My Roommate Is a Dirty Talker (GL) - Chapter 17
Â
As if she could hear, Shen Weixiao’s eyelashes fluttered, slowly, like gentle taps against Shi Xuan’s heart. Shi Xuan couldn’t resist leaning closer, pressing a soft kiss against the cheek of the prey in her arms.
Â
If only one day, you could love me the way I love you.
Â
In her sleep, Shen Weixiao was feeling the damp chill of a rainy day in her dream. Suddenly, a warm drop landed near her ear, carrying a faint, lingering fragrance that stirred something deep within her heart.
Â
Slowly closing her eyes, her limbs gradually stretched out.
Â
As Shi Xuan drifted off, she felt Shen Weixiao’s arm drape around her neck and her long, pale legs twist around her. Her face paled instantly, her entire body trembling. She tried to pull away, but Shen Weixiao only tightened her grip.
Â
Hey, Xiao… The blanket had slipped down slightly. Shi Xuan tried to create some distance between them, but her efforts were futile.
Â
After a tense standoff, Shi Xuan began to feel weary. She finally relented, letting her body slump against Shen Weixiao’s. The girl’s unique fragrance captivated her, and Shi Xuan rested her chin on Shen Weixiao’s forehead. After a moment’s hesitation, she wrapped her arm around her prey and pulled her closer.
Â
You came to me willingly. I’m not taking advantage, Shi Xuan reassured herself, drifting off to sleep with a faint smile. The night had been slightly agonizing, and none of the three seemed to have slept well, all looking utterly exhausted.
Â
Mu Xinran took Deng Ya out for breakfast, while Shen Weixiao changed and followed Shi Xuan to North Courtyard Lane in search of food. However, Shen Weixiao’s initial excitement quickly waned due to Shi Xuan’s aloof demeanor, leaving her with little appetite.
Â
By afternoon, the two were sitting in a barbecue restaurant. Shi Xuan stirred the pumpkin porridge in her bowl into various shapes. Gathering her courage, Shen Weixiao finally asked the question that had been weighing on her all day Sister Xuan, why are you so unhappy today?
Â
I’m not, Shi Xuan replied, still stirring her porridge. When the waiter brought over the ordered meat, she quickly freed her hand to place it beside them, politely thanked the waiter, and then turned back to Shen Weixiao, changing the subject by asking which dish she wanted to try first.
Â
Shen Weixiao pouted, unwilling to give up. You’ve been distracted all day. Did I keep you up last night?
Â
She only remembered dreaming all night. In her dream, the giant panda plushie on her dorm bed suddenly came to life, and she dragged it through a sea of flowers, dancing endlessly.
Â
She couldn’t recall anything else.
Â
You really don’t remember? Shi Xuan repeated flatly, her slender fingers deftly flipping the meat skewers on the grill with tongs and scissors.
Â
Shi Xuan’s reaction only deepened Shen Weixiao’s unease. She began to wonder if she had snored or talked in her sleep.
Â
But even after they finished eating, Shi Xuan showed no sign of explaining.
Â
By the time they squeezed onto the subway around six, it was rush hour. Shen Weixiao was nearly pressed against the wall by a portly man in a khaki coat. Shi Xuan couldn’t bear to watch any longer and pulled her back, trying to make space for her behind her. Caught off guard, Shen Weixiao stumbled forward, her arm raised, and landed squarely in Shi Xuan’s arms.
Â
Holy sh1t… The passengers watching the scene widened their eyes at Shen Weixiao’s exaggerated expression. Shi Xuan’s face flushed crimson from her ears to a deep purple as she quickly turned and fled off the bus in a panic.
Â
You… I… Sister Xuan… wait for me!
Â
Shen Weixiao chased after her, flailing her arms wildly. When she finally caught up, she saw Shi Xuan’s face was dark with mortification.
Â
I didn’t mean to, Shen Weixiao said, feeling utterly wronged. She hadn’t intended to accidentally touch Shi Xuan there, though it didn’t seem large, the sensation had been… amazing.
Â
Snapping herself back to reality amidst the surging crowd, she thought she heard Shi Xuan mutter as she turned away, So you didn’t mean to last night either?
Â
What? What happened last night? Shen Weixiao’s heart plummeted to the ground. Did I… did I sexually harass the goddess last night?! After a moment’s reflection, she realized the term wasn’t quite accurate. But when she looked up, the goddess had vanished.
