While Kanna was relieved, she couldn’t help but feel puzzled by his extraordinary recovery speed. 

“Is it because he’s a player? But I’m a player too, and my recovery isn’t this fast. Other players still come to hospitals when they’re injured… No one heals like Rindou-san…” 

Mumbling to herself, Kanna became lost in thought. So Rindou turned his attention to talking with Kyouka instead. 

“Are you *really* okay, Onii-chan?” 

“I’m fine, really. The test results said so, didn’t they?” 

“Well, yes, but…” 

Even with the proof, Kyouka couldn’t stop worrying. Rindou smiled as he gently patted her head. 

“I contacted Kyousuke and Ayane, so they should be here soon—” 

“Rindou-kun!” 

“Rindou-san!” 

“…They really came, Onii-chan.” 

“And at the exact same time, too.” 

The timing was so perfect that it almost made Rindou suspicious of their relationship. But the atmosphere wasn’t right for such questions. 

“Are you okay? Any abnormalities? Did they check everything thoroughly?” 

“Sleeping for seven whole days……… Do you have any idea how *worried* we were?” 

Faced with their overwhelming concern, Rindou instinctively leaned back a little as he reassured them.

Sensing that Rindou might have been suspicious about them too like Kyousuke and Ayane, they quickly clarified about their timing as soon as they arrived.

Rindou sighed in exasperation as the two quickly apologized, realizing their mistake. 

“What are you two even doing? Grown adults…” 

“Wait! The Branch Manager is here too?!” 

Rindou had informed the four who were already present, as he had their contact information. However, he hadn’t contacted Kenji, since he didn’t have his personal number. 

That’s why Kenji’s sudden appearance left Rindou surprised. 

“Kageboshi told me.” 

“Kageboshi did?” 

“The Branch Manager asked me to. You didn’t have his number, apparently,” 

Kageboshi admitted reluctantly. 

Seeing her expression, Rindou chuckled. 

“I see. Thanks, Kageboshi.” 

“I was just following the Branch Manager’s orders.” 

“I’m really glad you woke up, Player Rindou. Here, a little something for you.” 

Kenji handed a fruit basket to Kyouka as he expressed his relief. 

“Thank you, Branch Manager.” 

“…Wait, so none of the rest of you brought anything?”

Kenji’s comment made Kyousuke and the others awkwardly avert their gazes. 

Of course, bringing a gift wasn’t mandatory, but Kenji couldn’t hide his exasperation. 

“…Well, it’s fine. You all worked hard, after all.” 

“Y-yeah, exactly, Branch Manager!” 

“Still, almost dying is no small thing,” 

Ayane and Kageboshi muttered hurriedly. 

“You’re right. Next time, I’ll bring something, Rindou-kun.” 

“Huh? …Fine, I’ll bring something too, even though it’s a pain.” 

“Hey! Don’t betray me like that!” 

“I’m fine with it.” 

“W-what?! Even Kageboshi-san?! F-fine, I’ll bring something next time too, Rindou-san!” 

“I mean, I wasn’t asking for gifts in the first place…” 

Rindou said with a sheepish smile. As Ayane’s words made it sound like he was demanding them. 

“Rindou-san’s condition shows no abnormalities, but we can’t rule out anything unexpected. You’ll stay hospitalized for a few more days for observation,” 

Kanna interjected, bringing the conversation back on track. 

“Well then, I’ll take my leave now. I’m sure you all have plenty to catch up on.” 

“Understood. Thank you, Doctor.” 

“It’s my job, after all,” 

Kanna said with a smile as she left the room after Rindou’s polite thanks.
