Obsessive Pleasure - Chapter 22
Even though it was the weekend, Chen Yang had no intention of lingering.
After they finished lunch and tidied up, he came over and gave Liang Yun a perfunctory hug. “I’m leaving. I’ll call you next time.”
Liang Yun’s heart suddenly felt hollow, but she habitually and quickly put up her facade, demonstrating the composure expected of a casual playmate. “Sure. If I don’t reply, I might be busy.”
Her pride made it impossible to appear needy in front of Chen Yang. This game was destined from the start: the first one to show genuine feeling would be the true slave.
Chen Yang closed the door quietly as he left.
The moment the lock clicked shut, Liang Yun felt as though her own heart had been heavily closed off as well.
She sat listlessly on the living room sofa for a long time. She noticed the sofa cushion had been swapped out; the one she had soaked the night before must have been tossed into the washing machine by Chen Yang.
She got up and walked to the kitchen, opening the dishwasher to see the stainless steel spatula lying quietly inside.
Liang Yun suddenly felt a need to fill her mind with something. She opened the cabinet and drawers storing the cookware and impulsively began to load the pots and pans into the dishwasher. The last items she threw in were the two wooden and nylon spatulas.
Washing them means preparing for next time, right?
But when will ‘next time’ be?
Liang Yun felt a pang of disappointment: When Chen Yang was near, he was always like a ball of fire, scorching her whole body until even her breathing stalled. Yet, when he withdrew, he was always so cold and detached, unwilling to easily offer even the hope of a future.
The last session was years before this one. What about the next?
The wait seemed endless.
In the many days that followed, the encounter slowly faded into something like a faint, unreal dream.
Liang Yun stared at her inactive phone, stubbornly refusing to contact Chen Yang first.
Although he had told her she could reach out whenever she had a need, Liang Yun felt that initiating contact would instantly put her in a submissive position.
I’m busy too, you know! I don’t have time for you yet!
She had completely stopped taking Xipu Miao. The insomnia was gone, but her nighttime dreams were persistent.
In her dreams, he would land a warm, moist, and tender kiss in the middle of a punishment. After he took her in a storm of frenzy, he would hold her tightly, watching her body burn from the inside out until she was nothing but glowing embers.
Liang Yun couldn’t resist sending Chen Yang a message on the day she received the news that the company was sending her to N City for a business trip.
“I’ll be gone for a week this time.”
Chen Yang replied almost instantly. “Have a smooth trip. Let me know when you arrive.”
The slight glimmer of hope Liang Yun had held in her heart vanished. She had hoped he might suggest they meet before she left.
She tossed her phone into the luggage she was packing and stubbornly refused to look at it again.
The project she was going to negotiate was with a prestigious 985 university in the area. They had just established an overseas training department and wanted to collaborate with Liang Yun’s company on intensive short-term education programs lasting one to three months.
Liang Yun was puzzled. Given the caliber of a 985 university’s faculty, why did they need to fly her team all that way to discuss cooperation? Were their own personnel insufficient, or were there no other training institutions nearby?
It wasn’t until the plane that a senior executive mentioned the name “General Manager Chen” that she realized the truth.
Chen Bin was an alumnus of that university and still had investments in several laboratories there.
During a client follow-up survey, Liang Yun’s company discovered that Chen Bin spoke highly of her, a stark contrast to his earlier capricious attitude when providing input for the preliminary plan.
They didn’t know how Liang Yun managed to charm Chen Bin, a major client, but as a business focused on profit, management certainly wouldn’t miss such an opportunity.
The higher-ups immediately contacted Chen Bin, hoping to use his executive training course as a chance to extend an olive branch to other interested departments and build a client relationship network.
Chen Bin didn’t hesitate; he immediately introduced this university cooperation opportunity to them and specifically requested that Liang Yun be put in charge.
Generally, when several profitable projects are centralized under one person’s name, that person is not far from a promotion.
Chen Bin had a good scheme: Whose hands are the resources under his command going into anyway? By letting Liang Yun know he was the one who elevated her step by step to the highest levels of the company, he could bring up other matters later. Then, let’s see if she would still dare to put on such a frosty face every day?
📝 Author-nim’s Thoughts (Not a Skit) 📝
I just replied to a reader’s comment today and got a little emotional, so I said a bit extra. Thinking about it, comments can easily get buried, so I’ll share a few more thoughts here. (Friends who disagree, please be gracious, go out the door, and turn left. Happy reading! I don’t want to argue.)
That lovely reader mentioned that the BDSM story I wrote didn’t feel “uncomfortable” but was “sweet,” which truly touched me!
The essence of the S/M dynamic is mutual service; both parties should feel “comfortable.”
The true dominator of the dynamic is actually the M. All the S’s authority and power are granted by the M. The M’s voluntary submission is the core of the dynamic.
As the saying goes, “Kneel as a slave, rise as a friend.”
However, many people nowadays (mostly male Ss) enter the community to deceive partners or for casual encounters, lacking a good sense of responsibility. They can only be called fake S’s.
There’s also a trend of younger female M’s. I hope the girls can be psychologically mature and strong, and keep their eyes open.
If an online dynamic starts with immediate vulgar language or requests for private photos, you can directly click ‘X’ and ignore them.
For in-person meetings, it’s better to meet first in a public place with many people around.
A good S always prioritizes the protection of their M. Most reputable Ss are very low-key and would never be recognizable in their daily lives or work.
It’s better to steer clear of an “S” who walks with a strut, wears a domineering CEO expression, and practically wears tight leather underwear on the outside like a fake Superman.
I hope that the characters Chen Yang and Liang Yun, penned by me, can present a relatively positive image of players in the community.
In fact, this is not so different from the interest in stimulating activities like rock climbing or skydiving, it’s just a personal hobby.
Any forced sadism or manipulation that violates an individual’s will goes against the SSC principle (Safe, Sane, Consensual) of BDSM.
This blame should not be shifted onto the BDSM community.
Love you all.
