My Sister Likes My Sister - Chapter 2
Chapter 2: Could You Cooperate?
Shen Jianlan froze for a moment, her pale lips pressed together. After a while, she asked softly, “How expensive?”
Her overly serious demeanor didn’t sound like flirting at all. Instead, it was more like she was assessing the damages of a car accident.
Yu Si-yan smiled sweetly and beckoned to her.
The other woman stood still, her slender back excessively straight. It took a moment for her to belatedly understand what Yu Si-yan meant, and she tentatively bent her precious waist.
A faint, clean scent wafted past Yu Si-yan’s nose, carried by the subtle curves of the form-fitting sweater, and she realized her mind was already starting to wander.
Taking advantage of the alcohol’s bite, she let her thoughts roam within a controlled range. While it might be impolite to fantasize about the softness of that arch right in front of the person, she was considerate enough not to imagine anything more intimate.
To feel desire and to have thoughts in a setting like this, with this kind of atmosphere, was completely normal for an adult. She had nothing to feel guilty about.
But when her eyes met Shen Jianlan’s excessively clear gaze, a stark contrast to the dim, ambiguous lighting, Yu Si-yan couldn’t help but feel a little guilty.
So, her voice took on a hint of sweetness, like a clear plum wine: “Expensive enough… to have you come have a drink with me… is that okay?”
The last three words stretched upward, and she tilted her head. The cunning in her foxy eyes was like a bright hairpin catching the candlelight. In that instant, a similar intense fire lit up in Shen Jianlan’s heart.
There was no reason to refuse. The woman sat down gracefully across from her, her back still ramrod straight, like a diligent student in a lecture. Her gaze was just as focused on Yu Si-yan.
Shen Jianlan started to speak, “My name is…”
“Shhh.” Yu Si-yan put a finger on her soft red lips and shook it gently. She blinked. “Tell me after I win.”
Shen Jianlan held back from asking how they would win. Yu Si-yan had already quickly placed an order.
Soon, a new glass of the same drink that had spilled earlier was brought over, along with several other colorful drinks, all standing quietly between the two of them.
Shen Jianlan reached for the glass that belonged to her, but Yu Si-yan got there first. She held the stem of the glass and swirled the liquid. “Mmm, it’s yours only if you can say its name.”
Shen Jianlan was speechless.
She searched her mind for a while, but came up with nothing. With so many drinks that had similar names—various beautiful words combined in different ways—it would be a miracle to remember them all.
She compromised. “I’ll switch to another drink.”
Yu Si-yan stared at her.
With a slight pout and a hint of injustice, Shen Jianlan knew she couldn’t get around this rule no matter what. So, she chose a different angle. “You actually recognized which drink spilled.”
Yu Si-yan laughed triumphantly. “Well, I come here often.”
The biggest lez bar in Lin City was also a great place for a little hunting. Guan Xianglin had dragged her there countless times. She tried a new drink every time, and after a few years, she had tasted all the varieties.
Just by smelling it, Yu Si-yan knew what drink Shen Jianlan had spilled on her.
This drink had a violent name: “Burn After Reading.” It was smooth going down, but the aftertaste suddenly became heavy, until the tip of the tongue felt a little numb.
Unfortunately, her shirt and arm had gotten the benefit of it.
Shen Jianlan showed a trace of confusion, then her expression returned to her usual blank face. She calmly said, “This is my first time here.”
The implication was that she often frequented other bars and was by no means a novice.
Yu Si-yan cooperatively nodded, put the glass back, and her smile grew even brighter. “That’s perfect. Let’s play a few rounds.”
Play a few rounds of what? Shen Jianlan simply nodded. “You decide.”
Yu Si-yan hadn’t thought of a good game yet when the girl who had asked for her WeChat earlier returned, with a large group of people trailing behind her. “Hey, sis, our game is short one person. Wanna come play with us?”
Yu Si-yan got up without thinking, then belatedly realized someone was still sitting across from her. Just as she was about to refuse, she saw Shen Jianlan also quietly stand up.
Facing the girl’s hopeful gaze, she gave a reserved nod. “My friend will come too, is that okay?”
“Of course! The more the merrier. Come on!” The girl reached out to pull her away. Yu Si-yan didn’t dodge, and was half-coaxed, half-crowded forward. It wasn’t until she stopped at a large table that she had a chance to look back.
Squeezed in the crowd, Shen Jianlan was isolated at the furthest point from her. Her excessively indifferent but striking face looked out of place in the group, yet she didn’t utter a single complaint.
Yu Si-yan felt a pang of pity. She blinked in Shen Jianlan’s direction, and only then realized that the other woman had been watching her the whole time. She mouthed the words, “Come… here.”
There was no way she could come closer.
Someone immediately organized everyone into a circle around the table. When Yu Si-yan looked up again, Shen Jianlan was standing directly opposite her.
Yu Si-yan breathed a sigh of relief. Shen Jianlan simply stood there, still and straight. When the dice were rolled, she wasn’t cold or overly enthusiastic, following along by clapping. When it was her turn, she drank her cup in one go.
For some reason, the dice were particularly unfair to the newcomer tonight. Before long, Shen Jianlan had already drunk three glasses. The composure in her eyes finally gave way, revealing a kind of soft charm, and her posture relaxed a bit.
Yu Si-yan openly stared at her. She was already stunning, just a bit too cold. Now, under the colorful lights, there was no drop from her cloud-like demeanor; instead, she seemed even more delicate and captivating.
It was clear that she wasn’t the only one who noticed this, because someone immediately suggested that drinking alone was boring and that the punishments should include other things.
Truth or Dare, various forms of physical contact—Yu Si-yan knew them all by heart and usually didn’t think much of them.
The next round, she lost. Yu Si-yan stood calmly in place. The punishment was to drink a glass of strong liquor or kiss the winner through a tissue.
Her gaze swept across the crowd. As everyone watched in anticipation, she slowly drank the pretty liquor.
A wave of disappointed groans followed, but Yu Si-yan just smiled without a word, swirling the empty glass. Her eyes were fixed on the person across from her.
It was as if she had done all this for Shen Jianlan.
Perhaps it was the effect of the alcohol, but Shen Jianlan felt the gaze from across the table was burning. She looked back, and the perpetual coldness in her eyes was easily melted away in that moment.
She withdrew her gaze, a little dazed, until a new round of cheers erupted beside her. Shen Jianlan realized she had lost again.
If she drank again… she’d be drunk.
Maybe she was already drunk, otherwise, why couldn’t she move her feet as she watched the excessively beautiful woman across from her walk closer and closer? She just stood there nervously, as if waiting to be chosen.
The music in the bar was too loud, and the chatter was deafening. Shen Jianlan felt a wave of dizziness and it took a moment for her to hear the punishment she was about to face.
Hmm, a kiss through a tissue, exactly the same as before.
The person was Yu Si-yan, also exactly the same as before.
What was different was that Yu Si-yan had refused to kiss anyone else, but when she had the power to decide the punishment for her, she chose to do it herself.
This blatant favoritism made it immediately clear to everyone in the room what the relationship between them was, or what it was about to become.
The cheering grew louder as Yu Si-yan walked over with complete ease. She made a wide circle and stopped gracefully in front of Shen Jianlan, tilting her head up slightly to ask, “Kiss?”
Such an intimate word, in this setting and with so many people watching, didn’t seem like a big deal. Shen Jianlan just felt the fire in her heart burn hotter under Yu Si-yan’s gaze.
She was already here, so why be reserved?
Before she could even nod, she simply lowered her eyes, and Yu Si-yan nimbly pressed a clean white tissue against her lips.
Her index finger gently held it in place, but she wasn’t in a hurry to do anything. She just leisurely traced the outline of Shen Jianlan’s entire mouth. Then, half-coaxing, she lightly complained, “Could you cooperate?”
Shen Jianlan didn’t know how she wasn’t cooperating, but a moment later, as she looked at the top of Yu Si-yan’s head, she understood and obediently lowered her head.
The little bit of liquid still on her lips instantly soaked a small spot on the tissue, and from there, it slowly spread, growing larger and larger. The excessively thin barrier couldn’t block the high body heat, and Shen Jianlan felt almost burned by it.
Yu Si-yan had drunk a little too much, and her head was feeling a bit fuzzy. Even though she was acting like an expert, she didn’t even get the position right at first, only lightly grazing and vaguely touching before pulling away.
In a public place, flirting was only supposed to go so far.
But just as her hips swayed and her tiptoes were about to touch the ground, the woman opposite her, who had been excessively calm, seemed to finally react, and she suddenly used a bit of force.
Yu Si-yan was surprised. Her head reflexively went back, and she froze in place. In the dim light, her hands also coincidentally touched the other woman’s waist.
Through the thin layer of wool, she could feel the delicate curve. The tissue on her lips became more and more wet, so thin that it was about to break.
Yu Si-yan thought something more exciting was about to happen, but it didn’t. The woman opposite her didn’t move, just pressed quietly against her, as if this was her complete understanding and expectation of a kiss.
Yu Si-yan couldn’t help but laugh. She subtly extended the tip of her tongue and slowly traced every inch of the other’s lips. From such close a distance, she saw the other’s perpetually lowered eyes finally squeeze shut, as if in an attitude of facing death bravely.
And her own beautiful foxy eyes remained wide open, openly admiring. Even from this angle, the woman across from her was still flawlessly beautiful, every part of her matching Yu Si-yan’s aesthetic perfectly.
The clean, grassy scent still enveloped her, light but enduring, making Yu Si-yan feel a little dizzy. It had been a long time since she had felt this comfortable, especially when drunk.
She almost wanted to make this kiss last forever, but after all, it wasn’t just a moment for the two of them.
Figuring the time was right, however reluctant she was, Yu Si-yan finally reached up and took away the almost-shattered tissue. She hooked the corner of her mouth at Shen Jianlan and, amidst a chorus of teasing, walked back to her spot.
Shen Jianlan just stood quietly where she was, her gaze growing more and more indistinct. When she got the next drink, she finally had a chance to lightly lick her lower lip.
The warmth Yu Si-yan left behind seemed to be burning, and even the cool liquor couldn’t stop every inch of her skin from feeling hot.
Her eyes suddenly looked over, burning and full of desire.
