Omega, Always Wants to Mark Me - Chapter 2
I’m being honest now, please forgive me!
“Huff… huff…” In the darkness, someone’s heavy breathing echoed.
“Sorry, I thought you were going to mark me, so…” Ming Xiaoyue’s words trailed off, her casual tone betraying no hint of remorse.
But Lu Jinxi’s mind was now a complete blur, unable to process what had happened. Being reverse-marked by an Omega for the first time, she felt a wave of exhaustion wash over her the moment Ming Xiaoyue instinctively licked her gland.
Coupled with the pheromones she had longed for day and night now enveloping her and mingling within her body, Lu Jinxi suddenly fainted.
“Hmm?” Ming Xiaoyue curiously shook Lu Jinxi beneath her, but the Alpha showed no reaction.
Ming Xiaoyue had heard rumors that some Alphas forcedly marked by Omegas could die due to pheromone incompatibility.
She admitted she hated Lu Jinxi, but her crimes didn’t warrant death…
“Lu Jinxi? Are you okay?” Ming Xiaoyue said, turning Lu Jinxi over. Seeing her steady breathing, she finally let out a sigh of relief.
As the moonlight illuminated Lu Jinxi’s face, Ming Xiaoyue could see her delicate, slightly flushed cheeks and the serene stillness of her closed eyes. Without the sharp, commanding presence that had earned her the title of “Number One Female Alpha” among her fans, she looked almost vulnerable.
Ming Xiaoyue was certain she found Lu Jinxi’s looks appealing, but…
“Hmph,” Ming Xiaoyue scoffed coldly. After clawing her way through the entertainment industry in her previous life, she was no longer the naive young Omega who could be easily swayed by an Alpha’s sweet words or trivial acts of courtesy.
Besides, Ming Xiaoyue thought, turning to pick up a tissue from the bedside table to wipe her mouth, leaving a few faint crimson marks on the tissue.
She tossed the tissue onto the floor with a disdainful flick of her wrist, glaring down at Lu Jinxi, who lay half-sprawled on the bed.
This was still Lu Jinxi, the woman who had used her as a stepping stone in her previous life.
Ming Xiaoyue felt no remorse whatsoever for reverse-marking Lu Jinxi. She believed Lu Jinxi deserved it.
This was Ming Xiaoyue’s first time marking someone else, and she found it difficult to describe the physical pleasure. At the very least, she didn’t find it unpleasant. Moreover, the sensation of complete physical and mental bliss was the polar opposite of the constant suppression of her heat cycles with inhibitors.
It was like heaven and hell. Ming Xiaoyue began to understand why so many Omegas were obsessed with being marked.
Hmph, Ming Xiaoyue thought, a glint of determination flashing in her eyes. Even so, I’ll never allow any Alpha to mark me!
Of course, she needed to figure out what was going on—why Lu Jinxi was in the country.
Though exhausted from her heat cycle, her body screaming for rest after the massive energy expenditure, Ming Xiaoyue dragged herself out of bed, determined to uncover the truth.
As she stood, she belatedly realized her body had reached its functional limit.
Like a machine suddenly unplugged, even the short walk across the room felt almost unbearable.
Ming Xiaoyue loathed her Omega body, precisely because it was the antithesis of an Alpha’s boundless energy during heat.
Due to the fatigue and recovery periods associated with Omega heat cycles, societal prejudice against Omegas was widespread, with many industries refusing to hire them.
The prejudices in people’s hearts were like a towering mountain. They never mentioned the bestial desires of Alphas during their heat cycles, focusing only on the perceived physical weakness of Omegas.
This led to the conclusion that Omegas could only survive by relying on Alphas.
Yet Ming Xiaoyue, both in her previous life and this one, refused to submit.
As she picked up the script from the sofa, her eyes narrowed slightly. Had she been reborn?
The script clearly displayed the year 2018, glaringly obvious.
As hazy memories resurfaced, Ming Xiaoyue vaguely recalled that it was around this time in her previous life that Lu Jinxi had been aggressively promoting their CP, leading to the invitation to film this duet music video.
Then, the naive and innocent young Ming Xiaoyue, believing her debut was within reach and deceived by Lu Jinxi’s outward behavior, had actually confessed her feelings.
But after days of agonizing anticipation, Lu Jinxi had gently rejected her the day before the MV shoot—tomorrow morning.
In her previous life, Ming Xiaoyue couldn’t understand why Lu Jinxi, despite disliking her, kept provoking her. Even the CP pairing had been Lu Jinxi’s doing, gradually infiltrating Ming Xiaoyue’s defenses with various acts of kindness until she lowered her guard, only to be bound into a CP.
But after years of clawing her way through the entertainment industry, Ming Xiaoyue knew all too well the classic truth: life is a stage, and it’s all about acting!
Especially in the chaotic melting pot of the entertainment world, climbing to the top requires exploiting every resource around you, by any means necessary.
Ming Xiaoyue vaguely recalled how, in her previous life, Lu Jinxi’s rejection had led her to quit the MV shoot. She could easily imagine Lu Jinxi abandoning her debut, using Ming Xiaoyue as a stepping stone to go solo abroad, achieve massive success, and even become an international film queen.
At this thought, ten thousand Cao Nima galloped through Ming Xiaoyue’s mind. Meanwhile, her own ranking plummeted, crushing her hopes of debuting.
But now, Ming Xiaoyue’s lips suddenly curled into a smirk. Heh, it’s just a music video, isn’t it?
Pah! Ming Xiaoyue thought fiercely. I’m a domestic film queen with a grand slam of awards! Who the hell do you think you are, Lu Jinxi? This is just a contest of acting skills, right? Watch me drain you dry this time and secure my debut!
As Ming Xiaoyue thought this, her malevolent gaze unconsciously drifted toward Lu Jinxi on the bed.
“We’ll see,” Ming Xiaoyue murmured, grinding her back teeth. She could still faintly taste Lu Jinxi’s sweet, bloody tang in her mouth, but none of that mattered now.
Everything could start anew. Ming Xiaoyue resolved to avoid past mistakes.
At dawn, when the scorching sunlight struck Lu Jinxi’s face, she groggily opened her eyes, only to squint against the glare.
As her thoughts coalesced, she suddenly bolted upright, scanning the unfamiliar suite.
Seeing the unfamiliar surroundings, Lu Jinxi secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
But before she could fully exhale, the sunlight streaming into the main room made her heart sink.
Always meticulous about time, Lu Jinxi scrambled to her feet, ignoring the throbbing pain in her neck glands and the strange sensations in her body.
She hurried out of Ming Xiaoyue’s room and into the adjacent hotel suite of the same layout. After quickly tidying herself up, she rushed to the theater.
Fortunately, the music video shoot was taking place on the beach just below the hotel. Even so, by the time Lu Jinxi arrived, the other cast members had already been there for quite some time.
The first person to confront her was her manager, who approached with a low growl: “Lu Jinxi! You actually showed up! Filming starts at 9 AM, and you arrive at 8:58 AM? You’re cutting it way too close! Couldn’t you have come earlier to meet with the director? If you hadn’t arrived, I was about to drag you out of your room myself!”
“Sorry,” Lu Jinxi mumbled dismissively, her eyes darting around, searching for the figure that haunted her thoughts.
Sensing Lu Jinxi’s disregard, the manager’s anger flared anew. But before she could unleash another tirade, the director, who had finished adjusting the equipment, barked, “Hey, you over there! Get in position! Stop dawdling around all day!”
As Lu Jinxi moved toward the camera’s focal point, she finally spotted Ming Xiaoyue perched on a seaside rock. Ming Xiaoyue’s slender frame possessed a perfect balance of delicate curves.
Her white dress clung to her figure, accentuating her slender waist, which seemed small enough to encircle with one hand. The skirt fluttered gently in the breeze, rising and falling with each gust.
The dress revealed her long, straight legs, their porcelain-like skin appearing even more luminous against the white fabric, as smooth and flawless as fine jade.
Her palm-sized face glowed with a delicate pink blush. Her bright, clear eyes sparkled with warmth and mischief, curving into crescent moons when she smiled.
A petite, straight nose and slightly rosy lips resembled a luscious, dew-kissed cherry, naturally vibrant and radiating an alluring sheen.
Her long, silky hair cascaded down her shoulders like a waterfall…
As Lu Jinxi gazed at her, an unexpected urge to cry welled up within her. Fortunately, her accidental emotional surge proved serendipitous; the director, caught off guard by Lu Jinxi’s sudden composure, had already begun filming.
As Lu Jinxi drew closer, Ming Xiaoyue looked up, their eyes meeting.
Lu Jinxi instinctively froze, hesitating to take another step forward, as if she had drawn an invisible line around herself, trapping herself in place.
“Director, this seems a bit different from the script,” an assistant whispered, holding up the script.
“Shut up! This is brilliant! This is what a long-awaited reunion should look like. What kind of Alpha would immediately embrace and mark an Omega they haven’t seen in ages? Who wrote this garbage script?!”
The director, still ranting, flung aside the script his assistant offered and focused intently on the two actresses through the camera lens.
Ming Xiaoyue clearly sensed that Lu Jinxi’s performance deviated from the script, yet remained within its overall framework. A flicker of surprise crossed Ming Xiaoyue’s eyes.
After all, she had never acted with Lu Jinxi in her previous life. Yet in this scene, she found herself evenly matched, sparking a sense of encountering a worthy opponent.
Could Lu Jinxi truly possess such extraordinary talent for acting?
Driven by professional instinct, Ming Xiaoyue continued filming, knowing she had to keep going until the director called cut.
Following the script, Lu Jinxi was supposed to pounce on Ming Xiaoyue the moment she saw her. Ming Xiaoyue’s character, like a water sprite, was meant to glide around the reef, desperately trying to conceal her mark as if playing hide-and-seek with Lu Jinxi.
However, when Lu Jinxi saw Ming Xiaoyue’s retreating figure vanish from sight, she instinctively took a step forward, as if to pursue her, yet maintained a deliberate distance.
Sensing Lu Jinxi’s deviation from the script, Ming Xiaoyue had no choice but to reverse course and collide with her. On the sandy beach, Lu Jinxi was suddenly knocked to the ground by Ming Xiaoyue’s full-bodied impact.
“Ugh!” Lu Jinxi groaned in pain, but her first instinct was to protect Ming Xiaoyue, who had fallen with her.
As the familiar scent enveloped her, Lu Jinxi’s body reacted before her mind could catch up. A faint trace of pheromones leaked from her pores, and she instinctively reached for the inhibitor patch on the back of her neck.
Ming Xiaoyue, who had been deeply marked just yesterday, immediately sensed the change. She stared down at Lu Jinxi beneath her in shock.
“Cut! Camera Two, adjust your angle to capture their lower bodies. You two, hold that position—the emotion is perfect. Just maintain it!” the Director called out, unable to resist interrupting the scene.
“Okay, Director!” Ming Xiaoyue replied sweetly, her smile so radiant that even the Director’s expression softened slightly.
But Lu Jinxi, pinned beneath Ming Xiaoyue, was far from comfortable. Her reaction had been too intense, and the faint marks of the marking teeth threatened to resurface. Her mind inexplicably flashed back to the previous night.
In the darkness, Ming Xiaoyue had whispered mockingly, “Lu Jinxi, are you sure you’re not the one going into heat?”
