Peach (Lily ABO) - Chapter 10
The next time Su Qing saw Molly, she was acting coy with a male Beta old enough to be her father. The ginger-pink square-necked French dress she wore gave her a few more touches of elegance than when she’d seduced Su Qing in the office, but the way she demanded gifts still exuded a cheap, insincere air.
Su Qing, while trying on a necklace, scrutinized Molly through the display case filled with expensive jewelry. She could clearly see a hint of barely concealed impatience in Molly’s eyes.
However, the male Beta, who looked like he wanted to devour her whole, clearly didn’t notice this, his eyes fixated on her swaying br3asts. If it weren’t for a slight awareness of the sales clerk, Su Qing suspected he’d bury his face in that deep cleavage the next second.
“They all look good! I’ll take them all!” The male Beta, showing off his wealth, pulled out his bank card.
“Thank you, big brother!” Molly stood on her tiptoes to plant a kiss on the male Beta, deliberately brushing her br3asts against him and even pressing into him. The male Beta’s eyes glazed over from the teasing, completely baffled as to why Zhou Nan would speak up for her.
Zhou Nan was her informant. Before finding Zhou Nan, Su Qing had never imagined that “Molly” was actually the little scammer’s real name, and that she even had some “fame” in the circles.
“Molly? Oh, I know her. A little slut with nothing but money on her mind. She fools those idiot male Betas like they’re her grandkids… Where to find her? She’s been slippery lately. At night, she’s either at HOLA or somewhere else. During the day, she’s probably fleecing some rich mark in a high-end store!”
Zhou Nan spat out a sunflower seed shell, cautiously observing Su Qing’s expression. “What’s up? Did that little slut cause trouble for you? Boss Su, um… if it’s not a big deal, please cut her some slack. Don’t bother with her.”
“You and her…” Su Qing looked at Zhou Nan in surprise. Zhou Nan was one of the few female Alphas among her informants, very professional, and always handled leads in a businesslike manner. She had never spoken up for anyone with such raw emotion before.
“Don’t misunderstand, I have no relation to her. She wouldn’t even look at someone like me.” The informant lowered her head to glance at her own clothes, self-deprecatingly, “But she’s not a bad person, really.”
“Sister, what a coincidence!” Su Qing had only looked at her for a few seconds before Molly noticed her, as if she had eyes in the back of her head.
She showed no panic at being caught red-handed as a scammer. Instead, she excitedly waved at Su Qing, then released the fat sheep whose pocket was already loose, and ran over to hug Su Qing’s arm.
“Not a coincidence. I came specifically to find you.” Su Qing said, trying to pull her arm out of Molly’s embrace.
“Sister!” Molly pouted, calling out to her. Her eyes, looking up from below, were heartbreakingly charming, carrying a hint of tears that made one want to pity her. Su Qing looked at the two diamond bracelets tightly clutched in Molly’s hand and felt genuinely sorry for the male Beta who must have wanted to skin her alive right then.
“Brother, I’m sorry, the person I’m waiting for has arrived. I’ll be going now!” She even added fuel to the fire.
“Going? Where do you think you’re going? I’ve spent hundreds of thousands on you these past two days, and all I got was holding hands and kissing your face? Are you taking me for a fool?!”
The male Beta reached out to grab Molly’s hair. Molly couldn’t dodge. Her head was yanked sideways, but she still clung desperately to Su Qing’s arm.
“But I have to pay the money back!” she cried out to the male Beta, tears rolling down her nose. A simple sentence, yet it shifted all responsibility to Su Qing.
The male Beta’s face grew even uglier. In the competitive relationship for Omegas, even in modern society, Alphas always had precedence over Betas. This was almost an unwritten rule of the game. As long as this female Alpha, who clearly looked formidable, chose to protect this little slut, he would have no choice but to swallow his anger.
“It’s fine,” Su Qing wiped a tear from Molly’s nose with her thumb, placing it on her red lips, savoring the rich peach sweetness.
“Indeed, when you spend money, you should enjoy yourself,” she nodded at the dumbfounded male Beta, then pushed Molly into his arms, “Go on, keep him company, and be sensible.”
