Lin Ruoyan felt like she was being grilled over a fire, consumed by a scorching anxiety from the inside out. She could no longer process how Xu Jingyi, who was supposed to have slept separately last night, was now in her arms.

The other woman’s slightly parted lips seemed to be a honeyed invitation to kiss. She lowered her gaze to them, her breath growing hot and her throat constantly swallowing in a futile effort to suppress her desire. In the end, she couldn’t hold back and leaned in for a kiss.

The soft lips were as wonderful as she had imagined. The moment their lips met, she felt a wave of dizziness. Her mind went blank, her entire focus drawn to their joined mouths. Softness met softness. Lin Ruoyan was afraid to be too forward, as if she might offend her. She hadn’t thought about the consequences as she cautiously touched her lips to Xu Jingyi’s. She was only savoring the feeling of weightlessness that came with the touch. It was as if she were floating in the air, a feeling that left her unsure of what to do next. She was content just to stay like this, with their lips touching.

Xu Jingyi was surprised, and the kiss instantly jolted her awake, but she was quickly captured by the sensation of the kiss itself. Unlike Lin Ruoyan, she wasn’t clueless. The soft touch didn’t satisfy her; it ignited a deeper desire. However, a sliver of rationality remained, reminding her not to be the aggressor. Even though her heart was growing restless, she could only stay still and wait for Lin Ruoyan’s next move.

But she waited for a long time. Lin Ruoyan was like a piece of wood, showing no intention of continuing. Xu Jingyi’s heart was itching, and she let out a silent sigh. Whatever. I’ll just satisfy myself. I’ll let her kiss me today. It’s hard for me to hold back when I’ve been teasing her so much. She wasn’t an ascetic; she didn’t have the self-control to sit untouched in the face of temptation.

She pretended to be surprised, placing her hands on Lin Ruoyan’s chest and looking at her with wide eyes. “Ah… Ruoyan, what are you doing?” she said, gasping softly as if she were shocked.

That sigh was all Lin Ruoyan needed. The way her lips parted and closed as she spoke was even more tempting. She naturally ignored the rest of the words. In a single breath, her hand moved to the back of Xu Jingyi’s head, pressing her down firmly.

“Mmm… ah…” Lin Ruoyan kissed her without a word. Although it was expected, her forceful action made Xu Jingyi gasp. And with that gasp, she parted her lips and gave Lin Ruoyan full access.

On the surface, it seemed like Lin Ruoyan was the one in control, but it was all Xu Jingyi’s deliberate teasing, one step at a time. Her body’s instincts were faster than her mind. The moment Xu Jingyi’s lips parted, Lin Ruoyan’s tongue eagerly entered, but she didn’t know how to kiss. Her tongue just clumsily wandered around inside.

This unskilled kiss was too innocent for Xu Jingyi. While she pushed Lin Ruoyan’s shoulders with her hands, she pretended to be flustered, using her own tongue to push back against Lin Ruoyan’s. She appeared to be resisting, but she was actually inviting more.

Lin Ruoyan only had a vague idea of this sort of thing and no real experience. She took Xu Jingyi’s pushing as a sign of rejection, and the more she felt she was being pushed away, the tighter she held on, and the more savage her tongue became.

“Mmm… no… Ruoyan… stop… ah…” Xu Jingyi’s voice was soft and gentle. Her words were a rejection, but her tone was full of twists and turns. Her hands offered no resistance, making it seem more like a playful resistance, but Lin Ruoyan was too green to understand. To Lin Ruoyan, her words were like an aphrodisiac. Her mind couldn’t think of anything else; she only wanted to go deeper into Xu Jingyi.

Their tongues tangled more fiercely. In the quiet room, there was only the sound of their lips and tongues meeting and Lin Ruoyan’s heavy breathing. Every now and then, Xu Jingyi’s soft moans could be heard.

“Ruoyan… that’s enough… mmm… no more…”

Lin Ruoyan was a complete novice. With Xu Jingyi inviting her to kiss, she only knew how to kiss. Her hands stayed respectfully at the back of her head, not even caressing her body. As the kiss went on, Xu Jingyi’s desire grew more and more intense. She was soaked below, but there was no way to get relief. The desire was overwhelming her body, making her suffer. She had to stop. She pushed Lin Ruoyan’s body away with all her strength. Lin Ruoyan was holding her so tightly that she almost fell off the sofa.

Both of them were breathing heavily. Lin Ruoyan was still staring at her lips, not looking away at all. She had completely forgotten that Xu Jingyi was her sister-in-law, that she shouldn’t be disrespectful, and that she might even be the mastermind behind her brother’s death. All she wanted was to taste Xu Jingyi’s sweetness again.

But Xu Jingyi wasn’t going to give her that chance. If the kiss continued, she wouldn’t be able to handle it. “You need to calm down. I’m going back.” She didn’t hesitate, turning and slamming the door behind her.

Lin Ruoyan covered her face with her hands, regretting her impulsive actions while savoring the taste she had just had.
