My Villain Is Super Sweet (GL) - CHAPTER 33
Lately, the two of them had been holding back so much it was almost painful. Missing each other, thinking of each other, yet unable to be together—it was a tragic love story.
So finally getting a chance to sneak off for a secret meeting, to steal a few moments of intimacy, all the pent-up longing that had been building up came bursting out.
Unlike last time, when they had only shared a brief taste, this time things got intense. Their lips and tongues intertwined, kissing passionately until their mouths went numb, breathing heavy, hearts racing out of rhythm—and still, they couldn’t bring themselves to stop.
Gu Qingci felt weak all over from the kissing. Even though it was the middle of winter, she felt hot. So hot that the thick winter coats felt like a burden. She had an urge to rip them off and toss them aside.
She couldn’t help but wrap her arms around Lin Lang’s shoulders, pushing her body even closer, rubbing against her, desperate to be as close as possible.
Whimpering, she complained softly, “Lin Lang, I feel awful…”
She wanted her to hold her tighter, to do something, anything to ease this ache.
At times like this, Lin Lang was always incredibly considerate—and her sense of self-preservation was strong. She didn’t say something like “just hold on,” nor did she try to take advantage of the moment to push for more.
With a hoarse voice, she hesitated and said, “Then… should I hold back?”
As much as she wanted to keep kissing and holding her, if it made Gu Qingci feel frustrated and uncomfortable, then it wasn’t worth it.
Gu Qingci bit her lip, thought for two seconds, then shook her head decisively. Her breath was hot. “No, I want more…”
As she spoke, she leaned in again, kissing her with even more heat and passion.
It was definitely frustrating to be left hanging, but kissing the one you love—there’s nothing sweeter or more wonderful. That electric thrill from a single touch made her feel weak and floaty, like she was walking on clouds.
She just wanted more.
She wanted to keep kissing, never stop.
Lin Lang lowered her head and captured her lips again, kissing her gently and affectionately.
Perfect. She didn’t want to stop either!
For nearly an hour, they barely exchanged any words. They just held each other and kissed, only breaking apart when they felt like they were about to suffocate. Even then, after just a few breaths, they couldn’t help but dive back in, continuing their passionate kisses.
When it was finally time to go back, Gu Qingci was fixing her hair and makeup when she noticed her lips were slightly swollen, her eyes misty with emotion, and her gaze soft and full of longing. She looked exactly like someone who’d just been up to something.
She’d expected her lipstick to get ruined—no surprise there. But how was it that her bare lips now looked even more luscious and tempting than when she had lipstick on?
Even she, a first-timer at this kind of thing, could tell she looked suspicious. Let alone the two elders waiting at home—both of whom were experienced enough to recognize the signs immediately. If she went back like this, it’d be like announcing she’d just sneaked off to fool around!
Just the thought made her feel suffocated.
She couldn’t help blaming Lin Lang. “It’s all your fault!”
For kissing her so much her lips got swollen.
Lin Lang found it funny. Just now, wasn’t it someone else who had been so eager? The moment they separated, she had looked at her with those misty, desire-filled eyes, clearly not satisfied.
Such a spoiled little princess. Using her and tossing her aside, pretending nothing happened.
But Lin Lang was smart. She admitted fault without protest and said with a good temper, “Yes, yes, it’s all my fault.”
She reached out to hug her adorable princess, but got slapped away.
“No hugs!” The princess’s face was red. If they hugged again, they might end up kissing again. “No more kissing.”
She muttered, “How am I supposed to go back like this?”
Lin Lang backed off obediently, resting her hand lightly on her shoulder. She leaned in and whispered near her ear, “The wind on the way back might help cool things down. I’ll walk with you?”
Her warm breath tickled Gu Qingci’s ear. She felt her ear tips go hot and pushed her away. “Don’t get so close…”
Any closer and she might not be able to resist jumping her again!
In the end, Lin Lang walked her back, hand in hand. They walked so slowly, as if they never wanted the road to end.
Gu Qingci kept stopping to ask, full of hope, “Do I look any better now?”
If Lin Lang said something like “Not really” or “Still the same,” she’d glare at her and huff, “It’s all your fault!”
Then she’d pull her hand away and stomp ahead by herself.
But if Lin Lang said, “Looks a little better now,”
Gu Qingci would happily reach for her hand again, either holding it or linking arms, walking close together like nothing had happened.
Lin Lang nearly laughed herself silly.
She even gave her a cheeky idea: “If Auntie Gu asks why your lips are swollen, just say you had ice cream.”
I mean, who hasn’t gotten cold burns from eating ice cream in the middle of winter?
Gu Qingci narrowed her eyes at her, snorting softly. “And what if she asks why my face is so flushed?”
“Just say you were excited to see your mom and ran all the way home.”
Gu Qingci gave her a look of realization. Then, silently, she pulled her hand back, peeled open Lin Lang’s coat, slipped her hand under her sweater, and touched her waist.
Lin Lang didn’t stop her—in fact, she leaned into it, though she pretended to be serious. “This might not be appropriate…”
Gu Qingci looked up at her and smiled sweetly. “I think it’s very appropriate.”
Then she pinched her waist—hard.
“Ah!” Lin Lang yelped in surprise, face full of disbelief.
Wasn’t she just touching her waist to enjoy the smooth curves? How did this turn into a sneak attack?
She turned her head and saw Gu Qingci glaring at her with a smug, “Got you!” kind of look.
“Oh, I see now. You’re this good at making things up—how often have you been bluffing me too?”
Lin Lang winced in pain, but still pleaded, “No, I would never bluff you, I swear!”
Gu Qingci didn’t believe her for a second.
Lin Lang’s face scrunched up from the pain. With her strength and skills, she could’ve easily stopped her. But she didn’t—she just took it as a kind of flirtation. She mumbled, “You know… this counts as domestic violence.”
Gu Qingci’s eyes widened.
Wow, she’s still flirting at a time like this.
Of course. This was so Lin Lang.
Sometimes, Lin Lang thought, being too honest might not be such a good thing.
Take Gu Minglan, for example. She really was someone who stuck to her word. She said she’d stay for ten to fifteen days—and she stayed the full fifteen.
She arrived in Beijing on the 21st and had booked her return flight for the afternoon of January 6th.
Sure, December has 31 days, but if she got there at noon on the 21st and left on the 6th, that was exactly 15 days. Not a minute more, not a minute less!
Before New Year’s, she had already taken Gu Qingci on a short trip outside of Beijing. If not for an annual meeting on the 3rd that absolutely needed Gu Qingci’s presence, they probably wouldn’t have returned until the 5th.
And since she was traveling with her mom, of course they shared a hotel room. So Gu Qingci didn’t feel comfortable video-calling Lin Lang. Most of the time, they just chatted briefly on WeChat.
By now, Lin Lang hadn’t seen her princess in over a week.
After the annual meeting, Lin Lang dragged her feet, not wanting to leave. She looked at Gu Qingci, who was talking to Yuan Ying, with a wounded expression, hoping she’d realize how she’d been neglecting her and come over to comfort her.
To her shock, after a short whisper with Yuan Ying, Gu Qingci did send someone away—but it was Lin Lang!
Unbelievable!
Lin Lang stormed off in a huff.
Yuan Ying felt a little bad and whispered, “She could’ve stayed. This thing we’re working on—it was a group effort.”
Gu Qingci looked at her. “You call handing you notes and recording data a group effort?”
She was starting to question the meaning of the word “research.”
Yuan Ying looked embarrassed. “Well, she did come up with the formula.”
Gu Qingci: …
Now she wasn’t sure she even knew Lin Lang anymore.
“She did?” Since when did this coder girl start writing lab formulas?
Yuan Ying nodded firmly.
“How’d she do it, draw straws?” Gu Qingci muttered. Other than some mysterious kind of divine intervention, she couldn’t figure it out.
Yuan Ying looked awkward but nodded again.
She explained the whole story. During the holidays, while Gu Qingci was off traveling, Lin Lang, being nearby and bored, stayed in the lab writing year-end summaries and reviewing reports.
Yuan Ying had been pouring everything into her research all year, basically living in the lab 20 hours a day. Even during the holidays, she stayed behind to work.
She needed to move some equipment but couldn’t do it alone. Lin Lang happened to be there and helped her out easily.
Seeing how busy Yuan Ying was, and with nothing better to do, Lin Lang pitched in with the simpler tasks that didn’t require much skill—just careful attention.
After several failed experiments, Yuan Ying kept tweaking the formula. Lin Lang, bored out of her mind, started playing around with the discarded ones, mixing and matching in a kind of “eeny-meeny-miny-moe” way. She even scribbled down a few for fun and told Yuan Ying to try them if she wanted.
A couple of them, while looking wild at first glance, turned out to be quite interesting on closer inspection. So Yuan Ying thought, why not give them a try?
And boom—one of them produced completely new results.
She was shocked and excited, immediately contacted her mentor, and requested access to a more advanced lab at Huada for further testing.
Even then, they hadn’t found its upper or lower limits, so more testing was needed.
Her mentor was thrilled, urging her to join a research institute full-time, and helped submit the application for a higher-level lab.
Gu Qingci’s feelings were complicated. With things this ridiculous happening around Lin Lang, was she really blessed by fate? Was it true that whoever won her heart could conquer the world?
Back in Lin Lang’s office, the girl was still sulking, not even bothering to look up.
Gu Qingci found it funny—and a little adorable. Pouting like this? So childish.
She walked over and hugged her from behind, nuzzling her cheek. “Don’t be mad, okay? I was just talking business with Yuan Ying. And as soon as I finished, I came straight to you.”
Then she whispered in her ear, hinting softly, “I told my mom we’re all going out for dinner tonight, so I’ll be home a bit late.”
Lin Lang stiffened slightly, feeling the softness of her body pressing against her back.
Still, she stayed silent. What did a group dinner have to do with her?
It’s not like she was invited.
Once again, she would be alone at night, cold and lonely, with no one beside her.
A queen with a girlfriend in name only—that’s what she had become.
Realizing Lin Lang didn’t get the hint, Gu Qingci blushed and made it clearer: “We can leave a little early… and hang out at your place for a while?”
Lin Lang’s eyes lit up instantly.
