Omega Taming the Black Moonlight - Chapter 57
Yan Liu didn’t want to reveal her true identity just yet, but she was also eagerly anticipating the moment of revelation.
It would be far more intriguing if Ji Yilian herself uncovered the mystery of her Healer identity, rather than Yan Liu simply telling her.
Today, Yan Liu decided to retrieve the mask she had obtained earlier and try it on to see how effective it was.
Little Nugget immediately began beeping urgently.
“Master, Master! Have your physiological characteristics changed?”
The Bionic Butler circled Yan Liu anxiously.
It stared at the unfamiliar woman whose appearance, height, and breathing patterns had completely transformed, utterly bewildered.
Its Master had become someone else, with all her physiological indicators altered. Yet this person still possessed the authority to control it.
Seeing Little Nugget’s frantic circling, Yan Liu removed the mask.
“Haha, I was just wearing a special mask that conceals my biological features. Don’t worry, I’m still me.”
Yan Liu explained to Little Nugget.
Hearing her explanation, the Bionic Butler circled around her, its voice regaining its cheerful tone.
“Master! I understand now! That form you took earlier was your Second Form!”
Yan Liu paused, then smiled, revealing her little pear dimple. “Exactly! You can think of it that way.”
“Little Nugget, would you like to come out with me?”
Little Nugget’s voice grew excited. “Really, Master?!”
“Of course! But we’ll need to use my Second Form. That way, no one will recognize me.”
“Yes, Master! Little Nugget is ready!”
And so, Yan Liu took Little Nugget to the office building.
To her shame, she hadn’t found time to visit the office building in the past two days.
She was even using the aircraft officially assigned to her by the Alliance for the first time.
As the aircraft approached its destination, Yan Liu’s smile brightened.
I’m so excited!
Inside the office building, every staff member on duty had gathered at the entrance.
Just moments ago, the S-Class Healer they served had announced her arrival.
The group of staff members couldn’t hide their excitement and anticipation.
“It’s been ages since we’ve had an S-Class Healer in this sector. I’m so excited!”
“I wonder what the Healer will be like. Will she be kind?”
“Even if she’s not, we’ll have to endure it. An S-Class Healer is, in some ways, even more valuable than an S-Rank warrior who can fight in the Abyss. Serving her well is our duty.”
“Oh, why are you all being so pessimistic? What if our esteemed Healer is both powerful and gentle?”
“Unlikely. How many high-ranking people have you met who are truly kind? We should prepare for the worst.”
As they were discussing, they spotted Yan Liu approaching with her Bionic Mecha Butler. Instantly, everyone straightened up and fell silent.
Twenty staff members stood in perfect unison before the office building, welcoming Yan Liu.
“Greetings, Healer!”
As if rehearsed, their bows and greetings were perfectly synchronized.
Yan Liu froze, stunned.
Even with a mask concealing her features, Yan Liu was caught off guard.
“Mm,” she managed to squeeze out, feeling socially awkward and unsure of what to say.
But from the staff’s perspective, the esteemed S-Class Healer lived up to her reputation, radiating an air of mystery!
Though her face remained hidden, an undeniable aura of grace and elegance permeated the room.
The staff’s gazes toward Yan Liu sparkled like tiny stars, their admiration impossible to conceal.
Frozen in place by embarrassment, Yan Liu paused before speaking.
“So, where is my office? Could you show me?”
“Of course, Healer-sama!”
A tall, muscular male Alpha immediately stepped forward, his eagerness palpable.
Yan Liu instinctively took a step back, creating some distance. She wasn’t used to people being so close.
Realizing her discomfort with male Alphas, a female Alpha from the group immediately approached with a warmer demeanor.
“We’re all your assistants,” she said to Yan Liu. “Based on our performance, you can choose two of us to be your personal assistants. If you wish, we can also assist with your daily life.”
In recent years, as warriors frequently ventured into the Abyss for combat, the number of individuals with damaged Spiritual Bodies had steadily increased.
Despite the constant training of new warriors, the shortage of Healers meant that many were left to watch their Spiritual Bodies slowly wither, reducing them to ordinary people living ordinary lives.
This was a truly tragic situation.
As a result, whenever a new S-Class Healer emerged, they were treated like a priceless treasure.
The trained staff understood that serving this esteemed Healer was akin to securing healing opportunities for countless warriors.
Faced with the staff’s fervent gazes, Yan Liu felt uncharacteristically embarrassed.
“No need,” she said. “I don’t require assistance with my personal life. Just help with work-related tasks when needed.”
It was only now that she realized she had underestimated the significance of being an S-Class Healer.
She suddenly found herself eagerly anticipating her meeting with Ji Yilian tomorrow.
Next, Yan Liu followed one of the female Alphas on a tour of the entire building.
“The reason we requested this entire building for you is to accommodate the unstable Spiritual Bodies of your future clients. Their Spiritual Power and pheromones might interfere with each other. Therefore, each client will have their own dedicated floor for Healing sessions.”
The female assistant explained softly to Yan Liu.
“Actually, the office building isn’t just for work. The top few floors are reserved for your personal use—beauty treatments, entertainment, and relaxation.”
The assistant’s gentle words left Yan Liu stunned.
The perks are incredible.
Since transmigrating to this world, her perspective had been constantly shifting.
Becoming a powerful Healer seemed to elevate her to the status of nobility, granting her access to such vast resources.
Compared to just a week ago, when she was the Original Host—an orphan with no Talent Potion, no money, no resources, and no awakened Spiritual Body…
Everything she now possessed felt like a dream.
Yan Liu quickly snapped out of her reverie, reminding herself:Â This is indeed a dream. Your true roots lie elsewhere.
She needed to complete her conquest mission and return to the real world, ensuring her grandfather wouldn’t have to bury his own grandchild.
“Excellent. Contact these individuals. Schedule them for Healing consultations tomorrow.”
Yan Liu handed Instructor Green Silk’s information to the assistant for arrangements.
“Understood. One A-Class Alpha and one S-Rank female Alpha. I’ll register their details and prepare the consultation rooms in advance.”
Hearing the assistant’s arrangements, Yan Liu felt her anxiety ease slightly.
Ji Yilian…
She wondered what the scene would be like when they met tomorrow.
When Yan Liu woke up in the morning, she noticed Ji Yilian was still silent.
This woman used to text me constantly. Now she’s completely quiet.
How utterly illogical!
Yan Liu puffed out her cheeks in a huff, genuinely annoyed.
No wonder they call Ji Yilian a Great Scumbag Alpha—her moods are so fickle!
Yesterday, she was so attentive, taking me to that underwater restaurant to celebrate our success… Treating me like she wanted to be my girlfriend, even driving me home and acting all reluctant to leave.
But the moment she left, she vanished.
Yan Liu felt increasingly foolish for having wavered even slightly, almost changing her opinion of Ji Yilian. How ridiculous!
I’m furious! I’m furious with Ji Yilian!
Yan Liu quickly banished these thoughts, got up early, put on her mask, and headed out with Little Nugget.
“Let’s go, Little Nugget! Time for work!”
When Yan Liu and Little Nugget arrived at the office building, they found two aircraft already parked outside.
One of them was unmistakably Ji Yilian’s.
Remembering that Ji Yilian needed her help today, Yan Liu straightened her posture a little as she walked.
“Master, are you so happy to go to work?” Little Nugget asked curiously, gliding beside her like a roller-skating pro, his head tilted sideways.
Compared to how she usually was at home, Yan Liu was now rubbing her hands together, eager to try her hand at something. Her adrenaline was surging, and she looked visibly excited.
Yan Liu paused, taking a moment to compose herself.
“Is it that obvious? That I’m happy?”
Perhaps it was the thought of donning her disguise and playing the role of a mysterious expert before Ji Yilian that filled her with such anticipation.
Little Nugget nodded vigorously. “Master is especially happy! And when Master is happy, Little Nugget is happy too!”
Yan Liu chuckled genuinely at the Bionic Mecha Butler’s adorable appearance.
“You don’t even know why I’m happy, yet you’re grinning like a fool.”
Little Nugget even whistled a cheerful tune. “Happy, happy! When Master is happy, I’m happy too!”
“Ha ha. Silly little thing.” Yan Liu’s heart warmed. She realized that the Alliance’s decision to gift her with a Bionic Mecha Butler like Little Nugget was actually quite meaningful.
Her life had become a little more interesting, much like that old movie she’d seen where the protagonist, lonely and isolated, bought a robot companion. From then on, the robot was always by its side, playing and sharing every moment.
Little Nugget truly gave Yan Liu that same sense of warmth and companionship.
“When we go inside, we need to act serious, okay, Little Nugget? You know, give off a really intimidating aura.”
Little Nugget nodded. “Understood!”
As they approached the main gate, Little Nugget, who had been accompanying Yan Liu in his usual Butler form, suddenly straightened to his full height. His slender metallic arms transformed into the massive combat arms of a Mecha.
In an instant, he became a three-meter-tall battle giant, scooping up Yan Liu and placing him gently in the palm of his hand.
“Little Nugget will always protect Master.”
The Bionic Mecha Butler’s once-endearing voice now boomed with a deep, resonant timbre. His overwhelming size made Yan Liu appear tiny by comparison.
Instructor Green Silk and Ji Yilian, who had been waiting in the main hall, heard the staff announce:
“Lord Mu Mao has arrived!”
Green Silk, who had been sitting and half-heartedly sipping tea, sprang to her feet. Gone was her earlier leisurely demeanor. She rushed to the entrance, straightened her posture, and forced a more welcoming expression onto her face.
She even shot a pointed glance at her expressionless disciple. “Yi Lian, come here.”
Green Silk, who had always looked down on Omegas, turned away and surreptitiously massaged her cheeks, trying to force a stiff smile.
We still don’t know what Lord Mu Mao’s personality is like.
I hope he can heal her and Yi Lian’s Spiritual Bodies.
Ji Yilian stood silently behind her Mentor, unable to force a smile.
Green Silk kept gesturing at her, urging, “Smile! Just smile!”
She knew her disciple often wore a cold expression, giving off an air of arrogance that kept people at arm’s length. She wasn’t the approachable type.
Normally, this wouldn’t matter. In Green Silk’s eyes, most students at Tianyi Academy were beneath her disciple in terms of potential and future prospects. Their paths would inevitably diverge, so there was no need to cultivate friendships.
But Lord Mu Mao was different.
He was an S-Class Healer whose services were highly sought after and nearly impossible to secure.
If Green Silk hadn’t acted swiftly, finding alternative channels to secure an appointment with Lord Mu Mao, they likely wouldn’t have been able to contact such a Healer at all.
Though arrogant, Green Silk was also pragmatic, knowing when to maintain her haughty demeanor and when to set it aside.
Yet even as her eyes strained from glaring, Ji Yilian couldn’t manage a smile.
“I can’t smile,” Ji Yilian whispered.
Ji Yilian should have been focusing her attention on finding the Healer to treat her injured Spiritual Body, especially since she had come here with her Mentor for that very purpose.
Yet her mind was completely consumed by Yan Liu.
The video she had received last night continued to replay in her mind, refusing to fade.
She found herself regretting not sending another message last night.
Or perhaps she should have taken the initiative to message Yan Liu this morning?
Is it too late to send one now?
