In her panic, Ming Xiaoyue’s hand slipped, and the desk lamp fell to the floor with a thud!
Luo Hong, however, seemed completely unsurprised by her resistance. He approached with a leering smile, a tripod in his hand.
“You didn’t really think I’d believe you, did you, sweetheart?” he said, already setting up the camera. “Omegas like you are the most cunning. But it doesn’t matter. Once I’ve filmed everything, you’ll have no choice but to submit obediently, no matter how much you resist.”
As the red recording light flickered on, Ming Xiaoyue steeled herself. She bit her tongue, regaining a sliver of rationality. Reaching under the bed, she retrieved a shard of glass from the broken lamp. She knew this was her only chance—success or death.
Then came Luo Hong’s approaching footsteps and her own ragged breathing.
In the darkness, Ming Xiaoyue seized her moment. She lunged, but the Alpha’s body was no match for her. Luo Hong reacted instantly, grabbing her slender arm in a vise-like grip.
Ming Xiaoyue gritted her teeth and increased her strength. Luo Hong hurriedly countered with equal force. As another wave of heat surged through her, she inwardly cursed her predicament.
True to form, her Omega body began to betray her, its strength draining away.
Luo Hongzhi, his victory assured, taunted, “Darling, if you keep this up, I won’t hold back!”
With a swift twist of his wrist, the shard of glass fell from Ming Xiaoyue’s hand. She squeezed her eyes shut as Luo Hong’s body loomed over her.
She never imagined that the cunning and resourcefulness she had used to escape similar situations in her previous life would fail her so miserably on the second day of her rebirth.
Fueled by resentment, she mustered her last reserves of strength and kicked Luo Hong off her.
“Ugh!” Luo Hong groaned in pain, his face twisting with malice. “You fucking b1tch—”
Before he could finish his curse, a heavy blow struck the back of his head, knocking him unconscious to the floor.
In the darkness, Ming Xiaoyue lifted her head slightly and recognized a familiar figure.
Lu Jinxi’s concerned voice reached her first: “Ming Xiaoyue, are you alright?”
Ming Xiaoyue felt dizzy and lightheaded, the back of her neck burning as if torn open, her pheromones exploding outward.
As her consciousness faded, Ming Xiaoyue didn’t miss the desire in Lu Jinxi’s eyes.
“Huff, huff.” Lu Jinxi had, of course, smelled it—the uniquely sweet scent of an Omega washing over her.
In the dark night, a few gusts of hot sea breeze drifted through the window, but they couldn’t disperse the overwhelming pheromone scent filling the room.
Lu Jinxi’s eyes burned red. Whether it was because Ming Xiaoyue had reverse-marked her twice before, she found Ming Xiaoyue’s pheromones exceptionally sweet.
She had already taken an Omega Inhibitor before coming here, precisely to avoid this situation. Knowing this place wasn’t safe to linger, Lu Jinxi, while still in control, scooped Ming Xiaoyue into her arms and carried her out of the room.
Entering her own room next door, Lu Jinxi hurriedly laid Ming Xiaoyue on the bed. But before she could grab the inhibitor, Ming Xiaoyue, somehow regaining strength, wrapped herself around Lu Jinxi.
Sensing something was wrong, Lu Jinxi gazed into Ming Xiaoyue’s dazed eyes and tentatively called out, “Ming Xiaoyue?”
The words had barely left Lu Jinxi’s lips when Ming Xiaoyue’s hand began tracing up her chest, her breath hot against Lu Jinxi’s skin.
Lu Jinxi swallowed involuntarily, but when Ming Xiaoyue’s fingertips brushed against her lips, she froze, afraid to move.
“Ming Xiaoyue, are you conscious?” Lu Jinxi asked tentatively, unsure.
Instead of answering, Ming Xiaoyue’s fingers slipped inside Lu Jinxi’s mouth. Lu Jinxi quickly clamped down her teeth, but her marking canines involuntarily peeked out.
Ming Xiaoyue’s deepening touch disrupted Lu Jinxi’s breathing. She swallowed again, but Ming Xiaoyue’s fingers followed, nearly gagging her.
The glands beneath the inhibitor patch on Lu Jinxi’s nape pulsed violently. Her nerves taut, she watched Ming Xiaoyue inch closer, her movements slow and deliberate, feeling the thread of her rationality fraying with each passing moment.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Lu Jinxi wondered if her inhibitor had worn off. Why else would she feel this overwhelming urge to pin Ming Xiaoyue down and mark her?
Huff, huff! In the sweltering heat, Lu Jinxi’s breath grew ragged. Unable to endure any longer, she shoved Ming Xiaoyue away and strode to the table, frantically searching for a fresh inhibitor.
First, the Alpha’s inhibitor. Lu Jinxi tore open the patch, ready to inject it, when she realized Ming Xiaoyue had followed her.
Lu Jinxi felt something soft press against her rigid back.
Her breath trembled slightly as Ming Xiaoyue’s fingertips brushed against her scent gland, gently stroking it. Lu Jinxi hesitated, unsure how to inject the inhibitor without accidentally hurting Ming Xiaoyue.
“Ming Xiaoyue, what’s wrong?” Lu Jinxi whispered, sensing something was off with Ming Xiaoyue.
Then came a wetness on her scent gland—a soft, languid tongue licking it. Lu Jinxi’s legs nearly buckled, but she managed to steady herself by bracing her hand against the sofa.
Yet Ming Xiaoyue’s body continued to entwine with hers. Lu Jinxi felt her nerves thrumming wildly. If this continued, she couldn’t guarantee what might happen. Her marking teeth had already begun to emerge.
Gritting her teeth, Lu Jinxi hissed, “Ming Xiaoyue! Don’t push me… huff, huff.”
But before the words had even left her lips, Ming Xiaoyue’s lithe body had already coiled around her. Her hands, as soft as water, draped around Lu Jinxi’s neck, and her body began to unconsciously grind against hers.
Whether it was Lu Jinxi’s heightened awareness or something else, she could even feel a dampness seeping through her pants.
Lu Jinxi turned halfway, her gaze landing on Ming Xiaoyue. As expected, a trickle of moisture was flowing down the hem of her short nightgown.
Now Lu Jinxi was certain: Ming Xiaoyue was definitely not herself.
Just then, Ming Xiaoyue pressed down on her, forcing Lu Jinxi to lie back. Her hands fumbled wildly, trying to tear open Lu Jinxi’s collar.
Afraid of hurting Ming Xiaoyue, Lu Jinxi could only weakly try to pull her hands away, but Ming Xiaoyue deftly evaded her grasp.
In the ensuing struggle, most of Lu Jinxi’s collar came undone.
“Ming Xiaoyue, if you keep this up, I’ll really have to fight back,” Lu Jinxi gasped, her breathing ragged. She could feel an unsettling sensation building in her abdomen.
Suddenly, Ming Xiaoyue straddled her, seizing Lu Jinxi’s hand and trying to slip it under her nightgown. Alarms blared in Lu Jinxi’s mind.
Unable to endure any longer, Lu Jinxi forcefully pushed Ming Xiaoyue off her, murmuring, “I’m sorry, I’m afraid you’ll regret this in the morning.”
As she spoke, Lu Jinxi reversed their positions, pinning Ming Xiaoyue down. She swiftly grabbed the Omega Inhibitor from the table, peeled off the inhibitor patch on the back of Ming Xiaoyue’s neck with practiced ease, and steadily injected the inhibitor into the gland at the base of her neck.
“Huff… huff…” Lu Jinxi gasped for breath, finally able to breathe freely after the sweet, citrusy scent of Ming Xiaoyue’s Omega pheromones abruptly vanished from the air.
After a moment to recover, Lu Jinxi confirmed that Ming Xiaoyue wouldn’t act up again before reaching for her own inhibitor. But the needle had been crushed at some point.
Lu Jinxi sighed softly and climbed off Ming Xiaoyue, intending to retrieve her spare inhibitor. But the instant she turned around, a heavy weight suddenly slammed down on her back.
Lu Jinxi dropped to one knee, her arm colliding painfully with the sharp edge of the table.
“Ugh,” Lu Jinxi groaned.
“Lu Jinxi?” Ming Xiaoyue murmured groggily from behind.
“Mm-hmm,” Lu Jinxi replied, feeling Ming Xiaoyue gradually increase the pressure on her back.
“So… you’re working with Luo Hong?”
“No, huff, you first—” Lu Jinxi couldn’t tell if it was her imagination, but she sensed Ming Xiaoyue’s pheromones surging around her again, though this time with a different intensity.
This time, the pressure was suffocating, like a python constricting its prey. Lu Jinxi felt Ming Xiaoyue’s pheromones gradually engulf her.
Lu Jinxi shifted uncomfortably, trying to escape Ming Xiaoyue’s oppressive aura. But when Ming Xiaoyue’s fingertips brushed against her glands again, Lu Jinxi’s body trembled with pleasure.
This is bad, Lu Jinxi thought grimly. The inhibitor must have worn off.
“Ming Xiaoyue, get off me!” Lu Jinxi said, her hand gripping the edge of the table so tightly that the veins in her arm bulged, as if she were about to flip the table over.
“Then how do you explain why you’re in my room?” Ming Xiaoyue sensed the Alpha beneath her was on the verge of losing control, but she was gambling. In the darkness, her hand had already found the discarded inhibitor beside her, though she continued to press her questioning.
“I… huff… what you said in the theater bathroom today… huff… about me coming to find you tonight… uh… heh… Ming Xiaoyue,” Lu Jinxi gasped, her eyes bloodshot, her desire-driven nerves throbbing wildly.
“Just leave, please,” Lu Jinxi pleaded, her head involuntarily banging against the table edge as she tried to clear her mind.
“Oh, I remember now,” Ming Xiaoyue said, finally looking at Lu Jinxi with genuine seriousness as she noticed her body trembling slightly.
Reaching out, Ming Xiaoyue retrieved the package. The rustling sound made Lu Jinxi lift her head slightly, her gaze fixed on the bag Ming Xiaoyue held.
“Didn’t I tell you before—we should see each other less often? Hmm? Lu Jinxi, what exactly do you want from me?” Ming Xiaoyue asked, rummaging through the bag as she spoke.
“No, Ming Xiaoyue, the inhibitor, I…” Lu Jinxi stammered, her body suddenly convulsing violently as if undergoing a bizarre transformation.
“This one?” Ming Xiaoyue asked, holding up an Alpha inhibitor.
“Yes, I…” Lu Jinxi reached out shakily to take it.
But whether intentionally or accidentally, just as Lu Jinxi’s fingertips brushed the inhibitor, Ming Xiaoyue suddenly relaxed her grip. With a smash, the inhibitor shattered beside Lu Jinxi.
Ming Xiaoyue shrugged, feigning indifference. “Oops, my hand slipped.”
Lu Jinxi’s eyes were already bloodshot. The scent of the shattered inhibitor spread through the air. Lu Jinxi knew Ming Xiaoyue had done it on purpose…
