Omega, Always Wants to Mark Me - Chapter 1
I’ve been honest, please forgive me!
The night was dark, the moon a distant glimmer in the starry sky. Faint moonlight streamed through the gap in the curtains, stirred by the evening breeze, illuminating the room. The first thing that caught the eye was a pristine white bed. Even on a summer night, the air hung heavy with stifling heat.
At least, that’s how Ming Xiaoyue felt as she turned over, her entire body burning with feverish heat. Sweat poured from her relentlessly, soaking the ends of her hair.
Her chest felt heavy and constricted. Half-dreaming, half-awake, she sensed the gland at the nape of her neck throbbing violently, as if about to burst through something.
“Ugh!” She gasped in the darkness, a sharp cry of pain escaping her lips. After shaking off the suffocating heat, she suddenly snapped her eyes open, staring up at the pale ceiling bathed in moonlight.
“Huff, huff,” she gasped for breath. What…?
Ming Xiaoyue’s memories flooded back. She vaguely recalled filming an underwater scene on set.
Her last clear memory was of suddenly feeling like she was drowning. Her body instinctively struggled violently in the water until a sudden cramp seized her calf.
Then came the sensation of her body gradually sinking, the air thinning, the stinging pain as water flooded her lungs, and the fading of consciousness…
Where am I now?
Before Ming Xiaoyue could fully process her thoughts, a sudden, sharp pain struck her head, as if she’d been struck with a club. The pain radiated to her most vulnerable glands, causing them to throb with agony.
Slowly, Ming Xiaoyue sat up, cradling her head in her hands.
“It hurts so much…” she murmured, groaning softly. This wasn’t the first time she’d experienced such pain.
As she grew older, Ming Xiaoyue, who had never been marked, endured each heat cycle like a trial by fire.
Even medical examinations revealed that her pheromones had become severely disrupted due to long-term inhibitor use.
The doctor had warned her bluntly: “If you don’t find a highly compatible Alpha to mark you soon, your body will succumb to the pheromonal chaos during your next heat cycle, and you’ll die.”
For Ming Xiaoyue, who had never believed in fate, the doctor’s words held little weight. Yet each subsequent heat cycle grew increasingly unbearable.
For Ming Xiaoyue, who was determined to be an independent Omega, being marked by an Alpha was worse than death. She resolved then and there that even if her erratic heat cycles led to her demise, she would never allow any Alpha to mark her.
Before she could fully grasp her current situation, a sudden touch—cold and firm—on her arm snapped her back to reality.
Ming Xiaoyue’s heart sank, her eyes narrowing with a flicker of suspicion.
Before the person could approach further, she seized their hand with a forceful grip, swiftly twisting and pinning them to the ground in a practiced maneuver.
“Who is it?” she demanded in a low voice, her words punctuated by the sharp crack of an inhibitor vial shattering on the floor.
Beneath her, Ming Xiaoyue could feel the curves of a woman’s body. But when she glanced down, she saw only long, dark hair obscuring the woman’s face.
But the next moment, a familiar yet strangely unfamiliar, clear voice drifted up from beneath her.
“Ming Xiaoyue… huff… you’re in heat.”
After these words, Ming Xiaoyue distinctly felt the woman beneath her begin to struggle slightly, as if trying to break free from her restraint.
Amidst a thousand thoughts, a hazy figure flashed through Ming Xiaoyue’s mind.
With a hint of uncertainty, she asked, “Lu Jinxi?”
The struggling ceased. A muffled reply came, “Mm.”
“Heh,” Ming Xiaoyue scoffed, her voice reacting before her mind could process. With a swift motion, she brushed aside the strands of hair obscuring Lu Jinxi’s face.
Beneath lay a delicate, oval face with smooth, flowing lines. The curve of her jaw was perfectly defined, and beneath long, downward-sweeping lashes, her eyes resembled deep, fathomless lakes.
Her irises were a profound black, her nose straight and elegant, and her lips full and lush.
The moment Ming Xiaoyue saw Lu Jinxi’s face—both familiar and strangely unfamiliar—her jaw clenched, and a burning hatred gnawed at her heart.
In her entire life, Ming Xiaoyue had few enemies. Lu Jinxi was one of them.
If you asked Ming Xiaoyue about Lu Jinxi, she could rant for three days and three nights, pouring out all the woman’s misdeeds. Their tangled love-hate relationship began when they were trainees in the same dance troupe, competing for a spot in the debut lineup.
Back then, both were relatively unknown. Lu Jinxi had first approached Ming Xiaoyue, then seduced her into forming a CP, successfully binding them together.
Just as their popularity soared and they landed a duo music video shoot, Ming Xiaoyue believed her debut was within reach. She naively trusted Lu Jinxi’s apparent kindness and confessed her feelings first.
What she received in return was Lu Jinxi’s rejection. Lu Jinxi abandoned their debut plans, stepping over Ming Xiaoyue to pursue a solo career abroad, eventually becoming a globally renowned international film queen.
After this betrayal, Ming Xiaoyue unilaterally declared a feud with Lu Jinxi.
But since Lu Jinxi remained overseas, Ming Xiaoyue never had the chance to exact her revenge.
Though she didn’t know why Lu Jinxi was here now, sharing a room with her, the years of buried resentment erupted. Ming Xiaoyue felt an overwhelming urge to demand something back from Lu Jinxi.
Ming Xiaoyue’s thoughts churned, the darkness in her eyes undisguised.
“What are you doing here?” Ming Xiaoyue felt she needed to clarify the situation, especially since she clearly remembered Lu Jinxi being an Alpha.
An Alpha sneaking into an Omega’s room in the dead of night? Ming Xiaoyue scoffed inwardly.
“You’re in heat,” Lu Jinxi said, already feeling enveloped by the sweet, citrus-scented pheromones. Yet Ming Xiaoyue showed none of the typical signs of an Omega in heat.
Even after Lu Jinxi revealed her identity, Ming Xiaoyue’s grip remained firm, showing no sign of weakening.
Perhaps it was Lu Jinxi’s imagination, but she felt Ming Xiaoyue’s strength had actually increased. Even the gaze directed at her from behind carried a distinctly unfriendly edge.
As for why Lu Jinxi was here, it all began five minutes earlier when she faintly detected the familiar citrus scent from the adjacent room.
Following the trail of sweet citrus pheromones, she had arrived at Ming Xiaoyue’s door.
As for why she was able to open Ming Xiaoyue’s door, she had memorized the password Ming Xiaoyue had confessed to her two days prior, reciting it backward and forward in her mind.
What Lu Jinxi hadn’t anticipated was that Ming Xiaoyue’s condition was far more severe than she had imagined. The moment she opened the door, an overwhelming, sweet citrus pheromone assaulted her senses, triggering a reaction in Lu Jinxi.
Logically, leaving immediately would have been the best course of action. But Lu Jinxi knew all too well that if news of a public Omega going into heat at a hotel were to leak, it could severely damage Ming Xiaoyue’s future career.
That’s why Lu Jinxi had initially planned to administer an inhibitor. However, the moment she approached Ming Xiaoyue, she found herself pinned beneath her.
Lu Jinxi had heard the sound of the inhibitor shattering, but what truly set off alarm bells was the sweet citrus scent that now enveloped her completely.
Hidden from Ming Xiaoyue’s view, Lu Jinxi’s marking teeth had already begun to protrude slightly. Yet her restrained hands gripped the bedsheets tightly, showing no inclination to reciprocate Ming Xiaoyue’s transgressions.
Just then, Ming Xiaoyue seemed to lean closer, and Lu Jinxi could feel the unique citrus scent assaulting her senses with renewed intensity.
The insistent signals of the mark relentlessly battered Lu Jinxi’s rationality. “Ugh,” Lu Jinxi swallowed, her throat dry, but her body remained instinctively tormented. She was on the verge of tearing the bedsheets to shreds.
Just then, a delicate white hand appeared in her vision. Before Lu Jinxi could struggle, Ming Xiaoyue’s fingertip had already touched the mark on Lu Jinxi’s canine.
In the darkness, the Alpha’s unique marking tooth, small yet razor-sharp, gleamed. Ming Xiaoyue gazed down at the Alpha beneath her, who seemed devoid of reason, like a wild beast. A scornful smile played on her lips as she retorted, “Lu Jinxi, are you sure it’s not you who’s in heat?”
Lu Jinxi felt the gland beneath the inhibitor patch on her nape throb violently. Her pheromones surged, reckless and desperate, straining to break through the patch and erupt outward.
But thankfully, Lu Jinxi retained a sliver of rationality, managing to restrain her marking tooth from biting down.
“Ming… huff… Xiaoyue… get off… huff… me… I…” Lu Jinxi gasped, her eyes already bloodshot as desire relentlessly devoured her reason.
Her body, forcibly suppressing its instincts, screamed in protest. Lu Jinxi could even feel her pheromones rampaging through her like a wild beast, tearing through her veins…
“And what if I don’t get off? What are you going to do? Hmm?” Ming Xiaoyue taunted, showing not a trace of the Omega’s typical fear of Alphas.
As she spoke, Ming Xiaoyue’s nails had already crept to the back of Lu Jinxi’s neck. With a gentle lift of the collar, a bitter citrus scent, as sharp as unripe tangerines, escaped, a stark contrast to Ming Xiaoyue’s own sweet, tangerine-like pheromone.
Ming Xiaoyue clicked her tongue in annoyance, feeling cursed. She hadn’t expected Lu Jinxi to share her citrus-scented pheromone.
“Mmm…”
As Ming Xiaoyue’s fingertips danced around Lu Jinxi’s gland, Lu Jinxi couldn’t help but let out a soft moan. It was only then that Ming Xiaoyue caught a faint whiff of Alpha pheromone, triggering Lu Jinxi’s Omega body to surge into heat like a tidal wave.
Ming Xiaoyue’s eyes had already become bloodshot. The moment Lu Jinxi’s body went limp, her first thought was, This is bad. At that moment, Lu Jinxi clearly sensed Ming Xiaoyue’s momentary lapse in focus.
With a sudden twist, Lu Jinxi tried to throw Ming Xiaoyue off her. But as she turned, she realized Ming Xiaoyue had already peeled off her inhibitor patch. Then, sharp teeth sank into her neck.
Whether Alpha or Omega, the instinctual fear of having one’s gland attacked by a foreign object was primal. Lu Jinxi suppressed the urge to grab Ming Xiaoyue and hurl her away, instead gripping Ming Xiaoyue’s slender shoulders tightly.
“Hah… hah…”
As pheromones foreign to her body flooded her system, Lu Jinxi struggled to describe the sensation.
The two pheromonal streams intertwined, probed, and then merged. Gradually, Lu Jinxi’s limbs weakened, and she sank back onto the bed.
But Ming Xiaoyue, behind her, refused to relent. She pressed harder, as if determined to inject every excess drop of pheromones from her own body into Lu Jinxi’s.
What made it even more unbearable for Lu Jinxi was that as the foreign pheromones gradually swept through her, a slow, burning heat of desire began to stir within her…
“Ming… Xiaoyue… you should… hah… stop… hah…” Lu Jinxi gasped, but Ming Xiaoyue only bit down harder. A wave of passion surged through her body, forcing Lu Jinxi to arch her neck in agony. Her hands clenched the sheets once more, veins bulging at her temples, her body trembling uncontrollably…
She lost track of time. Lu Jinxi felt as if Ming Xiaoyue’s teeth were about to pierce through the gland at the back of her neck. Her body lay limp like a broken machine, barely able to move, yet an indescribable pleasure kept her trembling relentlessly…
