“…Ugh… mm…”  

When Kyousuke woke up, he was greeted by the worried faces of Rindou, Ayane, and Kageboshi looking down at him.  

“………….Am I alive?”  

“If you weren’t, that’d mean we’re all dead too.”  

“Of course you’re alive, Yada-senpai!”  

“Don’t joke around like that!”  

“Ha, sorry.”  

Kyousuke tried to sit up. But his body wouldn’t respond as he wanted. Rindou offered a hand, helping him to sit upright.  

“Thanks, Rindou-kun.”  

“The poison hasn’t completely left your body yet. Don’t push yourself.”  

“Yeah, you’re right.”  

Kyousuke exhaled softly and looked around. The white mist that had been drifting through the area had disappeared, and his vision was clear.  

What he saw was nothing special—just the usual walls and floors commonly found inside the dungeon’s doors.  

“That white mist… it was the poison itself, wasn’t it?”  

“Yeah. Kunichika figured it out for us.”  

“Kunichika?”  

Hearing the name, Kyousuke glanced around.  

“Sorry, he’s not here right now.”  

“That guy’s really tough, huh? As soon as he recovered from the poison, he stood up, secured the surroundings, and went off with Voltenix in hand.”  

“Still, having someone that capable around is reassuring.”  

“…….I see. That’s just like Kunichika.”  

Kyousuke couldn’t help but smile at the thought of Kunichika’s reliability.  

“So, I’m planning to either destroy or retrieve the dungeon core next. What about you, Kyousuke?”  

“I’ll stay here. It’s better if you clear the gate quickly without me slowing you down.”  

Concerned about being a burden, Kyousuke shrugged as he spoke.  

“In that case, I’ll stay here with him.” 

“Are you sure, Kageboshi-san?”  

“Even though I can’t sense any monsters, we’re still inside the gate. It’s better to stay cautious.”  

“Sorry, Kageboshi-san. I appreciate it.”  

After Kyousuke thanked Kageboshi, Rindou and Ayane stood up.  

“Alright, we’ll get going.”  

“Take your time and wait here!”  

“I’m counting on you.”  

“Just hurry up already!”  

Rindou and Ayane headed toward the door they had spotted earlier.  

When they reached it, they exchanged a glance and nodded before opening the double doors together.  

The heavy doors creaked open. They revealed five white orbs resting on pedestals, serving as the dungeon core.  

“All the orbs are pure white. Do you think they’re connected to magic?”  

“If they’re orbs, that’s likely. Still, it seems we’ll be collecting them instead of destroying them this time too.”  

Rindou picked up four of the orbs. The moment he did, the ground began to tremble.  

“Phew, I guess we can head back to the surface now. Clearing two double-gate back-to-back is exhausting.”  

“We should tell the Branch Manager we’ll need a break for a while…”  

As they relaxed, Rindou suddenly noticed something was off.  

“Wait, Ayane!”  

“What’s wrong, Rindou-san?”  

“This isn’t the usual teleportation!”  

“Huh? …Wait, it’s glowing blue? But Rindou-san, you’re glowing rainbow!”  

Not understanding what was happening, Rindou and Ayane rushed out of the innermost room.  

“Rindou Amachi! What’s going on?”  

“Wait, Kageboshi-san! Rindou-kun and Ayane-san are glowing too!”  

“No way… Kyousuke and Kageboshi as well!?”  

“The teleportation… it’s starting!”  

Without any time to comprehend the situation, Rindou and his companions vanished from sight.

Rindou grew more alert as he examined the place he had been transported to.  

It was a stark white pentagonal room, with a door on each wall.  

“…Huh? One of the orbs we collected has changed color.”  

Among the five dungeon cores Rindou had retrieved, one of the white orbs had turned rainbow-colored.

“Ayane, Kageboshi, Kyousuke!?”  

Ayane and the others had also been transported to the same white room.  

“What is this place, Rindou Amachi?”

“Wait, Rindou-san, isn’t the orb’s color different?”

“What is it, Rindou-kun?”  

The five orbs that had originally been pure white began to change. One had already turned rainbow-colored. But at the same moment Ayane and the others were teleported, three more orbs also transformed.  

“…Red, blue, and black orbs now?”  

“Wait, Rindou-kun! The teleportation isn’t over yet!”  

Hearing Kyousuke’s warning, Rindou shifted his gaze from the orbs to the spot where another teleportation was occurring. And then—

“…Ha, who would’ve thought Kunichika would be teleported too.”  

“K-Kyousuke!?”  

As Kunichika was transported into the stark white space, the final remaining orb turned yellow.
