towering over everyone like a crane among chickens, he stood a full head taller than the surrounding people.
Si An’s gaze immediately locked onto that silver-haired figure. Ignoring the surrounding crowd, he strode purposefully toward him.
Long Xiao appeared remarkably unscathed. Despite the accident, only the hem of his clothes was slightly torn, the ragged edges giving his outfit a fashionable, edgy look.
Long Xiao had already spotted Si An. Even before his eyes registered the sight, his sense of smell had picked up the faint, agitated scent of roses.
The Alpha abruptly stopped mid-sentence, his gaze fixed on the Omega walking toward him.
The traffic officer, puzzled by the sudden silence, glanced in the direction of Long Xiao’s stare before turning back dismissively. Continue, he said. Even if family arrives, we still need to take a statement.
Young people these days, he thought. So dramatic just because their spouse showed up?
Long Xiao pressed his lips together, refraining from arguing, confident Si An hadn’t heard.
In the time it took for those two sentences to be spoken, Si An had already reached them. He frowned, his eyes scanning Long Xiao from head to toe, checking for any injuries.
…That’s all, officer, Long Xiao finished quickly, turning to face Si An. His Adam’s apple bobbed. Thank you for coming, Si An.
Si An met the Alpha’s gaze. Under the bright sun, Long Xiao’s silver hair and golden eyes shone with a noble, dazzling brilliance.
The Omega paused, then finally opened his mouth, saying simply, I’m glad you’re not hurt.
As he spoke, Si An glanced at the traffic police officer walking toward the other side of the road and turned to Long Xiao. Are you finished here? Can we leave now?
Long Xiao nodded. Yes, I’ve left your contact information.
Si An nodded casually, waving his hand lightly at Long Xiao as if summoning a beloved puppy. Then let’s go. I’ll take you to buy a phone first.
As the Omega turned to leave, the Alpha silently followed.
The Alpha’s towering figure trailed closely behind the Omega, who was half his size, like a guardian spirit watching over him.
Passersby instinctively gave the pair a wide berth. Both the car and the men exuded an aura of wealth, so people kept their distance, only watching with curious and eager eyes.
But Si An and Long Xiao were long accustomed to such attention and carried themselves with effortless composure.
Si An got into the car first, having rushed out in a hurry and simply taken the nearest vehicle—coincidentally the same blue supercar Long Xiao had seen before.
Long Xiao entered the other side. The engine roared to life, and the car sped off.
Long Xiao glanced sideways at Si An’s serene profile.
The Omega’s pheromones had calmed, returning to their usual cool, faint fragrance, giving off an air of aloofness.
Noticing Long Xiao’s gaze, Si An’s eyelids fluttered slightly as he silently withdrew his pheromones.
The rose scent tinged with icy liquor faded from the car. Long Xiao spoke,
Thank you, Si An.
The car window was only cracked open a sliver, and due to speed limits, they weren’t driving particularly fast.
A gentle breeze stirred the Omega’s beautiful pale golden hair, causing it to shimmer like morning light fallen from the heavens.
Long Xiao’s pupils involuntarily contracted as he chased the dancing strands of gold with his eyes.
But the Omega’s voice quickly drew his attention back. Si An said flatly,
You don’t need to thank me.
How did your phone break?
Still as direct and sharp as ever, his clear, crisp voice remained utterly neutral. As someone accustomed to being in a position of authority, Si An had long mastered this impassive manner of speaking.
Long Xiao continued to gaze at Si An’s profile, his eyes fixed on the small mole at the corner of his eye. He spoke in a low, husky voice,
I broke it when I touched it.
My original form is too strong. I wanted to show you my scales, but the phone shattered.
The Alpha’s explanation was unexpected, yet upon reflection, it made perfect sense.
It was exactly the kind of thing Long Xiao would do.
Hearing this, Si An’s lips twitched slightly. He found it both amusing and infuriating.
All this worry and frantic rushing had been for this reason.
Hah.
Si An couldn’t help but laugh at himself in exasperation.
But after the laughter faded, as he gazed at the Alpha staring at him as if wanting to kiss him, Si An finally said,
As long as you’re okay.
The Omega glanced sideways at Long Xiao, his expression softening as he spoke softly.
For some reason, Si An was particularly captivating in that moment.
Long Xiao’s heart skipped two more beats. He averted his gaze, focusing on the road ahead.
This is wonderful. He truly did like Si An. His heart would race just because of him.
Si An moved quickly, arriving at the phone store in no time. Long Xiao, unsure of what to do, simply followed behind like a good boy.
The Omega selected a phone and handed it to the Alpha, tilting his chin to signal Long Xiao to swipe his card.
Long Xiao lowered his gaze as he accepted the phone. The black device in his hand was the same model as Si An’s.
The Alpha’s eyes curved slightly upward as he took the phone and obediently went to pay.
Instead of restoring his old number, Long Xiao bought a new one.
The moment he successfully logged into Green Bubble, he immediately contacted Special Assistant Chen.
Long Xiao Special Assistant Chen, please restore my previous phone number. The SIM card broke.
Special Assistant Chen replied promptly, without any unnecessary words.
Special Assistant Chen Understood, President Long.
After closing the chat window, Long Xiao was confronted with a screen overflowing with countless red notification dots.
Staring at the rows of unread messages, he froze in shock.
What does this mean? Was I reported missing?
