Omega Taming the Black Moonlight - Chapter 19
“Yan Liu, get up.”
Ji Yilian subtly shifted back, her voice devoid of emotion, but her gaze was profoundly dark.
Yan Liu scrambled to her feet.
The sensation of being watched by a hunter, as if she were about to be seized by the nape of her neck, was overwhelming.
She even feared Ji Yilian might devour her whole.
This fear was irrational. What was so special about Ji Yilian? She was just an Alpha with offensive pheromones.
They were both girls. What Ji Yilian had, Yan Liu had too.
She had pheromones too, and she certainly wasn’t lacking in Spiritual Power—it just hadn’t been developed yet!
With this realization, Yan Liu immediately straightened up, feeling her confidence return.
“So what if I lie back down? You threw me around so many times in ten minutes—even a bull would be shattered to pieces by now!”
Yan Liu moved to a different spot and settled back down, lying flat with a clear conscience.
“I’m just lying here. Just lying here.”
It was hard to explain why, but Yan Liu refused to yield to Ji Yilian. She had to resist.
Pure stubbornness.
Ji Yilian raised an eyebrow. The necklace around her neck, adorned with a purple crystal, suddenly glowed, flashing red.
Simultaneously, a violent storm of pheromones erupted from Ji Yilian, engulfing the room in a chaotic torrent.
The pheromone was like the overwhelming fragrance of orchids, so intense it threatened to overwhelm her senses.
Yan Liu was engulfed by the surging pheromone.
Before she could even take a breath, her consciousness dissolved into chaos.
She felt as if she had plunged into a sea of flowers, a boundless, undulating expanse with no discernible horizon.
“Ji Yilian…”
Yan Liu didn’t even know what she was saying, only that her lips were moving.
She realized that the multiple times Ji Yilian had thrown her to the ground under the guise of combat training were nothing compared to this experience.
So this is what an Alpha’s pheromone is like…
Aggressive, invasive, sharp, and utterly overwhelming.
She had never felt her own weakness so acutely.
She couldn’t resist, not even muster the will to fight back.
She felt so vulnerable she wanted to cry, overwhelmed by fear and involuntary arousal.
She couldn’t explain the sensation—her body and mind were still hers, yet she had lost control, completely dominated by Ji Yilian’s pheromone.
She hated this feeling of helplessness.
Yan Liu lay there, her almond-shaped eyes glistening with tears, her red lips pressed so tightly together they were nearly marked by her teeth.
Ji Yilian approached, the purple crystal on her neck now almost entirely crimson.
Cold sweat beaded on her forehead as if she were battling some primal instinct. She slowly knelt beside Yan Liu, leaning down to look at her.
“Yan Liu, this is an Alpha,” she said, enunciating each word clearly as she gradually suppressed her nearly completely out-of-control pheromones.
This act went entirely against human instinct, yet Ji Yilian maintained an impassive expression, her dark eyes retaining a flicker of clarity. Beneath this composure, however, lurked a surging darkness.
It was clear how much effort this required.
The chaotic pheromones that had flooded the room were now less intense, but Yan Liu remained paralyzed, her body limp and her face flushed, as if she had turned into a puddle of water or a sponge. Her pupils were slightly unfocused, but as she looked at Ji Yilian, they slowly returned to normal, though lingering traces of fear remained.
What just happened?
Why did I react like that?
Was it because of the Alpha’s pheromones?
Yan Liu couldn’t even move a finger. She could only watch helplessly as Ji Yilian leaned closer, closing the distance between them.
The Alpha’s cold, jade-white hand gently brushed against Yan Liu’s lips, stroking them lightly.
“Don’t bite your lip,” Ji Yilian said, freeing Yan Liu’s lip from between her teeth. Her voice remained detached, yet her actions betrayed a stark contrast: an uncontrollable intimacy toward Yan Liu, and a fierce desire suppressed deep within her eyes.
“Isn’t it terrifying, Yan Liu?”
Her lips brushed against Yan Liu’s pale ear as she whispered, “This is what an Alpha is. Remember this.”
From now on, you’d better stay away from all Alphas except me.
“Yan Liu, not every Alpha has this kind of self-control.”
“You saw an Alpha lose control today. If it hadn’t been me, but someone else, what do you think would have happened?”
Yan Liu felt like a dead dog, lying there without even the strength to open her mouth and speak.
Worse, her mind had completely deserted her, turning into a muddled mess. She couldn’t even understand what Ji Yilian was saying.
Each word seemed comprehensible individually, but in this context, her brain had completely shut down.
The girl had no idea what she looked like right now.
Her crimson lips, slightly unfocused yet hazy eyes, delicate palm-sized face, and strands of hair clinging to her cheeks with sweat made Yan Liu resemble a perfectly ripe peach—fragrant, alluring, and utterly delectable.
Ji Yilian chuckled softly, never having felt such pleasure before.
She narrowed her eyes slightly, like a cat gazing at something utterly satisfying. Her hand slowly slid into Yan Liu’s, their fingers intertwining.
“Alphas are terrifying. Remember that.”
Yan Liu didn’t even realize she was nodding.
Having just endured the full force of an S-Class Alpha’s pheromones, even without anything physical happening, the sheer intensity of that storm was enough to capsize her small boat.
Her almond-shaped eyes, glistening with moisture, looked utterly innocent.
Ji Yilian watched her, a low chuckle escaping her lips.
“Good girl, Liu Liu.”
She helped Yan Liu sit up, fetched water, and offered it to her.
Yan Liu was completely dazed.
When faced with a sudden and drastic change in their environment, people often enter a state of mental blankness if they can’t process it quickly enough.
She was in that state now, unaware of what she was doing or what was happening around her.
Acting on instinct, she accepted the water from Ji Yilian and took a small sip.
Only when the cool liquid moistened her lips and throat, slid down her esophagus, and reached her stomach did she finally register her own existence, her consciousness slowly returning.
Ji Yilian retrieved a chilled drink from the training room, opened it, and calmly took a sip.
Yan Liu, clutching the water bottle with both hands, unconsciously glanced at Ji Yilian from the corner of her eye.
So terrifying.
Waaah, so scary! Ji Yilian is truly terrifying.
If Yan Liu had previously doubted Ji Yilian’s scumbag Alpha nature, swayed by occasional glimpses of her “good” side that contradicted the original novel’s plot, today’s incident—being frightened by Ji Yilian’s pheromones—had completely branded the name “Ji Yilian” in Yan Liu’s mind with the label “Ultimate Scumbag Alpha.”
This attempt to intimidate and control her was utterly unhealthy.
A mentally sound person, even as a friend, would warn you about the dangers of an Alpha’s pheromones going out of control in a way you could accept, offering the information kindly.
Not like Ji Yilian had just done.
Terrifying.
Yan Liu didn’t like Ji Yilian.
In her mind, she silently marked the woman with a big, red X.
From now on, she would never be swayed by any of Ji Yilian’s actions again.
Starting this very moment, she would no longer take Ji Yilian’s moods, emotions, or actions to heart.
She treated her like a two-dimensional character, trying to ‘conquer’ her without any real feelings involved.
Yes, that’s exactly what I’ll do.
Yan Liu, after taking a small sip of water, stood there like a well-behaved child, but the little figure in her heart had already clenched its fists, its resolve firmly set.
