My Villain Is Super Sweet (GL) - CHAPTER 64
The day after Gu Minglan talked with them, around 3 PM, Gu Qingci and Lin Lang stood at the hotel lobby entrance, seeing off the Rong family, who were taking two cars to the airport.
After the cars drove away, the two of them lazily wandered toward the beach, ready to soak in the sun, the sea, and the sand.
Why go back so early anyway? Beijing was cold, and the air wasn’t great.
Spending all year cooped up in the city was enough to make anyone sick of it.
Now that they were here, surrounded by swaying coconut trees, clear blue water, and soft white sand, they had to make the most of the fresh air and beautiful scenery.
The sea breeze was gentle, the sun warm — everything felt just perfect. Barefoot on the sand, the soft grains underfoot felt so cozy it made them naturally squint their eyes in comfort.
Gu Qingci tilted her head back and leaned against Lin Lang’s shoulder, refusing to support her own weight, playing the part of a human “weight” perfectly, hanging off Lin Lang and slowing her steps.
Lin Lang, carrying both their shoes, dragged along this sweet burden — arguably the world’s most beautiful weight — for a while before asking tentatively, “Want me to carry you?”
If the spoiled princess wanted to be lazy, so be it. Honestly, carrying her would be easier than dragging her!
Gu Qingci immediately refused, “No.”
She kicked the soft sand under her feet. It felt as nice as a thick, fluffy carpet — just in a different way.
Being carried would ruin the fun. She wanted to be lazy, sure, but still have the pleasure of feeling the sand beneath her toes.
Lin Lang, a bit confused, had no choice but to soldier on, patiently carrying the extra load.
After walking quite a distance, Lin Lang happened to look back and noticed their footprints.
Her own were neat and straight, while Gu Qingci’s were all over the place — crooked and messy, thanks to her dragging her feet while hanging off Lin Lang.
A guess slowly formed in Lin Lang’s mind.
Soon after, they sat on the wooden boardwalk by the beach, blowing soap bubbles and lazily kicking at the sand.
When you’re in love, even sitting and daydreaming with someone can feel like pure happiness.
After they finished blowing a tube of bubbles, Lin Lang somehow produced a little bucket and shovel set, and excitedly invited Gu Qingci, “Come on, come on! We’re just sitting around anyway. Let’s build a sandcastle!”
Gu Qingci’s eyes lit up but still complained, “We’re adults already. Lin Lang, you’re so childish!”
But then, pretending to reluctantly agree, she said, “Fine. I’ll play with you for a bit.”
Lin Lang took off her jacket and laid it on the sand. “Here, sit on this. Squatting will get tiring.”
Gu Qingci chuckled, “Do you really think I’m such a spoiled princess?”
Building a sandcastle with a throne first?
Still, she draped the jacket back on Lin Lang, saying, “Put it back on. It’s fine now with the sun out, but it’ll get cold later.”
Then she excitedly grabbed the little shovel and started digging in the sand with great enthusiasm.
Even when it came to building sandcastles, the “princess” was competitive. She didn’t just randomly pile sand together — she carefully mapped out straight lines, built solid structures, and shaped the towers with precision, creating a grand and detailed castle.
In the process, Lin Lang, acting as her laborer, accidentally knocked over one of the castle’s beautifully crafted spires.
The look on Gu Qingci’s face was priceless.
She went from confused, to shocked, to heartbroken, staring in disbelief, her big eyes round as saucers, completely stunned.
It was too cute — Lin Lang couldn’t help but burst out laughing.
That laugh made Gu Qingci snap.
She jumped up, grabbed the little shovel, and chased after Lin Lang all over the beach.
“You actually knocked it down?!”
“Do you know how hard I worked to make it so pretty?!”
“And you’re laughing!”
“You’re dead meat!!”
Even though she was panting and chasing with all her might, she couldn’t even touch the hem of Lin Lang’s clothes.
Frustrated, Gu Qingci threw the shovel on the sand and yelled, “Get back here! Otherwise, don’t even think about coming back!”
The threat was surprisingly effective.
Lin Lang, who had been sprinting ahead, immediately slowed down, sneaking back with tiny, guilty steps, stealing glances at Gu Qingci every few seconds.
She looked so pitiful and innocent as she pleaded, “I didn’t mean to.”
“I’ll make it up to you.”
“Please give me another chance, okay?”
As she spoke, she suddenly hugged the now less-alert Gu Qingci tightly, trapping her in her arms.
Caught off guard, Gu Qingci struggled, punching Lin Lang’s shoulder with her soft fists, “No way!”
But her hands were caught, so she lifted her foot to kick her instead.
Causing trouble and laughing about it! Now trying to trick her with a sneak attack!
Unbelievable!
The more she struggled, the deeper Lin Lang’s gaze grew.
Holding her close, Lin Lang whispered against her ear — half coaxing, half seriously explaining:
“I wasn’t laughing at you.”
“It’s just… you were so adorable.”
“Your shocked face was just too cute.”
“So cute that even one glance made me happy.”
Lin Lang’s breath tickled her ear, making Gu Qingci’s cheeks slowly burn. She muttered stubbornly, “Who knows if you’re telling the truth…”
Even so, her struggles weakened.
Lin Lang couldn’t help but kiss her gently on the cheek. “It’s true.”
“I laughed because you were just too adorable.”
“Or are you saying, Princess, that you doubt your own charm?”
Gu Qingci’s anger almost completely melted away. Her lips curled into a tiny smile as she muttered, “You’re just good at sweet-talking…”
“No sweet talk, just the truth,” Lin Lang said softly, pressing another tender kiss to her lips.
And once it started, it quickly spiraled out of control.
Gu Qingci’s long lashes trembled, her protests weak, “Don’t…”
“We’re outside…”
Although most tourists had already left in the past couple of days, there were still a few scattered around the beach.
Between kisses, Lin Lang whispered against her ear, her voice low and rough:
“Isn’t that proof enough?”
“You’re so irresistible…”
“Even with people around, I can’t help it.”
Finally, Lin Lang kissed her on the lips.
“No one here knows us anyway.”
Gu Qingci weakly slapped her, still trying to protest, “Stop it, mmph…”
Her protests were all swallowed by Lin Lang’s kiss, leaving only the sound of quickened breaths and heartbeats.
“Mmph… you jerk!” Gu Qingci whimpered, feeling dizzy and weak in Lin Lang’s arms.
Such a cheater!
How could she get away with causing trouble, then using kisses instead of an apology?
So unfair!
They stayed tangled up for quite a while before Lin Lang finally coaxed and kissed her into fully forgiving her — even agreeing to rebuild the sandcastle together.
They worked quickly, racing against the setting sun and the rising tide, finally finishing their grand castle before the waves could reach it.
Toward the end, a few curious kids gathered around to watch. Their little gasps of amazement were music to Gu Qingci’s ears.
One little girl even bounced around excitedly, stomping her feet as she tried to speak, shouting in a high-pitched voice:
“Big… sister…”
“So… pretty…”
It wasn’t clear if she was talking about Gu Qingci herself or the castle, but it made the princess incredibly happy either way.
Gu Qingci admired their masterpiece from every angle, growing more and more satisfied, taking out her phone to snap pictures from all sides.
Lin Lang returned the bucket and shovel and came back carrying a bottle of water. She carefully washed Gu Qingci’s hands and wiped them dry.
Then she smiled and asked, “Are you happy?”
Gu Qingci gave her a playful glare but still honestly replied, “Very happy!”
Lin Lang held her hand and swayed it gently, “Since the setting is so perfect, shouldn’t we do something even happier?”
Gu Qingci’s first thought was: This pervert is up to something again!
They were in public!
She quickly shook off Lin Lang’s hand and took a few hurried steps away, scolding in a low voice, “Don’t you dare say anything crazy!”
If Lin Lang even hinted at wanting to try something indecent outdoors, she’d knock her out!
But Lin Lang just looked at her innocently and said, “Can’t we just dance together?”
Gu Qingci froze.
Oh — dance. That was fine.
She agreed shyly, thinking it was all Lin Lang’s fault for having too many “bad records” that made her jump to conclusions.
Feeling slightly embarrassed, she took Lin Lang’s outstretched hand.
With music playing from a phone speaker, they danced barefoot in the shallow water, letting the waves kiss their ankles, the sunset turning the sky bright orange.
Their shadows stretched across the sand, sometimes merging into one.
One song after another, they danced and spun — until in the end, they just held each other close, swaying gently to the music.
Then Lin Lang, as usual, managed to ruin the moment by joking:
“Fake CEO beach romances have a full live band, professional lighting, and cheer squads.”
“Real CEO beach dances have only a phone for music… and natural lighting from the sun.”
Gu Qingci glared at her, “Shut up!”
Why was she always the one ruining her own romantic moments?
But of course, Lin Lang didn’t shut up.
Facing Gu Qingci’s death glare, she lazily finished her joke:
“Good thing we have our shining President Gu to carry the scene. Otherwise, this whole setup would totally flop.”
“And our President Gu is just too charming,” she added with a soft kiss on Gu Qingci’s cheek, her voice lowering, “makes people want to…”
