Peach Blossom Dual Cultivation - Chapter 1: The Rich and Beautiful Fiancée
Western Yunnan Province, Feiyun City.
The moon hangs atop the willow branches; lovers meet after dusk.
As the city lights begin to sparkle, Zhou Lang steps into the most upscale restaurant in the city with indescribable excitement.
At just over twenty years old, Zhou Lang sports short hair, has an average build with slightly tanned skin, and is currently a junior at the Medical School of Western Yunnan University.
His family was once prominent, but now, he is the sole remaining member of the Zhou family.
“Sir, how many in your party? Do you have a reservation?”
As soon as he enters the lobby, a waitress dressed in a maid outfit approaches him with a slight bow.
Although the waitress is petite, she boasts a generous figure. As she bends forward, a glimpse of fair skin is revealed, and her ample bosom quivers slightly, making for an enticing sight.
“This high-end restaurant truly stands out; even the waitresses are stunning. No wonder the wealthy are willing to spend tens of thousands for a meal here,” Zhou Lang thinks to himself, smiling slightly as he says, “Private room number 8. My friend is already waiting for me.”
“Please follow me, sir.”
A hint of surprise flashes in the waitress’s eyes as she leads Zhou Lang toward room number 8.
Inside the private room, the lighting is soft. A beautiful woman wearing sunglasses sits gracefully with her legs crossed.
She appears to be in her early twenties, with long hair cascading over her shoulders. She’s dressed in a white camisole and black shorts. Her ample chest pushes the camisole upward, giving a tantalizing impression as if ready to spill out.
Her legs are incredibly long and adorned with sheer stockings, exuding extreme allure that would make any man want to reach out and touch them.
What’s even more striking is her classic oval face, fair skin, and bright, expressive eyes. Her lips are full, red, and incredibly seductive.
A diamond necklace adorns her neck, exuding an air of luxury—a classic example of a rich and beautiful woman.
“Such beauty should only exist in the heavens; it’s rare to see on earth. Ye Qianqian is even more gorgeous than on TV! My grandfather truly had the foresight to choose such an enchanting wife for me!”
Zhou Lang’s eyes are almost glued to her. Thinking about their relationship, his heart races with anticipation. With such beauty to warm his bed, what more could a man desire?
“You must be Zhou Lang?”
The beauty removes her sunglasses and glances at Zhou Lang as he enters, her tone somewhat arrogant. Her voice is melodious, like heavenly music, but carries a chilly undertone.
“Yes.”
Zhou Lang nods enthusiastically and sits opposite her, saying excitedly, “Ye Qianqian, have you changed your mind?”
“Changed my mind about what?”
Ye Qianqian asks, not even granting him another glance.
“About becoming my wife. I enrolled in Western Yunnan University just to find you, traveling thousands of miles to get here. Over the past three years, I’ve visited your home many times, but your bodyguards never believed I was your fiancĂ© and wouldn’t let me in. Even though I left my phone number, you never contacted me.”
Zhou Lang continues passionately, “When I received your call today saying you wanted to meet, I was over the moon… I…”
“Becoming your wife? Are you out of your mind?”
Ye Qianqian interrupts coldly.
“Do you think you’re worthy?”
“But our grandfathers arranged our marriage years ago,” Zhou Lang quickly replies.
“I even have the original marriage contract signed personally by both of them.”
“That’s ancient history and doesn’t count anymore. Look at the vast difference in our statuses,” Ye Qianqian retorts.
“My father is the CEO of Zhongtian Group, and I’m a well-known celebrity. And you? You’re just a poor student still in school, a nobody trying to reach above your station.”
Boom!
Hearing Ye Qianqian’s words, Zhou Lang feels his mind explode. He never expected his so-called fiancĂ©e to say such hurtful things upon their first meeting.
However, Ye Qianqian isn’t entirely wrong. He is a poor student who has to work part-time at a bar to support his studies, while she is a wildly popular singer earning hundreds of thousands per appearance.
They are worlds apart—one in the heavens, one on earth.
“If you have no intention of marrying me, why did you ask me here?”
Zhou Lang asks, trying to regain his composure as he looks at Ye Qianqian.
When he received Ye Qianqian’s call earlier, he thought she wanted to try dating and see if they were compatible. Reality, however, was far from his expectations.
“I called you here to take back the marriage contract so you would stop barging into my family’s villa and disturbing our lives,” Ye Qianqian snorts.
“Is this also your father’s idea?”
Zhou Lang stares directly at her.
“Exactly. My father never agreed to this marriage. He wants you to take a good look at yourself and see if you’re worthy of me!”
Ye Qianqian’s tone grows even colder and more arrogant.
“This is outrageous!”
Being repeatedly insulted, Zhou Lang’s anger flares up. He says, “I won’t give you the marriage contract now, but we can dissolve our engagement. Tomorrow, I’ll publish a notice annulling our engagement, and we’ll have nothing to do with each other anymore.”
“It’s not up to you!”
Ye Qianqian retorts coldly, then takes out her phone and makes a call, saying, “You can proceed.”
Before Zhou Lang can grasp what’s happening, a young man in a suit enters aggressively with three burly men.
“What are you doing?”
Sensing danger, Zhou Lang stands up.
“Qianqian is my woman,” the man in the suit says, wrapping his arm around Ye Qianqian’s slender waist and glaring at Zhou Lang with a sinister smile.
“Let me tell you, my name is Nie Yuanxiong, and my father is the deputy mayor. You’re not qualified to compete with me for a woman. You’d better hand over that so-called marriage contract willingly!”
“I won’t give it to you…”
Before Zhou Lang can finish speaking, one of Nie Yuanxiong’s men kicks him to the ground.
They hold him down firmly as Nie Yuanxiong retrieves the somewhat yellowed marriage contract from Zhou Lang’s pocket and hands it to Ye Qianqian.
“Zhou Lang, from now on, there’s nothing between us. If you try to contact me again or spread rumors that I’m your fiancĂ©e, I’ll have someone break your legs,” Ye Qianqian says, then tears the marriage contract into pieces right before his eyes.
“Ye Qianqian, you’ve gone too far… Your grandfather, Ye Aotian, was a legendary hero; how could he have a descendant like you? Do you think just because you’re rich and beautiful that I have to marry you? If I had known you were like this, I wouldn’t have sought you out at all!”
Watching the marriage contract turn into fragments and fall to the ground, Zhou Lang’s eyes redden, and he roars in anger. Enough is enough; his blood is boiling at this point.
“You still dare to talk back? Teach him a lesson!”
Nie Yuanxiong commands.
Nie Yuanxiong cursed, and the three men under his command immediately began beating Zhou Lang with their fists and feet. Ye Qianqian watched Zhou Lang without any expression on her face.
The soundproofing of the private room was excellent, so no one outside knew what was happening inside.
A few minutes later, Zhou Lang was left with a bruised and swollen face, while Nie Yuanxiong, Ye Qianqian, and their group left without a care.
“Those despicable people!”
Zhou Lang struggled to get up from the floor, blood still dripping from his nose. It trickled down from the corner of his mouth and onto his neck.
Around his neck hung an old copper coin, tied with a red string. When his blood touched the coin, it suddenly emitted a faint multicolored glow.
However, the glow disappeared instantly, and Zhou Lang didn’t notice it. He stumbled out of the private room.
Zhou Lang was quite sturdy, so although he had taken a beating, the injuries were mostly superficial. After leaving the restaurant, he planned to take a taxi back to school. Having been an orphan since childhood, he was no stranger to getting beaten up, and these injuries weren’t severe enough to warrant a hospital visit. Besides, he only had 800 yuan to his name, and a hospital visit would likely deplete his funds, making it difficult for him to cover his living expenses.
He tried to hail several taxis in a row, but seeing his battered and bruised appearance, the drivers all refused to take him. With no other choice, he had to endure the pain and slowly make his way back to school on foot.
It was summer break, so there were very few students staying on campus. His three roommates had all gone home, leaving him alone. This was a relief, as he didn’t have to explain his injuries to anyone. After all, who would believe that he had a marriage contract with Ye Qianqian?
By this time, it was already past 8 PM, and Zhou Lang’s stomach was growling with hunger. Fortunately, there was some hot water he had prepared earlier in the dorm, so he made instant noodles to fill his stomach.
After taking a shower, he gritted his teeth and applied some herbal oil to the bruises on his body.
The summer weather was sweltering, and even though it was nighttime, it still felt unbearably hot. He lay on his bed wearing only shorts, his upper body bare.
Remembering Ye Qianqian’s hurtful words and Nie Yuanxiong’s threats, the hot-blooded Zhou Lang found it impossible to sleep.
“Those despicable people! One day, I’ll make them pay for the humiliation I suffered today,” he vowed silently to himself.
But soon, his spirits dampened. Ye Qianqian was a popular singer, her family was extremely wealthy, and she had connections with Nie Yuanxiong, the deputy mayor’s son. Did he have the ability to avenge today’s disgrace?
His mind swirled with these thoughts until after 1 AM when he finally drifted off into a fitful sleep.
Zhou Lang didn’t know how long he had slept when he suddenly woke up. He found himself in a large, elegantly furnished room, sitting naked in a wooden tub, soaking in a bath.
The tub was filled with steaming hot water, but it wasn’t just ordinary water—it had a faint medicinal scent, and soaking in it felt incredibly soothing.
“Where am I?”
Zhou Lang panicked, realizing he was in an unfamiliar place he had never seen before.
“Master, may I help you with your bath?”
Suddenly, a voice as clear as a silver bell rang out. A young girl, barefoot and wearing only a bathrobe, walked toward him with a cheerful smile.
The girl looked to be about eighteen or nineteen years old, yet she was exceptionally tall and voluptuous, standing around 1.7 meters. Her body was curvaceous, with an S-shaped figure, and her short bathrobe barely concealed her charms. Her fair chest and long legs were visible.
Despite her seductive appearance, the girl had an innocent face, exuding a refined and classical beauty, like a maiden from a painting.
Zhou Lang had always considered Ye Qianqian to be incredibly beautiful, but compared to this girl, Ye Qianqian paled in comparison. In terms of appearance, complexion, and temperament, this girl was superior in every way.
How could he possibly resist when such a stunning beauty offered to bathe him?
Realizing that he wasn’t even wearing shorts, Zhou Lang quickly pressed his legs together and stammered, “W-what master… slave? Who are you? Where… where am I?”
