My Unique Skill [Gacha] Will Save the World - Episode 15: The Skill [Gacha]
Episode 15: The Skill [Gacha]
“…S-Status!”
Rindou quickly opened his status window and checked the details of the skill [Gacha].
“Ahhh, I can’t believe it! There’s just so much to look at, and I totally forgot to check the details of the gacha! Checking it after entering the gate…….. seriously, that’s something only a beginner would do!”
Annoyed with himself, Rindou hurriedly read through the details.
“Okay… so, by defeating monsters, the [Gacha] skill activates and you can get items. You can get items based on a probability. But there’s also a chance to get a miss.”
The details also listed the probabilities, and Rindou was shocked when he saw them.
“…1% chance for the skill?”
The gacha had seven different prize categories:
– The lowest, 1% for the skill.
– The next, 4% for rare equipment.
– Then, 5% for rare items.
– 7% for skill proficiency.
– 13% for regular equipment.
– 30% for regular items.
– And finally, 40% for a miss.
Rindou thought that in any gacha game, something was bound to come out. For him, the fact that there could be a miss was completely unexpected.
“…Ah! Could it be that the reason I didn’t get any items after defeating multiple goblins or sword wolves is because I got a miss?”
When multiple monsters are defeated within a certain period, the gacha is automatically performed. And if all the results are misses, it will display accordingly. If there’s a win, only that one result will be shown.
Realizing how complicated the system was, Rindou sighed heavily. He pressed his head.
“…Well, it’s my fault for not checking properly. But come on, telling me to check in that situation is a bit much!”
While stomping his feet and complaining, Rindou felt a little better as some of his questions were now answered.
However, he couldn’t help but feel down that the skill he most wanted had only a 1% chance.
“How many monsters do I need to defeat before I get the skill? And how many skills can I even get in total?”
He returned to the details. And there he found a number under the skill section: 1/3.
“This is it, this is it! …….Hmm, it says that aside from [Gacha], I can acquire up to three skills. And if I get more than that, I’ll have to choose which one to keep. …Wait, there’s more.”
Rindou had found something about the skill levels.
While the skill [Basic Swordsmanship] had no level listed, the skill [Gacha] had a level displayed.
“[Gacha] is at level 1. What happens when this level increases? Does it mean I can get more skills?”
There was no further explanation on what happens as the level increases.
Still, Rindou thought that leveling up wouldn’t lead to something bad. He figured that by defeating monsters, not only could he roll the gacha, but he could also raise the skill level.
“Well, whether I’m getting skills or items, or increasing the skill level, I guess it’s all the same thing to do.”
It all came down to hunting monsters—there was nothing else he needed to do.
However, there was one thing that he didn’t quite understand.
“But…… what’s skill proficiency?”
Rindou understood skills and items, but the term “skill proficiency” was new to him.
He scrolled through the status window again. And finally, he found it.
“…Huh? There it is, proficiency.”
When Rindou had admired players and done research in the past, he had never heard of skill proficiency. But now, next to his skill [Basic Swordsmanship], there was a proficiency value.
“Huh, when the proficiency hits 100%, it evolves into a higher-level skill? But why is it already at 3.57%? How did it increase?”
Proficiency doesn’t only increase from the gacha—it also increases through combat with monsters.
However, it doesn’t increase significantly unless fighting strong monsters. And it’s not something displayed in other players’ status windows.
“……..…This is something I need to test. But why didn’t I get any information about proficiency? If it’s related to skills, I would think the Association would officially release information on it.”
Unaware that only Rindou could see it, he muttered to himself while gripping his Gale Sword.
“Alright, I’ve gathered a decent amount of information. But I still need to do more testing.”
Looking around, he noticed a forest spreading to his right.
“…There might be something over there. Should I go check it out?”
Rindou had become more sensitive to the presence of monsters after becoming a player. Having detected a faint presence, he directed his steps toward the eastern forest.
