My Villain Is Super Sweet (GL) - CHAPTER 47
“You guys just make up your own standards for diagnosing, don’t you? Just give money and it’s all good?”
“Is it only what I think matters, not what you think?”
“Let me guess. It’s been several days now, so everything’s been processed, right? From the procedure’s perspective, I’m officially diagnosed as a legitimate mental patient, right?”
“Well, do you think I know that for a mental patient, killing isn’t a crime?”
The doctor, whose mouth was covered and who was being violently beaten on the floor, looked at Lin Lang with panic and fear.
Hearing that familiar phrase again, he trembled all over, desperately trying to speak, struggling to beg for mercy.
The first time he heard that person say this slowly, it was a reminder, or rather a warning, to not provoke Lin Lang and just finish his job quietly.
He had found it laughable.
Such a “patient” who was entirely under his control, someone he could manipulate and break easily, was it necessary to talk about her as though she had some incredible power, that she could kill and that it was something to fear?
These people who had been sent in through various means, no matter how proud or important they had been before, hadn’t they all been tamed by him in the end?
Now, he regretted it!
His regret was as vast as the river, flowing endlessly along with his tears, continuously dripping from the corners of his eyes.
He should have listened to advice and been careful. If he had another chance, he would heed the person’s words, cautiously watch over her, and not get any crooked ideas or cause trouble!
He swore!
Unfortunately, he had woken up too late. Even if he wanted to swear and make promises now, there was no opportunity left.
Lin Lang gave the disgusting man a thorough beating, and the anger that had been building up inside her finally began to dissipate a little.
She swiftly tied him up, took out his phone, and made the doctor automatically unlock it. Then, she leisurely sat down on a swivel chair, flipping through the contents of his phone.
The phone was clean and showed nothing out of the ordinary.
Lin Lang didn’t believe this guy was so clean.
Anyone who could casually diagnose a normal person as a mental patient was certainly no good!
She felt disgusted by him and thought using his phone to call Gu Qingci would be an insult to her ladyship.
So, she used the fixed phone in the testing room to call Gu Qingci and report her safety.
When Gu Qingci heard Lin Lang’s voice, she was almost in disbelief!
“Lin Lang!”
“Are you safe?”
“Did they rescue you?”
“Have you been hurt these past few days?”
“Woo woo woo, I was so worried about you!”
“Where are you now? I’ll come right away!”
Just hearing her voice from the receiver, Gu Qingci’s overwhelming joy was palpable!
By the end, she was crying uncontrollably, saying she would come to find her.
Lin Lang’s eyes watered, and she felt an indescribable warmth.
So, for these past few days, Miss Gu had been doing everything she could to arrange for people to rescue her.
After experiencing a family full of heartless, ruthless people, Miss Gu’s direct and sincere warmth felt like a divine light in Lin Lang’s eyes, almost like a goddess.
It moved her deeply, enough that she would give her life for Miss Gu.
Touched as she was, Lin Lang didn’t forget that she wasn’t out of danger yet and was still in a precarious situation.
She was good at grasping key points: “You know I’ve been trapped here, right?”
“Have you arranged for someone to come get me?”
“Can you contact them?”
“Otherwise, should I just call the police?”
Gu Qingci stopped her tears for a moment and whispered, “Actually, you don’t need to call the police just yet. I reported it three days ago, and I’ll call again to check. I’ll ask if they will handle it or if we should have the police involved.”
She thought that if there wasn’t someone watching over things, and Lin Lang was officially diagnosed as a “mental patient,” it might take some time for her to get out without harm.
After confirming Lin Lang’s safety and ability to protect herself, and knowing help would arrive soon, the people responsible assured her that there was no need for police intervention. They would deploy local law enforcement to assist.
Once she knew someone would come to rescue her, the tension in Lin Lang’s heart eased considerably.
But before leaving, there were still things she could do.
She slowly walked over, stood beside the doctor for a while, and then returned to the swivel chair, placing her foot on the doctor’s body. She removed the cloth gag from his mouth.
“Look at you, with those shifty eyes. You’ve done plenty of evil things, right?” She pressed down with her foot a few times, “Tell me everything.”
Tell everything?
That was the same as delivering his head to her on a silver platter!
Although he wasn’t resistant to beating or pain, now that Lin Lang had stopped, and seemed to have a request, he began to tremble.
His eyes flickered, and he gasped, trying to calm his breathing, as if he had just endured torture. “You wouldn’t dare.”
“You wouldn’t dare,” the doctor repeated the same sentence, seemingly mocking Lin Lang but more like trying to convince himself. “Your life is too precious. You wouldn’t risk killing me and bearing the guilt of murder, would you?”
“Hah! If others don’t know, don’t you know if you’re sick?”
The doctor spoke with growing confidence, his eyes flashing with malice and a twisted excitement. “If you kill me, either you’ll spend your life in prison, or you’ll be stuck in a mental hospital forever. Do you really want that?”
Lin Lang lifted her foot and stomped hard on his left hand. “You know, you people are really strange.”
“When you’re hurting others, you have no respect for the law.”
“But when you’re the one being harmed, you suddenly say the cost is too high, hoping others will obey the law?”
She snorted, loosening her foot. “If you’re not satisfied with the answer that a mental patient isn’t guilty of murder, how about I give you another one? You were trying to assault me, but I ended up killing you in self-defense. How’s that?”
She stomped down hard on the doctor’s groin!
The force, the sound, his testicles were shattered.
The doctor’s eyes widened, like a dying fish, his body violently shaking, convulsing involuntarily, his mouth gaping open but unable to make a sound due to the intense pain.
“Can you speak now?”
“Had you spoken earlier, maybe you’d have been saved and could still live?”
If he dies from this, it won’t be her fault.
She was only acting in self-defense after being unlawfully attacked!
After the doctor’s testicles were destroyed, and he endured excruciating pain, he finally started to confess about the patients he had previously assaulted.
After Lin Lang described the ancient finger-clamping punishment and the modern method of slowly inserting toothpicks or fine steel needles into the fingernail cracks…
Just listening to it made her feel phantom pains in her fingers.
The doctor wasn’t some iron-willed man. Eventually, he spilled the details, someone had wanted Lin Lang’s eggs and had previously injected her with ovulation-inducing drugs. The medicine she had been taking, if used long-term, caused hallucinations, delusions, and would gradually worsen, eventually making someone mentally unstable, turning them into a “mental patient.”
When Lin Lang heard this, she was utterly disgusted!
Without even thinking, she could accurately pinpoint the person behind this disgusting act, the He family, or more precisely, He Jikai.
This time, she had truly fallen hard and suffered a heavy loss.
Since she had suffered, there was no way she wouldn’t fight back!
Before, the He family and He Jikai were just annoying, but hadn’t actively done anything evil, so she had only passively defended herself and slowly investigated.
But now that they had shown their true colors, she was absolutely going to go after them without mercy!
Now that a powerful agency had accidentally gotten involved, how could she not take this opportunity to thoroughly investigate and eliminate the hidden threat?!
And if she could send all these people to rot in prison, it would be even more perfect!
The only pity was that the doctor could no longer provide any useful information…
Useful here specifically referred to what was useful to Lin Lang. For instance, something that could directly implicate He Jikai or the He family, something that could utterly crush them, hard evidence.
Every time the doctor communicated with his contact, they used a voice changer and an unregistered number, discarding it after each transaction.
The doctor didn’t even know if he had been dealing with the same person all along or several different ones.
The only thing he could confirm was that he had received instructions earlier to admit a “patient” into the hospital on New Year’s Eve and to carry out a “treatment” to obtain what the client wanted.
The Security Bureau started acting on the morning of the second day of the New Year, right after receiving a call from Gu Qingci.
That night, they tracked down the car that had taken Lin Lang into Mingxin Sanatorium.
After confirming she had been brought inside, the next step was to determine whether Lin Lang was still there, if she had been moved, and whether she was safe.
They also needed to find out how many people were involved and what was being hidden inside.
On the third day, they sent people posing as visitors to scout the sanatorium. They noticed some suspicious areas where only a few people were allowed access.
They took the opportunity to clone a few high-level access cards.
On the fourth day, they disguised someone as a cleaner to probe even deeper.
At that point, the Security Bureau noticed there was another group sneaking around with seemingly suspicious intentions.
This made them even more alert.
The Bureau quietly marked down the other group, planning to capture everyone later in one sweep.
Finally, on the morning of the fifth day, they saw a nurse pushing Lin Lang, still strapped to a bed, through several security doors. Just as they were about to turn into a corridor leading to a testing room, the Bureau’s agent, excited, realized they had found her!
D*mn, she had been hidden in one of the heavily guarded, rarely accessible areas!
He immediately reported the situation, and his superiors instructed him to keep a close watch while they prepared a rescue.
Soon after, he got another call, new orders: get into Room 611 and meet up with Lin Lang.
He thought to himself, ‘D*mn, impressive!’
To escape from that kind of special bed without training was nearly impossible!
When he reached the spot, exchanged the passcode, and entered the room…
He couldn’t help but instinctively clench his legs together and cover his groin!
He had imagined the scene would be one of desperate struggle and miserable escape. Instead, none of that was happening.
Lin Lang was sitting grandly in a chair, arms crossed, looking like a boss.
Meanwhile, the doctor, now the villain, was tied up like a dead fish on the floor, bleeding from his lower half.
For a moment, the agent couldn’t even tell who the real villain was anymore!
So, when he saw Lin Lang casually cracking her knuckles, looking like she was about to stretch and warm up, he instinctively blurted out:
“Wait, wait, wait, you hit him earlier because you were imprisoned and assaulted, so it counts as self-defense. But now that you’re safe, if you hit him again, it’ll be considered intentional assault!”
The doctor snorted sarcastically, “Heh.”
Self-defense, my ass! She’s clearly just beating me on purpose!
Lin Lang looked at the agent in surprise, spread her hands innocently, and said:
“Why would I hit him for no reason? I’ve been locked on a bed for days; my body’s all stiff. I just need to move around a little.”
As for the doctor lying half-dead on the floor still trying to cause trouble, Lin Lang didn’t even bother to pretend.
She nudged him lightly with her toe and said:
“You, yes, you, explain everything clearly to this officer.”
She added meaningfully:
“If you explain well, you’ll just lose your d1ck. If you don’t… you’ll lose your life.”
