Online Romance with an Iceberg Professor Backfired - Chapter 29.1
Chapter 29.1: Cohabitation
“It’s… eleven in the morning.”
“Slept that long…” Jiang Xianhan had never woken up so late. This time, she slept deeply and comfortably, even dreaming that she was holding a soft, fluffy big white cat.
Jiang Xianhan’s arm was not as sore as it was yesterday. She pressed one hand against Ji Pei’s lower abdomen, sat up from the other woman’s body, and stretched her limbs. Ji Pei lay on the pillow, intending to get up and wash up, but was immediately pushed back down by Jiang Xianhan. Jiang Xianhan hugged her, unwilling to let go. “Lie down a little longer.”
Ji Pei’s stomach was growling with hunger. She rubbed against Jiang Xianhan’s calf. “It’s noon. I’ll buy the groceries first and make you something delicious to nourish you.” She reordered the groceries she hadn’t managed to order yesterday.
Jiang Xianhan was completely sore and had no strength after the fever yesterday. Ji Pei told her to lie down and rest well, and she only needed to get up to eat later.
The delivery soon arrived. The delivery guy helped Ji Pei move everything inside. There was quite a lot of stuff. After the delivery guy left, Ji Pei gave him a sixty-six yuan red packet as a tip.
Jiang Xianhan had just recovered from a fever and couldn’t eat greasy food. Ji Pei decided to make her a light vegetable porridge and stir-fry a few plates of appetizing shredded meat with green vegetables. The doctor advised against spicy and stimulating food, so she would just stir-fry them plainly. How could she not eat meat to supplement her protein when she was sick?
The sound of neat chopping echoed from the kitchen. The bedroom door and windows were open for ventilation. Jiang Xianhan lay on the bed, her limbs feeling like jelly. She sat up, leaning against the headboard, and felt Ji Pei’s phone by the bed. Ji Pei’s phone case was very cute, featuring Hello Kitty with a red bow.
Jiang Xianhan took out her own phone, opened Taobao, and checked if there was a matching phone case. She wanted to buy one too.
Ji Pei, wearing a pink pig apron, stood at the doorway and saw this scene. Jiang Xianhan was holding her phone and taking a picture with her own phone, probably doing an image search. Ji Pei stood at the doorway, arms crossed, staring at her with a smile on her lips.
“Where did you buy your phone case?”
Ji Pei walked over and squatted on the carpet. She unlocked the phone with face recognition, found the previous order, and ordered another phone case for Jiang Xianhan’s model. “I bought one for you. We’ll use matching ones from now on.” Ji Pei saw that Jiang Xianhan was bored lying in bed, so she flipped the phone to the back. She had downloaded many small games to pass the time before, but she wasn’t sure if Jiang Xianhan liked to play them.
“Here you go.” Ji Pei opened the game interface for the old version of Plants vs. Zombies and handed the phone to Jiang Xianhan, like coaxing a child. “In this level, there are zombies that drop down with ropes. Those damn plant-stealers. I’ve died several times. Can you help me beat it?”
Jiang Xianhan had never played this game. Her expression was slightly bewildered, but she nodded and agreed.
The phone screen suddenly went dark. Ji Pei lit it up and entered the password in front of Jiang Xianhan. The password was her birthday. 020520. Jiang Xianhan knew Ji Pei’s birthday and remembered it very clearly. Her birthday was on May 20th, which was very memorable.
Seeing Ji Pei open the settings, smiling brightly, and clicking into the password field, changing the password to a new one. 941105. Jiang Xianhan glanced at it and knew Ji Pei had entered her own birthday.
“Why would you…”
Ji Pei licked her lips and said, “We are a couple. Of course, we should change our phone passwords to each other’s birthdays.” Ji Pei couldn’t wait to open Jiang Xianhan’s phone, scanned her face, and started changing the password the same way. “Is your password your birthday too?”
Jiang Xianhan couldn’t describe the feeling in her heart. She felt sour and swollen, as if something was about to overflow. “Mhm, it’s my birthday.”
After Ji Pei finished changing Jiang Xianhan’s phone password, she cupped her face and fiercely kissed her on the mouth twice, then licked it with her tongue, still unsatisfied. “Alright, a good afternoon kiss. I’m going to cook. Don’t sneak up on me from behind.”
Jiang Xianhan laughed. “When did I ever sneak up on you?”
Ji Pei kissed Jiang Xianhan’s mouth again and snorted twice. “I can’t even count on my fingers, hmph!”
After Ji Pei left, Jiang Xianhan held her phone, leaning against the headboard, and started the mission Ji Pei had assigned her: to beat that level of Plants vs. Zombies. Just as Jiang Xianhan tapped to enter, Ji Pei’s phone popped up a WeChat notification, and her fingertip accidentally clicked into it. It seemed to be Ji Pei’s university class WeChat group. There were quite a few people, and it looked lively.
Xie Zhen: “@ everyone Don’t forget the class reunion tomorrow!”
Xie Zhen… Jiang Xianhan’s lips slightly curled. The next second, another message came in.
Xie Zhen: “@ Ji Pei Don’t forget!”
Jiang Xianhan stared at Xie Zhen’s profile picture expressionlessly. She clicked on it and found that the oil painting profile picture looked somewhat familiar. When she zoomed out, it turned out to be highly similar to Ji Pei’s profile. She recalled what Ji Pei had told her before: Xie Zhen had a crush on her, harassed her, and constantly spied on her. A large rock blocked Jiang Xianhan’s heart. Jealousy and anger surged within her.
In the kitchen, Ji Pei was chopping vegetables. While chopping, she accidentally cut her finger with the knife. Fresh bl00d dripped onto the cutting board from her fingertip. Ji Pei sighed, squeezed the bl00d out of her finger, and went to another room to look for a band-aid.
While she was looking for the band-aid, the door opened from the outside. Ye Wenzhu came in with a bouquet of light-blocking flowers, her face beaming, but she found no one in the living room. Ji Pei was probably lying in the bedroom, so she carried the rare black roses straight to the bedroom.
“Pei Pei! Look! I brought you…”
Her voice abruptly stopped. Ye Wenzhu’s pupils contracted. After clearly seeing the person sitting on the bed, she instantly stammered, “Pro… Pro Professor J-J-J-J-Jiang!”
Jiang Xianhan’s hair was down. She was leaning against the headboard, playing Plants vs. Zombies on her phone. She seemed startled, and Jiang Xianhan’s expression looked a little cold.
“Just one Jiang.”
Ye Wenzhu stared at Jiang Xianhan in fear. “Professor Jiang, how are you…”
Before she could finish her sentence, Ji Pei came out of the other room with a band-aid. Seeing Ye Wenzhu at her house, she was puzzled. “Why are you here?”
Ye Wenzhu quickly hid behind Ji Pei, keeping away from Jiang Xianhan’s murderous laser-like gaze. “My store just got a batch of rare black roses. I wanted to bring them to you personally, and the result is…” Ye Wenzhu frantically winked at Ji Pei, shoved the black roses into her hand, and dashed to the living room.
She mouthed a silent question to Ji Pei: “Are you two living together?”
Ji Pei froze for a moment and said, “Kind of.”
Ye Wenzhu opened her mouth wide again. “Why so fast?”
Ji Pei touched her face, a little embarrassed. “Don’t ask so many questions.”
Jiang Xianhan hadn’t finished her Plants vs. Zombies game when she suddenly saw the band-aid on Ji Pei’s raised hand. She put down her phone, threw off the quilt, and walked toward Ji Pei. As if she hadn’t seen Ye Wenzhu, she grabbed Ji Pei’s left index finger. “What happened to your hand?”
“I accidentally cut it while chopping vegetables.”
Ye Wenzhu watched the couple’s intimate display, tiptoed, and secretly slipped away to the living room.
In the living room, Jiang Xianhan leaned on the sofa, playing a game on Ji Pei’s phone. Ye Wenzhu sat diagonally across from her, not daring to play with her phone, so she busied herself with the roses she had brought.
Ji Pei, who was stir-frying in the kitchen, walked over with a knife in hand. Seeing Ye Wenzhu still sitting on the sofa, she couldn’t help but ask, “Didn’t you come to deliver the flowers?”
Ye Wenzhu nodded. “Yes.”
Ji Pei: “You’ve delivered the flowers. Why are you still here?”
Is that something a person would say? Ye Wenzhu was about to flare up, but then she thought of Jiang Xianhan sitting opposite her and the Ferrari Ji Pei had given her yesterday. She unmanly shrank her neck. “Oh, my mind. I forgot, I forgot.”
Ji Pei: “Next time, just deliver the flowers. You don’t have to come in person.”
Ye Wenzhu: “…” She secretly glanced at Jiang Xianhan opposite her, pouting as if about to cry, but then she squeezed her car key and started smiling. “Okay, I’ll be obedient.”
Ji Pei: “…” Why does Ye Wenzhu also seem to have slight multiple personalities?
After “driving away” the unwelcome guest, Jiang Xianhan stared at the door lock and couldn’t help but say, “We should change the password, so certain people don’t show up unexpectedly.”
Ji Pei chuckled at the words “certain people.”
“Okay, let’s change the password to your birthday. We’ll change it after lunch.”
There was only one last dish to make, and all the lunch would be ready. Ji Pei’s phone’s WeChat notification rang a few times. She opened it and saw that someone had posted a new message in the university class group.
Xie Zhen: “@ everyone , tomorrow at 11 a.m., come to XX Restaurant. I’ll be waiting for you here.”
Jiang Xianhan brought the phone to the kitchen, stood next to Ji Pei, and watched her stir-fry the last dish of shredded potatoes with green peppers. “Your university class group sent a message, asking you all to meet at XX Restaurant tomorrow at 11 a.m.”
Ji Pei leaned over to look. “11 a.m. Your class is tomorrow morning. I’ll drop you off and go straight there.”
Jiang Xianhan casually asked, “Do you have class reunions often?”
Ji Pei poured the stir-fried shredded potatoes onto a plate and shook her head. “Just this once. I didn’t really want to go, but the class monitor specifically @ me in the group. I want to see what tricks she’s up to.”
After lunch, Ji Pei went outside and changed the password of the lock to Jiang Xianhan’s birthday. She clapped her hands and smiled. “There! Now you can come in anytime!”
Jiang Xianhan tried entering the password and smiled with satisfaction. “Don’t give this password to anyone casually in the future, not even Ye Wenzhu.”
Ji Pei hugged her from behind, pushed Jiang Xianhan into the living room, closed the door, and smiled. “I know.” Her palm pressed against Jiang Xianhan’s slightly protruding stomach, gently stroking it. “Are you full?”
Jiang Xianhan covered Ji Pei’s hand, leaning back against her shoulder, and kissed the corner of Ji Pei’s mouth. “I’m full.”
“Since you’re full…” Ji Pei smiled shyly. She immediately picked up Jiang Xianhan horizontally with both hands, walked quickly to the sofa, and placed her on it. “You ate the meal I made. What’s my reward?”
Jiang Xianhan stroked Ji Pei’s soft and delicate skin on the back of her neck, pressed her head down, and easily captured her lips. Ji Pei had wanted to be on top for a long time. Every time they kissed before, she was pressed down by Jiang Xianhan, which made her feel very embarrassed. Now she finally had a chance to counterattack. She happily took Jiang Xianhan’s lower lip into her mouth. She parted her legs and sat on Jiang Xianhan’s thigh, one hand running through her warm hair.
Ji Pei wasn’t very skilled at kissing and lacked experience. She liked to gently bite Jiang Xianhan’s full lips with her teeth, and use her tongue to sweep over her warm gums. Jiang Xianhan had just eaten two slices of orange, and her mouth had a faint orange scent. Ji Pei sucked on her flexible, soft tongue, one hand resting on her back, lifting the hem of her pajamas and burrowing underneath.
Both of them began to breathe heavily. Ji Pei slightly opened her eyes and realized Jiang Xianhan had been watching her the whole time. “…” Her face suddenly flushed. Ji Pei slightly pulled away from Jiang Xianhan’s lips, covered her eyes, and muffled, “No looking.”
Jiang Xianhan held onto her shoulders with both hands and let out two muffled laughs. “What are you shy about? You saw me without clothes.”
“That’s different…” Ji Pei was afraid Jiang Xianhan would say something else improper. She covered her eyes with one hand and continuously caressed her lower back with the other. Jiang Xianhan had dimples of Venus, and Ji Pei immediately found them.
“Ji Pei…” She tilted her neck back, forming a long, graceful curve. The next second, Ji Pei’s lips captured it. The sound of kissing and lapping was continuous. Ji Pei kissed Jiang Xianhan’s chin, continuously rubbing it with her teeth, wishing she could keep Jiang Xianhan’s soft, sweet lips in her mouth forever.
Jiang Xianhan had heard people say that the mouth was also a type of s3x organ. Humans seek pleasure through kissing, and the cerebral cortex transmits happiness, influenced by the synchronized brainwaves of both kissers.
Sticky and messy. Ji Pei wasn’t sure how long they had been kissing on the sofa. She reluctantly pulled away from Jiang Xianhan’s lips, picked her up, and let her sit in her lap. Jiang Xianhan’s chest was rising and falling. She gasped for air, surprised at how quickly Ji Pei was learning. They hadn’t kissed many times in total. In the beginning, Ji Pei even bit her lip until it bled. She hadn’t expected to be able to kiss her until she was completely weak today. She was making rapid progress.
Jiang Xianhan moved her legs, rubbing them against Ji Pei’s lower abdomen a few times. She leaned on Ji Pei’s shoulder and said hoarsely, “Little Pei, I feel so uncomfortable.”
Ji Pei’s pupils instantly dilated. She kissed Jiang Xianhan’s earlobe and stammered, “But… I’m not very good at it… I’m afraid I’ll…”
Jiang Xianhan grabbed her finger, gently bit it with her teeth, and lightly moistened her long, strong fingertip. “You can learn if you don’t know how.”
Ji Pei whispered, “But… I… I have no experience… I’m afraid I won’t do it well…”
Jiang Xianhan wrapped her two legs around Ji Pei’s waist and smiled. “How will you know if you don’t try?”
Seeing Jiang Xianhan’s hand slowly slide down, resting on her waistband, Ji Pei instantly became flustered. “It’s broad daylight! Ji Fan might come back at any moment!”
Jiang Xianhan’s hand paused slightly. Seeing Ji Pei’s face and neck turn red, she leaned into her arms and said lazily, “Then how about tonight?”
Ji Pei softly hummed, not daring to look into Jiang Xianhan’s eyes.
As night approached, Ji Pei drove Jiang Xianhan to the villa near the school. She was giving herself a pep talk the entire way, feeling nervous and excited. She didn’t dare to look into Jiang Xianhan’s eyes in the car. Jiang Xianhan noticed Ji Pei’s nervousness and didn’t say a word during the drive. The car stopped in the garage. Ji Pei cautiously scanned the surroundings, like a feline animal patrolling its territory. Perfect. No one.
The thought of what they were about to do made Ji Pei’s little heart thump wildly. Don’t be afraid… don’t be nervous… relax… It’s just doing that. What’s there to be afraid of?
Ji Pei opened the door and pulled Jiang Xianhan into the living room. Before she could turn on the lights, she was blocked by Jiang Xianhan’s lips. Ji Pei managed to find the switch with one hand. When the light came on, her vision finally returned. Jiang Xianhan’s forehead was pressed against hers, her hot breath misting Ji Pei’s chin.
“Let’s… shower first.”
Jiang Xianhan fiercely sealed her mouth, one hand unbuttoning the front of her shirt, and smiled. “We’ll shower afterward.”
Soon, she was pushed down onto the sofa by Ji Pei. The other woman was draped over her chest like an unweaned kitten. Jiang Xianhan stroked Ji Pei’s soft hair, staring at her beautiful eyes. Ji Pei’s eyes were perfectly beautiful peach blossom eyes. When aroused, they flickered with a hazy moisture.
But the next second, Jiang Xianhan was stunned. Two large teardrops fell onto Jiang Xianhan’s body. Ji Pei licked her lips and couldn’t help but start crying. “Jiang Xianhan… I don’t know how…”
Ji Pei always thought she rarely cried and wasn’t a weepy person, but today, it was as if she had suddenly become incontinent of tears. She hugged Jiang Xianhan and cried weakly. “I can’t do it… I’ve never done it. I’m afraid I’ll hurt you…”
Jiang Xianhan wiped away the shimmering tears from the corner of Ji Pei’s eyes with the back of her hand, tenderly touching her eyes with her lips, and softly comforted her. “Don’t be afraid. I’m not afraid of pain. You can do anything you want to me.”
“No…” Ji Pei buried her entire face in the hollow of Jiang Xianhan’s shoulder, sobbing and choking. “Am I useless? I can’t even do this right. Do you think I’m stupid and want to break up with me? I don’t want to break up with you…”
Jiang Xianhan couldn’t help but laugh. “Why are you talking nonsense while crying? Who said anything about breaking up with you?” She gently used her tongue to lick away the hot tears from the corner of Ji Pei’s eyes. Her palm rested on Ji Pei’s back, gently patting her over and over. “It’s okay if you don’t know how to do it, but don’t say the words ‘break up’ again. I don’t like hearing them.”
Ji Pei rubbed her tears onto Jiang Xianhan’s shoulder and said tearfully, “But I haven’t made any preparations. What if you don’t like it and want to… um, um, um, um… with me? What then…”
Jiang Xianhan looked at the scabbed wound on the back of her hand and finally understood why Ji Pei was somewhat resistant to this kind of thing. Every time she got hurt, it seemed to be inextricably linked to Ji Pei, so Ji Pei was afraid of being heavy-handed and hurting her in this matter.
“Then follow the method you like.” Jiang Xianhan extended a finger, pressing it against Ji Pei’s soft and hot lips. The pad of her thumb slowly stroked her lower lip. “If you’re afraid of hurting me, try with your mouth first.”
