My Online Lover Lives Next Door (GL) - Chapter 60
When He Qing and Jian Fanxing decided to go to Dun City in Country Y to get their marriage certificate, He Jun suggested they also take their wedding photos there. He even recommended that He Qing book the wedding venue while they were there.
He Qing agreed to everything. A week later, she and Jian Fanxing boarded a plane to Dun City.
By the time they landed, night was about to fall.
He Qing was used to traveling frequently and had been to Dun City several times. So, she directly booked the hotel she usually stayed at.
The hotel arranged a car to pick them up from the airport. An hour after landing, they were already checking into their room.
Jian Fanxing was full of energy. As the car drove through the bustling city, her eyes sparkled as she eagerly took in the surroundings. Her curiosity was practically written all over her face.
Now that they were in the hotel room, Jian Fanxing stood by the large floor-to-ceiling window, looking down. The people and cars on the streets below looked as small as ants. Seeing the city from such a high place was a unique experience.
She wasn’t afraid of heights, and since there was no building of the same height directly across from their room, it gave her a feeling of standing at the very top of the world.
No buildings of the same height also meant that no one could see into their room, no matter what they were doing—even if the curtains weren’t drawn.
The moment this thought popped into her head, Jian Fanxing’s heartbeat sped up uncontrollably.
She was actually thinking about doing something intimate with He Qing in front of the window.
After unpacking their luggage, He Qing walked over to Jian Fanxing.
Seeing her staring out the window deep in thought, He Qing asked, “Little Star, do you like Dun City’s night view?”
Night view? Jian Fanxing snapped out of her thoughts. She looked at the bright city lights outside and realized He Qing had misunderstood. But how could she possibly tell He Qing what she had really been thinking about? So, she simply nodded.
“Actually, the night here isn’t much different from our country’s,” Jian Fanxing said.
Under the same night sky, people were working hard for their futures, all striving toward the same goals.
He Qing nodded in agreement and asked, “Do you want to go for a walk?”
She thought Jian Fanxing was fascinated by the night market and wanted to see more.
Jian Fanxing nodded at first, then shook her head. Before He Qing could ask, she answered herself, “We were on the plane for so long today. I’m too tired. Let’s rest first and go tomorrow night.”
He Qing had no objections and went along with Jian Fanxing’s wishes.
“Then you take a shower first. I’ll get your pajamas,” He Qing said, turning to fetch her clothes. But just as she turned around, Jian Fanxing suddenly hugged her from behind.
Jian Fanxing wasn’t sure where she found the courage, but she pressed her face against He Qing’s back and whispered just loud enough for He Qing to hear, “Sister… let’s shower together.”
She had noticed the large bathtub in the bathroom when they arrived. It was big enough for two.
The thought had already been tempting her, and as soon as He Qing mentioned a shower, her mind was filled with certain images she couldn’t suppress.
Anyway, they were about to get married. Thinking of that made Jian Fanxing even bolder.
Shower together? He Qing had considered it before, but since Jian Fanxing was always shy about intimate moments, He Qing had never pushed the idea. She never expected Jian Fanxing to bring it up herself.
He Qing turned around and wrapped her arms around Jian Fanxing, looking down at her with a gaze full of heat. Her voice, now slightly husky, asked, “Little Star, do you know what you’re saying?”
Her dark eyes were already tinted with desire, yet she was still holding back, fully considering Jian Fanxing’s feelings.
Jian Fanxing’s face was already burning red. Her first instinct was to lower her head, but she forced herself not to.
She always looked away in moments like this, as if afraid of meeting He Qing’s intense gaze. But tonight, she wanted to see clearly.
And she did. She reached out and gently touched He Qing’s cool face. Even though He Qing always seemed cold, at this moment, Jian Fanxing could feel the heat burning inside her.
“Sister, I heard from my friends that before getting married, they have a ‘bachelorette party’ to say goodbye to their single lives. I think we need one too,” Jian Fanxing said seriously.
Other people had bachelorette parties. But for them… was this a “bachelorette night”? Jian Fanxing quickly pushed that last word out of her mind.
“Sister, I just… I just want to,” she admitted honestly.
This was the first time He Qing had seen Jian Fanxing being so straightforward. She couldn’t help but be mesmerized.
Without saying anything more, He Qing parted her lips slightly and said, “Alright.”
“I’ll take you to shower.”
With that, she lifted Jian Fanxing into her arms and carried her straight to the bathroom.
(What happens next is up to your imagination.)
—–
The consequences of indulgence? Jian Fanxing understood them perfectly when she woke up.
Her body ached all over, and she felt sore in places she had never imagined. Everything was a clear reminder of just how intense their bachelorette night had been.
If she didn’t have to go register their marriage today, she would have definitely stayed in bed the whole day.
Hearing Jian Fanxing’s soft groan, He Qing walked out of the bathroom, already dressed neatly and applying her makeup.
Jian Fanxing looked at the crisp white shirt He Qing was wearing. Her name was embroidered on the collar.
Jian Fanxing pursed her lips and couldn’t help but smile sweetly.
“Sister, when did you wake up? Why didn’t you wake me?”
Jian Fanxing’s soft voice reached He Qing’s ears, instantly reminding her of last night. Back then, Jian Fanxing had also gathered her courage and called her wife in that same sweet, delicate voice.
That one word, wife, had snapped the last thread of restraint in He Qing’s mind. She loved hearing it, and her actions had become even more intense.
Noticing the change in He Qing’s gaze, both of them thought about last night’s passion at the same time. Jian Fanxing blushed as red as an apple, while He Qing quickly looked away.
“You were too tired last night. I wanted you to rest a little longer,” He Qing answered Jian Fanxing’s earlier question before heading back to the bathroom.
Jian Fanxing’s face turned bright red. She struggled to get out of bed, determined not to appear weak. To her, being too tired meant being too weak—almost like scoring zero. And she refused to be a zero.
By the time Jian Fanxing finished getting ready and changed into a matching shirt with He Qing—except hers had He Qing’s name embroidered on the collar—He Qing had already been waiting in the room for an hour. She sat calmly in a chair, reading a newspaper in one hand while sipping coffee, showing no signs of impatience.
Feeling He Qing’s gaze on her, Jian Fanxing looked up and met her eyes.
“Are you ready?” He Qing asked gently, her cool voice unusually soft.
“Yes.” Jian Fanxing nodded firmly.
He Qing set down the newspaper and coffee cup, stood up, and walked over to her.
Fingers intertwined, hands tightly clasped, He Qing held Jian Fanxing’s hand. “Let’s go.”
The marriage registration process was nearly the same as back home—except here, their marriage was legal.
Holding two marriage certificates in her hands, Jian Fanxing walked out of the Y Country Civil Affairs Bureau, still lost in a daze of happiness.
Everything felt so unreal.
She turned to look at He Qing beside her, speaking in a dazed voice, “Sister… we really… got married?”
A smile tugged at He Qing’s lips as she softly replied, “Yes, it’s official.”
Jian Fanxing nodded in trust, then hesitated before asking, “Then… do I need to change how I call you now?”
He Qing raised an eyebrow, already guessing what Jian Fanxing wanted to say, but she still wanted to hear it from her directly. “What do you want to call me, Little Star?”
What should she call her? Obviously… “wife.”
The word was on the tip of Jian Fanxing’s tongue, but when she met He Qing’s expectant gaze, she suddenly shut her mouth.
He Qing waited for a while, but when she didn’t get the answer she wanted, she called out, “Little Star?”
Jian Fanxing hesitated, then said, “Sister, if we’re changing titles, shouldn’t you go first?”
“You keep calling me ‘Little Star’ all the time—it makes me sound so small.” Jian Fanxing actually liked the nickname, but she had long held a grudge against it.
Now that she finally had the chance to change it, she wasn’t going to let He Qing go first.
He Qing hadn’t expected Jian Fanxing to turn the tables on her. With a soft chuckle, a breathtaking smile bloomed on her face. “Wife.”
Hearing He Qing call her that, the word drilled into Jian Fanxing’s ears, sending a tingling sensation through her whole body. Her skin broke out in goosebumps, and her heart trembled.
It sounded so good.
Jian Fanxing never knew that being called “wife” by He Qing could sound this amazing.
Recalling how He Qing had coaxed her into calling her “wife” multiple times last night, Jian Fanxing suddenly asked, “Sister, whose voice do you think sounds better when saying ‘wife’—yours or mine?”
“I think yours sounds better, of course. Your voice is much sweeter than mine.” Jian Fanxing was a little excited. She made up her mind—tonight, she would make He Qing call her “wife” again and again until she was bubbling over with happiness.
Since He Qing had already called her “wife,” Jian Fanxing wasn’t going to back down either. Her bright eyes locked onto He Qing’s as she said in a voice as sweet as honey, “Wife.”
He Qing smiled and responded without hesitation. Then, wrapping an arm around Jian Fanxing’s waist, she pulled her into an embrace. Her lips brushed against Jian Fanxing’s ear as she whispered, “Wife, let’s go back to the hotel… so you can keep calling me that.”
Of course, going back to the hotel wouldn’t just be about calling “wife.”
As a professional photographer, Jian Fanxing carefully chose the perfect background and the best angle to capture the first and only picture of their marriage certificates.
Then, she added a caption and posted it on her social media:
“I’m married!”
