Zhou Lang said as he approached the fallen Li Qi.

“But don’t think you can be so smug. You’ve crossed me, and you’ll pay for it dearly.”

With that, he slunk away.

“Zhou Lang, thank you. Please have a seat,” Li Mengxue said, still shaken but somewhat relieved. Zhou Lang sat down on the sofa in the office.

“How did you know what was happening between Li Qi and me? How did you know I was in danger?”

Li Mengxue asked, sitting down beside him. As a seasoned businesswoman, she quickly composed herself.
