My Wife is the Vicious Supporting Character from an Era Novel - Chapter 45.1
Chapter 45.1
Only Loves Her
When they heard Ji Baiqing’s voice, the two people in the corner froze.
Li Xiangdong took a step forward and said sharply, “Come out now!”
After he spoke, it was still silent. The people in the corner didn’t move.
“Or I’ll drag you out myself. You won’t like what happens then,” Li Xiangdong threatened.
After hearing this, in the corner, Lu Yan squeezed Shen Niannian’s hand hard. The two of them reluctantly stood up.
Seeing Ji Baiqing standing next to the village head, both Shen Niannian and Lu Yan were filled with hatred for her.
They followed Li Xiangdong out of the pigsty without a word. Once they were in an open area, Li Xiangdong’s large, fan-like palm landed on Lu Yan’s face with a loud smack.
A barely visible handprint appeared on the man’s wheat-colored face.
“What exactly are you trying to do? I can tolerate you being sly and deceitful, but now you’re trying to steal the village’s pigs?! How dare you!”
Lu Yan wiped his mouth, his eyes filled with venom as he looked at Li Xiangdong. “We didn’t,” he said, enunciating each word.
The only thing they could do now was deny Li Xiangdong’s accusations. They were lucky they had come too early and hadn’t had a chance to do anything yet. If they had been caught red-handed, they would have been sent to a labor farm for reform.
Shen Niannian looked at Lu Yan with concern. After hearing his words, she quickly added, “That’s right, Village Head. Did you misunderstand? How could we do such a thing?”
Li Xiangdong sneered, “It’s come to this, and you still won’t admit it, huh?”
“If you weren’t trying to steal pigs, what are you doing here so late?”
Shen Niannian choked on her words, unable to come up with an explanation. Lu Yan stepped in to save the situation.
“We were passing by tonight and saw that the pigs inside had all fainted, so we were just curious and came to take a look.”
He glanced at Ji Baiqing, a strange, eerie smile on his lips. “I wonder how Comrade Ji just happens to be here?”
Ji Baiqing was amused by his attempt to shift the blame. “Of course, I found it strange that the pigs weren’t making any noise, so I brought the village head to check. Who knew I would so coincidentally run into Comrade Shen and Comrade Lu.”
“By the way, what were you doing passing by here so late?” She glanced at the cornfield next to the pigsty, the meaning in her eyes obvious.
“Enough!” Li Xiangdong interrupted them, his face dark. “You’d better pray the pigs are okay, or the brigade won’t let you off easily.”
Even now, Lu Yan and his accomplice were determined to insist that they had done nothing. After all, they hadn’t had time to bring any tools, and the sedative they used on the pigs left no trace.
Lu Yan calmly replied, “Village Head, you’re being unfair. We’ve already said we didn’t do anything. These pigs are probably just tired. What could possibly be wrong?”
His words were said lightly, but his palms were sweating uncontrollably.
“I believe the village head will handle this impartially, won’t you? If there’s any misunderstanding, the leaders above will definitely be upset,” he said, his words full of hidden meaning.
Shen Niannian felt inexplicably at ease standing beside him.
Li Xiangdong was blocked by his words and felt his anger rising. Lu Yan had a powerful background, and he couldn’t afford to offend him.
Shen Niannian was someone Lu Yan was protecting, so he had to be careful with whatever he did.
“I’ll find someone to check first! If even one of the fifty-six pigs is missing, I’ll hold you two responsible!”
With that, he left without looking back, going to find the village’s “barefoot veterinarian” to see if the pigs were okay.
After he left, facing Ji Baiqing, the two of them dropped their false masks.
Lu Yan stared intensely at Ji Baiqing, his expression a little twisted.
“Ji Baiqing, why do you always have to go against us?”
Ji Baiqing met his gaze, shrugged, and countered, “Why do you always have to do such evil things?”
She smiled, but her eyes were cold. “I just love sticking my nose in other people’s business. You’d better hide your tails well and not let me find them.”
This time, it was Ji Baiqing’s fault for coming too early and not catching Lu Yan and Shen Niannian completely red-handed.
But it was also a good thing. If they had actually killed a pig, the village wouldn’t be able to make up for the deficit at the end of the year, and the villagers would be the ones to suffer.
There was no point in saying more. Ji Baiqing turned and walked home, ignoring the two of them.
The two who had gone mad should not dare to try again, or they wouldn’t be able to escape labor reform.
When she got home, Wen Miao had already showered. Her wet, long hair was pushed to one side, and she was towel-drying it.
Seeing Ji Baiqing return, she asked, “You’re back. What were you doing just now?”
Ji Baiqing told Wen Miao everything she had seen and thought about.
Hearing this, Wen Miao’s eyes widened in surprise.
“They’re actually that bold!”
Ji Baiqing frowned. “I think they’ve been blinded by the quick money.”
She didn’t understand. Didn’t Lu Yan come from a good family? How had he fallen to this point?
“But at least they didn’t succeed,” Wen Miao said, leaning back in her chair.
Seeing Ji Baiqing just standing there blankly, she reached out and poked her finger into the other’s lower abdomen.
“Hurry and go wash up.”
The lower abdomen was flat beneath her finger, and she could feel the smooth muscle lines.
She couldn’t resist. She lifted the shirt and placed her whole palm on it, stroking it.
Ji Baiqing felt a little ticklish from the soft hand. Her eyes slightly curved. She grabbed the beautiful woman’s mischievous hand through the fabric. “Okay, stop touching.”
Her voice was a little hoarse. “If you keep touching, I’ll start feeling something.”
Wen Miao’s expression froze, and she instantly pulled her hand away.
It was only after she watched her go into the washroom that she realized that no woman would get “feelings” just from having their abdomen touched.
Ji Baiqing’s sensitive spot wasn’t her abdomen!
How annoying! Ji Baiqing had lied to her again!!!
When Ji Baiqing came out after her shower, wiping her half-wet hair with a towel, she saw Wen Miao still pouting, her lips pursed in an angry expression. She immediately laughed.
She bent down, and the water droplets from her hair slid down her skin to her collarbone. They slowly went down, soaking into the white fabric of her shirt.
Some of the water droplets also splashed onto Wen Miao’s face. Their two beautiful pairs of eyes met, and Ji Baiqing affectionately nuzzled her nose.
“Are you still mad?”
She asked with a smile.
Wen Miao turned her face away, letting out an annoyed hum.
Ji Baiqing quickly cupped her face and turned her back.
“How can I make you not mad? My good wife, tell me.”
Wen Miao wasn’t that angry anymore, but she just wanted Ji Baiqing to coax her.
She opened her mouth, pretending to be fierce, and bit Ji Baiqing’s lip. She gently gnawed on it with her sharp teeth until it broke. When she pulled away, she didn’t forget to lick the wound, which was very considerate.
“You figure out how to make me not mad.”
Ji Baiqing pulled a stool beside them and sat down, propping up her face and crossing her legs as she looked at Wen Miao. She actually thought seriously for a while.
Finally, she blinked and looked at Wen Miao’s eyes with sincerity. “How about… wifey sits on my waist and grinds.”
After she said that, Wen Miao didn’t understand at first.
But the other’s gaze slowly fell on her lower body, the meaning in her eyes unspoken.
After understanding what she meant, Wen Miao bit her lip, her cheeks a fiery red.
The most shameful thing was that she actually felt her heart flutter.
Ji Baiqing had only said that to tease Wen Miao. Seeing her wife’s hesitant little eyes, she could tell she was struggling.
She looked a little mischievous. “No way, wifey. That’s so wild. Do you really want to do that?”
Wen Miao was stimulated by her teasing gaze and let out a light hum.
“Is that not allowed?”
This was too unfair to Ji Baiqing. She held out her hands, practically ready to be embraced.
“Of course it’s allowed.”
They hadn’t done it since the last time. Every time they were intimate, they hadn’t gone all the way.
The soundproofing of the house was too poor, and even a little bit of noise could be heard by others.
To be honest, if Wen Miao were to initiate, she would be anticipating it.
The beautiful woman was so enticing…
She touched her nose with her hand and was relieved to find that it wasn’t bleeding.
Ji Baiqing’s almond eyes were filled with affection as she looked at Wen Miao, her voice feigning a delicate weakness. “Wifey, please have your way with me.”
So unserious! Wen Miao glared at her.
But after a while, she couldn’t help but lower her head and think, her eyelashes fluttering like butterfly wings about to take flight.
After admiring the beauty’s shy expression for a while, Ji Baiqing stretched, got up, and poured a cup of water, putting it in the room.
When she came out again, she touched Wen Miao’s long hair. It was almost dry.
Her voice held a hint of excitement. “Zhenzhen, it’s time for bed.”
Wen Miao: “…”
She bit her lip and couldn’t help but glare at Ji Baiqing again.
She had once thought that Ji Baiqing was gentle and reliable. Now she knew she was mistaken.
She was clearly the worst, and she loved to tease her.
After complaining in her heart, Wen Miao finally gave a muffled hum of agreement.
After moving the stools back into the room and closing the door, Wen Miao’s eyes widened slightly.
Why was the kerosene lamp still so bright when they were about to go to bed?
It almost illuminated the entire room.
When Wen Miao was about to extinguish the lamp, Ji Baiqing stopped her.
“Zhenzhen, don’t turn off the lamp. I lit it on purpose.”
Wen Miao: “…Why did you light the lamp?”
Ji Baiqing’s eyes were fixed on Wen Miao, and she admitted frankly, “I want to watch you.”
“…” Wen Miao knew she was being a little obvious, but when Ji Baiqing actually admitted it, her face flushed again. She was so shy that she had nowhere to hide under the other’s gaze.
She clutched the fabric of her collar and said slowly, “I’ve changed my mind. Is it too late?”
Ji Baiqing’s eyes held a hint of a threat, and her voice was a little menacing. “What do you think, my good wife?”
Wen Miao’s legs instantly went a little weak when she heard her voice. She had no choice but to slowly inch toward the bed step by step. Before she could climb to the inner side of the bed past Ji Baiqing, Ji Baiqing hooked her waist and pulled her onto her body.
Their soft bodies were pressed close. As their eyes met, Wen Miao nervously licked her lips. As if possessed, she leaned in and kissed Ji Baiqing’s lips.
They shared a passionate but not-so-gentle kiss.
To be honest, Wen Miao loved kissing.
Whether it was a fiery kiss or a soft one, she felt like a person in a drought meeting a downpour. Every time they kissed, she felt her body relax, and she was surrounded by the love given to her by her partner.
She didn’t have to worry about anything else; she only had to think about her partner.
It wasn’t until Ji Baiqing pulled back that Wen Miao instinctively chased after her for another kiss.
Ji Baiqing affectionately pressed her lips against hers, her voice soft and hoarse.
“Baby, didn’t you say you wanted to sit on my waist…”
After hearing the term of endearment, Wen Miao’s ears heated up again.
She mumbled, “Don’t call me baby.”
She was an adult. She wasn’t a baby.
Ji Baiqing saw that the expression on her wife’s face was one of shyness, not disgust. She thought she was cute, and the smile in her eyes deepened. She called her again. “No, I’m going to call you baby.”
“Baby, Zhenzhen, Older Sister, my good wife.” She mumbled a variety of names in a loving and tender voice.
