My Unique Skill [Gacha] Will Save the World - Episode 130: The Enhanced Skill
Episode 130: The Enhanced Skill
“…Huh? I’m back?”
Rindou realized he was back in the completely white room. He found himself standing in front of the door he had entered earlier.
“…It won’t open.”
He tried once more to enter, but the door didn’t budge.
Turning around, he saw that no one had returned yet. Rindou decided to reflect on the events that had just occurred.
(Honestly, I don’t understand what happened. But the voice did say something about skill enhancement.)
Thinking he could confirm the truth by checking his skills, Rindou opened his status screen.
“If it really has been enhanced, I should confirm it.”
As he looked at the skill [Gacha], Rindou widened his eyes in surprise.
“…W-What is this? This isn’t just enhancement, this looks like evolution!”
Seeing the effects of the enhanced [Gacha], Rindou instinctively called it evolution.
“…Enhanced skill: Fusion of skills. By fusing acquired skills, new skills can be obtained. The fusion can involve both already acquired skills and newly acquired ones.”
While reading the explanation aloud, Rindou deepened his understanding of the enhancement.
(This enhancement is really powerful. Essentially, when faced with a choice, I can just fuse the skills and eliminate the waste.)
It was unclear whether the fused skills would become useful. But the fact that there would be no need to discard any acquired skills was a welcome improvement for Rindou.
“And the enhancement isn’t just about fusion.”
Rindou’s gaze shifted to the [Gacha] skill’s stock count.
“The number of skills I can store has increased from four to five. This is another helpful enhancement.”
Currently, Rindou had four skills: [Advanced Swordsmanship], [Death Resonance], [Iron Wall Reflection], and [Magic Sword].
If he were to acquire a new skill, he’d have to decide which of his current skills to fuse it with. Which would have been a difficult choice. But now, that wouldn’t be a problem.
“Whether the skill is enhanced or completely transformed into something new, I don’t know.”
No matter which skill he lost, it would be a huge blow to Rindou at this point. Since he wanted to test fusion with a different skill, the increase in the stock count was an incredibly helpful enhancement.
“Ahh!”
As Rindou was contemplating this, Ayane, who had entered a different door, returned.
“…Huh? You’re back?”
“You’re having the exact same reaction as I did, Ayane.”
“Eh? R-Rindou-san?”
Seeing Ayane’s reaction, Rindou understood she was probably in a similar situation and chuckled as he spoke to her.
“I wonder what happened to me? Something about skill enhancement and acquisition…”
“That’s probably real. My skill was enhanced too.”
“…Eh!? Then… does that mean I…!!”
“Why don’t you check your status?”
“Y-Yes!”
Ayane happily shouted in response to his advice. And soon after, Kyousuke, Kageboshi, and Kunichika returned. It seemed like all of them were in the same situation. Rindou gave them the same advice he had given to Ayane, and they immediately opened their status screens to confirm.
“…Haha. This is amazing.”
“…I’ve never heard of anything like this.”
“…What the heck is going on here?”
Though they were all muttering in confusion, all three of them had smiles on their faces. The enhancement or acquisition of skills must have been a pleasant surprise.
Honestly, Rindou felt an urge to ask them whether they had enhanced their skills or acquired new ones. But if he did, he’d have to explain his own situation as well.
(I could tell them, but I haven’t explained my skill to Kunichika yet. I can’t ask right now.)
Just then, a light appeared around them. It signaled the start of their teleportation.
“…….Looks like this time it’s a normal teleportation.”
“We’ll have to discuss what happened in this room later.”
“I’m fine with that!”
“I don’t mind either.”
Kyousuke’s suggestion was met with agreement from Ayane and Kageboshi. And the three of them turned their attention to Kunichika.
“…You can talk if you want, but there are probably some who don’t want to. I’m an outsider, after all.”
Kunichika was now under the gaze of the three of them. He calmly spoke and then glanced sideways at Rindou.
“…Hmm? Ah, I see.”
Kunichika had openly voiced what Rindou had been concerned about.
“…I already trust you, Kunichika.”
“Huh? What are you saying?”
“Plus, you’re going to have a discussion with Kyousuke, right? It’s faster to do it together.”
As Rindou smiled and spoke, Kunichika scratched his head. He was showing a look of exasperation.
“…Tch, fine. I’ll listen to you this time.”
Having received Kunichika’s permission, Rindou and the others were finally ready to teleport to the front of the gate once more.
