Episode 87: The Treasure Vault

As Rindou and the others advanced down the passage, they could hear the angry shouts of the audience from behind.

However, they could tell that Eldoran was shouting something. He was trying to calm them down.

“Yeah. Most likely, he’ll be the next king of this world, I think?”

Ayane and Kyousuke exchanged their opinions. But Rindou wasn’t listening. His mind was already focused on the treasure vault. He was strongly hoping that there would be an Elixir inside.

When Rindou spoke up, Ayane and Kyousuke stopped talking and turned to the front. There, in front of them, was a heavy-looking double door. It exuded a serious atmosphere.

Kyousuke and Ayane spoke excitedly. They moved ahead to stand on either side of the door and placed their hands on it.

As expected, the treasure vault contained many rare items. Although Kyousuke and Ayane probably wanted to think about their own items, they were currently wishing only for there to be an Elixir for Rindou and Kyouka. When Rindou said this, Ayane and Kyousuke both started to move toward that area.

After hearing Rindou’s words, Ayane said so. Kyousuke nodded. It wasn’t long before they went separate ways. And as promised, Rindou headed toward the shelves in front.

Rindou made sure not to miss anything. He began carefully checking each item from the far end. There were many rare items, like Advanced Potions and universal medicines, as well as rare items that permanently increase stats. But the Elixir was nowhere to be found.

Growing more anxious, Rindou eventually reached the center of the shelves. It was where he spotted an elegant small box decorated with gold, silver, and jewels.

At Rindou’s voice, Kyousuke and Ayane turned around excitedly.

“We did it, Rindou-kun!”

With their voices full of joy, Kyousuke and Ayane called out. And they too came over, carrying the equipment they had liked.

“So this is the Elixir.”

Ayane said with a wry smile. Rindou then took the Elixir out of the box again.

“We’ll automatically return to the gate we came in from.”

After hearing where they’d be sent back to, Rindou began thinking about the quickest route back to the hospital from the place with the gate.

“Hang in there, Kyouka. I’ll be back quickly with the Elixir!”

And so, Rindou and the others successfully cleared the star-6 gate.
