My Omega Ex-Wife Is Acting a Little Strange - Chapter 8
Chapter 8
“What happened?” The old man quickly switched his legs and hurried to the classroom after Shen Shuyu, only to see three girls sitting on the dusty ground.
The old man, already an adult Alpha, keenly caught the intense Omega pheromone scent permeating the air, and surprise flashed across his face: “Did someone differentiate?”
“This classmate had already differentiated before I entered the door.” Yu Mo answered.
Only then did the old man remember something; he slapped his forehead: “I felt like I forgot something. This morning she came to my office to get desks and chairs, and she never came out.”
Yu Mo gave the old man a helpless look; she set aside the words of reproach for now—the most urgent thing was this girl who had truly just differentiated into an Omega.
“Like this: I’ll first soothe her emotions and check if she has inhibitors on her. Teacher, you’re an Alpha, so it might not be suitable for you to stay here. You go call the school infirmary first and have them rush over here.” Yu Mo arranged clearly to the old man.
“Okay, just as you say. Young student, you stay here and help her; I’ll go make the call.” The old man left Shen Shuyu here to help and hurried toward the office.
Yu Mo stood up directly; although the old man had left Shen Shuyu here to help, Yu Mo had no intention of including Shen Shuyu in her plans at all. Shen Shuyu had always been proud; something like this that was laborious and unrewarding while having to wait on someone—she probably wouldn’t agree to it.
Shen Shuyu watched Yu Mo’s back, still hesitating whether to go up and join Yu Mo, when she heard an “ah” —a low pained groan from Yu Mo.
The girl, whose safe space had just been intruded by Yu Mo, lunged at Yu Mo again and bit down anew on the ferocious wound on her forearm. Yu Mo cried out, unable to endure the pain.
Shen Shuyu’s heart clenched at the sound; her own forearm seemed to ache in sympathy, and she looked at Yu Mo’s back, asking expectantly yet cautiously: “Yu Mo, do you need my help?”
As long as you say you need it, I’ll go forward right away to help you.
This time the girl used even more force with her mouth; cold sweat had already beaded on Yu Mo’s forehead. Even so, she still coldly tossed two words at Shen Shuyu: “No need.”
Shen Shuyu’s heart sank with a thud; a lost, sour ache flooded her chest.
Why, even in such a difficult situation, was she unwilling to let her help?
Yu Mo endured the pain strongly and reached with one hand for the girl’s bulging pocket. Her arm was bitten tightly by the girl, so her other hand couldn’t reach at all. Just then, Shen Shuyu squatted down beside her, bringing a gust of cool wind.
Shen Shuyu looked at Yu Mo’s eyes that deliberately avoided her own and said to her with firm eyes: “You need mine.”
Another stranger had intruded into the girl’s safe space; her emotions fluctuated even more, and she stretched out one arm to scratch at Shen Shuyu. Shen Shuyu, unlike Yu Mo’s careful caution, directly pressed down with one hand on the arm the girl was swinging at her. In that instant, her other hand deftly slipped into the girl’s pocket.
“It’s the inhibitor.” Shen Shuyu looked at the two small syringe vials in her hand, skillfully tore open the packaging to expose the needle, expelled the air while instructing Yu Mo: “Expose her gland.”
This voice was cool and focused; Yu Mo was momentarily dazed and subconsciously obeyed Shen Shuyu’s words, parting the hair blocking the girl’s neck. The liquid secreted by the gland stuck to the hair, sticky and thick, extremely disheveled.
Shen Shuyu’s brows furrowed slightly at this thick secretion, but she didn’t hesitate and extended her finger to press beside the girl’s gland. The needle was swiftly inserted by Shen Shuyu into the fragile gland that had just formed from differentiation; the pure white liquid was pushed bit by bit into her body.
Yu Mo could clearly feel the teeth clenching her arm gradually relax, and the abnormally racing heartbeat also calmed down.
Once the injection was complete, Shen Shuyu deftly withdrew the needle, removed the needle head, and put it back in the packaging bag—a set of actions flowing smoothly. Then Shen Shuyu took out a tissue from her pocket with her clean hand, shook out one sheet, and calmly wiped the fingers wet with the gland’s secreted liquid.
Shen Shuyu’s slender, pale fingers parted slightly; on her jade-like, icy skin, the sticky liquid slowly pulled into a few strands of silver threads hanging between her finger gaps.
Decadent and alluring.
Yu Mo stared at Shen Shuyu’s fingers, her throat going dry. This scene was too familiar; in the memories of every indulgent night, it fit without any sense of discord.
Then Yu Mo’s brows furrowed tightly—what was she thinking?
Yu Mo felt she must absolutely have been affected by this girl who had just differentiated into an Omega’s pheromones to recall such obscure things; she quickly lowered her head and coughed lightly: “Cough.”
Although the girl’s emotions had stabilized, because she had just differentiated and the large amount of pheromones in her gland hadn’t completely dissipated but were still releasing without restraint, the air still permeated with a cloyingly sweet gardenia scent. A gust of clear wind poured into the room from the wide-open door, filling the space with floral fragrance.
The early spring wind, cool and carrying the flower scent, still had a biting chill that made Yu Mo shiver involuntarily. She lowered her head to look at this fragile girl in her arms who had just gone through her heat period. The black-green checkered pleated skirt barely covered half her thigh, and a pair of milky-white, soft little legs were nakedly exposed outside.
Yu Mo felt she needed to calm down a bit and took off her school uniform jacket to wrap around the girl’s lower body; on herself, only a close-fitting white shirt remained.
The wind carried the clouds in the sky; the sun that had just been obscured emerged again, gradually approaching noon, its fierce, glaring light slanting into the classroom and shining on Yu Mo’s body full of youthful vigor. The school’s custom-fitted white shirt outlined Yu Mo’s superior figure; her back was straight, curves smooth, and the faintly visible dimples in her waist were deep and captivating.
The girl sunk into sleep in Yu Mo’s arms shuddered a few times as if in a nightmare; Yu Mo patiently lowered her head and said softly: “It’s okay, it’s okay.”
This voice was low and gentle, magnetic. A current ran through Shen Shuyu’s ears, just like in the past countless indulgent nights after, when Yu Mo soothed her by her ear.
The girl was soothed by this voice and settled much more steadily in Yu Mo’s arms. Yu Mo let out a light breath of relief, raised her hand to brush away the messy hair in front of her face, and Shen Shuyu followed her hand to let her gaze fall on her face.
Yu Mo wasn’t a standard beauty; under thick brows was a pair of sharp eyes, not exactly gentle; the high ponytail paired with her slightly humped high nose bridge added more of an untouchable wildness. But her bone structure was truly better than anyone Shen Shuyu had seen in this school; once she differentiated, it would be like a fiery red poppy blooming furiously—just one glance enough to make it unforgettable.
But at this time when she hadn’t differentiated yet, Yu Mo’s bare face with its wild twist made her somewhat intimidating to approach.
Shen Shuyu had never paid attention to the youthful Yu Mo like she did today.
Compared to the thin few adjectives in her memory, the Yu Mo at this moment was even more attractive, not something any single label or group in Shen Shuyu’s heart could sum up.
This was the first time Shen Shuyu discovered that her little fish was so attractive like this.
Another gust of wind blew into the room; Yu Mo was really dressed too thinly and couldn’t help but sneeze: “Achoo.”
Shen Shuyu looked at Yu Mo’s thin body, lightly pursed her own lips, hesitated, then took off her school uniform jacket, carrying her usual coolness, and extended it toward Yu Mo with one hand: “Wear mine.”
Yu Mo was unwilling to have any contact with Shen Shuyu, let alone something intimate like wearing her clothes, and coldly replied: “No need.”
Shen Shuyu already didn’t know how many times this was today that Yu Mo had rejected her; the heart that should have gone numb still couldn’t help but feel loss, and she looked at Yu Mo’s body always turned away from her, feeling powerless for the first time.
Why did she reject her overtures so coldly every time, even slapping away her hand because of her concern for her? Shen Shuyu’s hand gripping the uniform jacket tightened involuntarily; stubbornly, she walked forward and draped it over Yu Mo’s body.
“You’ll catch a cold.”
Yu Mo’s shoulders felt a burst of warmth, but she had no interest at all in the warmth Shen Shuyu had proactively brought her; she shrugged her shoulders, neatly shaking off the jacket Shen Shuyu had just draped on her back. “Thanks, class monitor, I don’t need it.”
Shen Shuyu watched wide-eyed as her deep blue Western-style uniform jacket was shaken off by Yu Mo onto the dusty ground, the exquisite white piping stained with dust. Her goodwill was thus disdainfully discarded by someone. From childhood to now, because the Shen family had given Shen Shuyu a status far exceeding her peers, she had never been so disregarded by anyone.
Shen Shuyu’s pupils trembled slightly; this fallen jacket was like an invisible slap from Yu Mo to her, striking her face with futile efforts and shattering her pride.
“Do you hate me?” Shen Shuyu’s slender body half-squatted, embarrassed as she picked up her jacket from the ground.
She really couldn’t understand why Yu Mo treated her like this.
Yu Mo’s lips tugged lightly, revealing a sly, innocent yet teasing and mocking smile. “Yes.”
