Omega Taming the Black Moonlight - Chapter 13
Ji Yilian had no intention of bullying Yan Liu.
The very concept of “bullying” didn’t even exist in her mind.
She had almost no experience interacting with Omegas.
In the Arena, on the battlefield, and even in war, Spiritual Power had always been an infallible weapon.
Against opponents and enemies, it allowed her to achieve twice the results with half the effort.
Why wouldn’t she use it to save resources in combat?
Utilizing Spiritual Power was every warrior’s instinct.
She had simply used it without thinking, never imagining that the girl who had been arguing back just moments ago would suddenly tear up, like a balloon abruptly punctured.
Omegas naturally possessed an aura that evoked pity. Yan Liu, with her delicate features, sitting there with tear-filled eyes, exuded a heartbreaking, pear blossom-like fragility.
Yet, in stark contrast to this vulnerability was Yan Liu’s defiant gaze, brimming with resentment.
It was as if she were staring at some legendary heartless villainess.
Ji Yilian fell silent, her breathing unsteady.
Yan Liu troubled her, leaving her unsure how to handle the situation.
Unlike other Alpha opponents, she couldn’t simply attack and retaliate directly.
Yet… she wasn’t like ordinary Omegas either, who were typically perceived as unilaterally fragile.
So, when Ji Yilian instinctively used her Spiritual Power and realized she was growing irritated, the Omega before her had already begun to cry.
Yan Liu’s face, already pale and lacking its usual rosy hue, became even more delicate and ethereal as tears streamed down her cheeks. The sight tugged at Ji Yilian’s heart, making it ache with tenderness.
Ji Yilian had never been one to comfort others, nor had she ever tried.
But watching the Omega silently weep before her was a rare and unsettling experience.
“I’m trying to help you, not bully you,” she said, attempting to correct Yan Liu’s earlier accusation.
Her words, however, seemed to stir up a hornet’s nest. Yan Liu’s tears flowed even more fiercely, the tip of her delicate nose turning red.
“How is this not bullying? Who barges into someone’s home just because they disagree, bites them, and then uses their Spiritual Power to pin them down?”
“Even the domineering CEOs in novels aren’t as bad as you,” Yan Liu said, her voice sharp with frustration.
Ji Yilian looked genuinely confused. “What’s a domineering CEO?”
Yan Liu paused, realizing this was a knowledge gap. She glared at Ji Yilian.
“It’s someone like you—someone who uses their wealth, power, and abilities to oppress poor Omegas. You force your will on them, giving them what they don’t want, just because you can.”
Yan Liu’s explanation was vivid.
Ji Yilian processed the concept for a moment, then murmured, “Then I’ll be a domineering CEO. It sounds… interesting.”
She even pondered the idea for a while, slowly blinking at Yan Liu.
Ahhh! This is a provocation! A blatant provocation!
Yan Liu was furious.
“I want a lot of things! Can you give me everything I want?!”
Perhaps driven mad by anger, Yan Liu stopped trying to push Ji Yilian away and instead revealed her true intentions.
Ji Yilian’s deep black eyes stared at her, and she nodded slowly.
“It depends on what it is.”
Heh, she actually paused to consider it, instead of agreeing immediately. It seems she’s seriously weighing whether to give it to me.
Yan Liu puffed out her cheeks like an angry little goldfish, her round almond eyes glaring at Ji Yilian. But then, as if struck by a sudden thought, she calmed down, transforming into a smug little fox, only a hint of mischief lingering in her almond eyes.
“First, I want all your money.”
“Second, I want…” She paused, thinking fiercely, then pursed her lips. “…your heart.”
Yes! I want both of those!
Since the Original Host had always been Ji Yilian’s devoted bl00d bag, it was time for Yan Liu to turn the tables!
Pah, not “turn the tables,” but set things right! To reclaim what’s rightfully mine!
The Original Host had given everything wholeheartedly. Now it was Ji Yilian’s turn to repay her, with interest.
As Yan Liu voiced her demands, she seemed to glow, her almond eyes shining with a fox-like gleam.
Ji Yilian watched Yan Liu’s reaction with amusement, neither agreeing nor refusing, her expression a teasing smile.
Under that intense gaze, Yan Liu quickly grew indignant.
“Why aren’t you saying anything? You’re just staring at me! Why don’t you answer?”
Ji Yilian’s eyes fell to the Smart Brain on Yan Liu’s wrist.
“Do you dare to take it?”
The casual question was like a spark to Yan Liu’s temper.
As if challenged to a duel, Yan Liu instantly went into fight-or-flight mode. Her almond-shaped eyes widened like a cat’s, and her hair seemed to bristle.
“Of course I dare!” she retorted, her voice sharp and deliberate.
After speaking, Yan Liu realized Ji Yilian was calling her bluff, reminding her of how she had hesitated to even accept a Smart Brain earlier, branding her as timid. Ji Yilian clearly didn’t believe Yan Liu’s earlier claims about wanting those things.
“Then I dare to take them! Do you dare to give them?” Yan Liu countered, tucking her hand behind her back to hide the Smart Brain on her wrist. She fixed Ji Yilian with a defiant stare, trying to assert dominance.
Ji Yilian’s lips curved into a faint smile. Her long, straight black hair gave her an inherently aloof air, but when she smiled, the curve of her red lips added a touch of bright, less intimidating warmth to her face.
“Some of the things you want, I don’t have,” she said softly, her tone earnest.
Yan Liu immediately tensed, her delicate willow-leaf eyebrows furrowing.
“What don’t you have?”
Money? Or heart?
Either way, it wasn’t good.
Ji Yilian didn’t speak, merely lowered her gaze to her right hand while tapping her Smart Brain with her left.
In the next instant, she pressed the Smart Brain close to Yan Liu.
“Extend your hand.”
Yan Liu hesitated for a moment before cautiously pulling her hand from behind her back.
Ji Yilian took Yan Liu’s wrist and gently touched it.
Yan Liu immediately felt a notification pop up on her Smart Brain and glanced down to read it.
Your Star Coin account has been credited with 10,000,000.
With so many zeros, Yan Liu had to count them several times to be sure.
Ten million Star Coins?! Was Ji Yilian really this wealthy and generous?
Yan Liu was stunned.
This completely shattered her preconceived notions about Ji Yilian.
Wasn’t she supposed to be treating Yan Liu like a bl00d bag—a textbook case of Narcissistic Personality Disorder, a scumbag Alpha who would turn on her without a second thought?
Ji Yilian glanced at her, her thick lashes casting shadows over her dark eyes, lending her an air of mystery.
“These are Star Coins from my personal account. There’s a daily transfer limit.”
As she spoke, Ji Yilian tapped something on her Smart Brain, and a projection quickly appeared from Yan Liu’s device.
On the other end was a professionally dressed staff member, who greeted Yan Liu with a warm smile.
“Ms. Yan Liu, employee ID 05983 will be assisting you with this account binding. Ms. Ji Yilian has requested to link her personal account to yours. Do you approve this request?”
“Once the personal account is linked, you will have unconditional access to all funds in Ms. Ji Yilian’s account.”
Yan Liu was momentarily stunned.
Ji Yilian, standing beside her, urged, “Say yes.”
Yan Liu hesitated, but Ji Yilian baited her: “Don’t you dare accept it?”
How could a good person resist such a challenge? Who says I don’t dare?
Even if Ji Yilian gave her everything, it wouldn’t be enough!
In her heightened state, the Omega didn’t even blink. “Bind it!”
Hmph!
If Ji Yilian wanted to compensate her, then she’d accept.
After confirming her consent, the account binding specialist verified her identity several times before finally completing the process. The holographic screen vanished.
Ji Yilian and Yan Liu exchanged a glance. The former remained utterly composed, not even flinching.
Yan Liu, however, felt a belated sense of complexity.
“Hey, you can’t take it back now,” Yan Liu said.
Ji Yilian’s lips curved slightly. “I have no regrets.”
She was so calm, so unlike the scumbag Alpha Yan Liu had imagined. Seeing her like this, she really didn’t seem like one.
Realizing what she was thinking, Yan Liu wanted to shake her head.
Yan Liu! Don’t be so naive.
How could she judge someone’s character based solely on their actions within a single day?
Vigilance must never be lowered; these were all sugar-coated bullets.
The girl’s account had just received an astronomical sum, and it was now linked to Ji Yilian’s personal account, freeing her from any future financial worries. Yet she remained troubled, her brow furrowed in concern.
Ji Yilian observed this as she methodically unwrapped the remaining packages. Turning casually, she asked, “What exactly is the second thing you want?”
Money was easy enough; she knew what it was and had plenty.
But what was a heart?
