Perfect Sex Sequel - Chapter 31
Toho Precision Electronics Co. is located about 20 minutes by car from Hirosaki City in Aomori Prefecture, near the Owani Onsen.
On the shores of the Hirakawa River, within the Owani Onsen district, a new three-story building stood. This was likely the company I was going to visit.
The appointment was set for 1 PM.
As I gazed out the taxi window at the Toho Precision Electronics building, I headed toward the Owani Royal Hotel, which had been reserved for me by the director. As expected, this famous hot spring area in Aomori had few tall buildings, possibly to preserve the scenic views. The tallest was only five stories. The Owani Royal Hotel was located in the heart of the downtown area.
Since the director had arranged for an early check-in, even though it was still before noon, the hotel accepted me without any issues. The room was a spacious corner suite facing Hirakawa on the top floor, a bright twin room with both Japanese and Western-style elements.
I sat on the sofa in the room and began to go through the materials for Toho Precision Electronics Co. that I had received from Manager Miyama.
Toho Precision Electronics has 111 employees, including the CEO. It was established as a corporation two and a half years ago. Before that, it was a subcontractor for the major company Sherman Electric, operating under the name Toho Communications Equipment. It manufactured LCD panels and was a mid-sized company with 50 employees. Their research and development department succeeded in producing a 20-inch 8K LCD panel ahead of Sherman Electric’s own development team, which was actively working on it.
Sherman Electric was impressed by their technological capabilities and decided to bring them in as a direct subsidiary. The president and employees of Toho Communications Equipment, who had succeeded in the development, were absorbed, and the company was established as a subsidiary of the manufacturer. The company’s name was changed from Toho Communications Equipment to Toho Precision Electronics. The location was also chosen by the parent company, Sherman Electric, to serve as both a workplace and a hot spring resort for the employees and their families.
Currently, full high-definition digital broadcasts have a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels, totaling 2 million pixels. 4K, which surpasses that, has a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels, totaling 8 million pixels. Super High Definition 8K, which exceeds even that, has a resolution of 7680×4320 pixels, totaling 33 million pixels. For reference, 1K HD resolution is about 1280×720 pixels with roughly 100,000 pixels.
So, how noticeable is the difference between standard 2K Full HD and 8K Super HD in terms of visual quality?
For example, let’s say I mount a 200-inch LCD panel on the window of the room I’m currently in and display the view of Hirakawa and the surrounding scenery outside using both the current mainstream 2K Full HD and the next-generation 8K Super HD.
If a guest enters a room where the 2K Full HD image is displayed, they might not notice much at first, but as their eyes adjust, they’ll be able to tell, “Ah, this is a close-up view,” or “Wow, that’s a huge TV.” However, when a guest enters a room with an 8K image displayed on the window, the realism of the image would likely be so great that even if they get close, they wouldn’t immediately recognize that what they’re seeing is the image of the scenery on the LCD panel.
To give an extreme example, the rough analog TV with its coarse scanning lines, which is visible on CRT sets, is equivalent to today’s Full HD. The Full HD we were amazed by when it was first introduced is now 8K, and there is quite a significant difference between the two.
The term “pixel” used here can be simply understood as the number of pixels on an LCD panel.
The letter “K” in this context comes from the initial letters of kilometers or kilograms, and it represents approximately one million pixels in high-definition. “2K” represents a Full HD resolution of 20 million pixels, twice the number of pixels in standard HD. “4K” represents a resolution of 40 million pixels, and above that is 8K, which has a resolution of about 80 million pixels. By the way, this “K” is not related to the “K” used for strikeouts in baseball scorebooks.
Sherman Electric is one of Japan’s top three consumer electronics manufacturers. The fact that Sherman Electric is treating Toho Precision Electronics so favorably indicates that they highly value its technological capabilities and future potential.
Toho Precision Electronics is considering delivering either our company’s mobile multifunction device A30 or Stardust’s mobile multifunction device ST-100DX. When comparing performance and portability, our A30 is overwhelmingly superior. Given this, it’s difficult to understand why they are also considering Stardust’s ST-100DX. Is there some special reason for this?
With a sigh, I closed the documents about Toho Precision Electronics.
After finishing a light lunch at the hotel restaurant, I arrived at the front of Toho Precision Electronics’ office at 12:50 p.m. I could still smell the faint scent of paint from the brand-new office building.
At the gate in front of the building, there was a security building where I completed the formalities for the meeting. The security measures were quite strict. Surveillance cameras with automatic tracking were installed at various points on the gates and walls. A security guard, already aware of my arrival, guided me, removed the automatic lock at the entrance, and took me to the reception.
“My name is Kureha Kosuke from Yuuki Scientific Industries. I have a meeting scheduled with Kawahara-san, the Sales Director.”
I bowed to the receptionists and handed them my business card. There were two women at the reception. Both had beauty and style that were fitting for representing the company. One wore a light-colored suit with the name tag Yamazawa Kumiko on it. The other one had Wakaki Yoko.
Both of their looks and figures were impressive; they were quite a pair women. They are much too attractive for a hot spring town like this.
“Kureha-san, I’ve received word from Director Kawahara. Someone will be here to escort you soon, please wait for a moment.”
Yamazawa Kumiko, receiving my business card, lowered her body deeply and bowed. She was clearly well-mannered.
“I apologize for the trouble.”
I also bent at the waist and bowed to the two of them. Yamazawa Kumiko and Wakaki Yoko looked at me with smiles, their cheeks slightly flushed.
Then the elevator arrived, and a woman in a company suit appeared.
Wow, that’s good…
I looked at the woman, and my tentacle twitched. She was about 165 cm tall. Since she was wearing heels, she was probably around 160 cm in reality. However, since I was wearing shoes, I was about 185 cm. Yamazawa Kumiko and Wakaki Yoko bent at the waist and bowed their heads to the woman.
The woman had a beautiful face and figure, with slender ankles visible from her heels. Just like Saori and Kanae, women with slim waists and tight, slender ankles tend to be more sensitive during that time.
“Are you Kureha-sama from Yuuki Science?” The woman asked as she approached me.
“Yes, I am Kureha Kosuke from the Sales Department of Yuuki Scientific Industries,” I replied, bowing and introducing myself.
“I am Nakano Ayaka from our Sales Department. Director Kawahara is waiting for you. Allow me to guide you.”
The woman who introduced herself as Nakano Ayaka bowed her head.
The two women at the reception were also attractive, but Nakano Ayaka was even more beautiful.
I bowed to the two women at the reception and got into the elevator with Nakano Ayaka. Inside the elevator, I looked at Nakano Ayaka’s back as she stood in front of me. A few stray hairs could be seen at the nape of her neck, where her hair was tied up. Her skin was smooth and pale. She had a city-like vibe, with a small, perky butt and a flawless figure.
The slim, white body of my beloved Kanae appeared in my mind. Her two cute virgin br3asts and n1pples. Her cute belly button. Her toned, slender waist. And…
The sound of the elevator stopping with a ‘ping’ snapped me back to reality.
That was dangerous, that was dangerous… I almost got a massive erection…
I gently shook my head.
“This way, the offices are on the 5th floor.”
Nakano Ayaka led the way, stepping out of the elevator and holding the door open until I stepped out.
I was guided by Nakano Ayaka into the Sales Department. There were five employees in the department.
“I apologize for the interruption.”
I bowed to the employees in the Sales Department. They stood up and bowed in return.
This is quite an impressive company…
The reception, Nakano Ayaka, and the employees. A company with employees who are this well-mannered is rare. I can imagine the character of the president and manager.
“Ah, look who’s here! Welcome!”
Guided by Nakano Ayaka, I entered the director’s office, where a man who seemed to be Director Kawahara stood up from his chair and extended his hand.
“I’m Kawahara, the Sales Director of this company.”
Director Kawahara took out his business card from a case adorned with the company emblem.
“I am Kureha Kosuke of Yuuki Scientific Industries.”
I shook hands with Director Kawahara and handed him my business card.
“Please, take a seat!”
Director Kawahara smiled and gestured towards the sofa.
“Thank you very much. I appreciate you taking time out of your busy schedule for me today.”
Before sitting down, I said this and bowed to Director Kawahara.
“Thank you very much for considering the use of our A30. Please also let me extend my regards from President Yuki and Director Sawamura from our side.”
I said that and bowed my head again.
“Yes, yes! It must have been about five years ago, right? I met Sawamura-san at the Science Expo in Makuhari. I was left with the impression that he was quite a bold person!”
Director Kawahara said that and laughed.
While this was happening, Nakano Ayaka, who had shown me the way, brought tea. She knelt down on the carpet and placed it in front of me and Director Kawahara.
“Ah, Kureha-san. This is Nakano Ayaka, an employee who tested both the A30 from your company and the Stardust 100DX.”
Director Kawahara said that and looked at Nakano Ayaka, who was placing the tea. At his words, Nakano Ayaka smiled.
“I see. I apologize for the trouble.”
I bowed to Nakano Ayaka.
“No…”
Nakano Ayaka gave me a small bow with a smile and then sat down next to Director Kawahara.
“Now, let me get right to it. After comparing the Yuuki Industries 41A-30 and Stardust’s ST-100DX, your 41A-30 excels in compactness, design, and print quality. The Stardust 100DX, on the other hand, outperforms in terms of paper storage capacity and print speed. In our company’s survey, more than 80% supported your 41A-30…”
Nakano Ayaka finished speaking and looked up from the document she was reading.
“Hmm, as expected… The A30 from your company is undeniably convenient to carry around. For the Sales Department, its biggest advantage is being able to take it anywhere with a laptop.”
Director Kawahara nodded several times in agreement with the comparison and survey results that Nakano Ayaka had mentioned.
“Now, the only thing left to discuss is the delivery price.”
Nakano Ayaka gave a small bow to the director.
“Hmm… Actually… Well, this is something that has been openly shared with both our sales teams… There is just too much of a price difference between Yuuki Science and Stardust…”
Director Kawahara picked up his tea from the table and took a sip.
“The Stardust 100DX has a delivery price of exactly 30,000 yen, with a 5-year warranty and 3 sets of replacement ink per unit. This is quite attractive, Kureha-san…”
Director Kawahara said this and fixed his gaze on me.
“………”
I silently listened to Director Kawahara’s words. Nakano Ayaka gazed at me with a serious expression.
“The Yuuki Science A30 is certainly excellent. If possible, we would love to provide the A30… However, the price of 44,000 yen is…”
Director Kawahara said that and gave a small shake of his head.
“Indeed, as you said. The price of 44,000 yen is not cheap, even from the perspective of delivering in bulk. We are fully aware of this on our side as well.”
I stared at Director Kawahara and said.
“However, the Stardust 100DX, according to our quality inspection results, has a head lifespan of one to one and a half years with an average of 100 double-sided prints per day. As for our A30, it has a durability of at least 13 years with 100 double-sided photo prints per day. That’s why we offer 10 years of maintenance-free service for the head.”
I said confidently.
At the very least, this is a masterpiece I designed, built with the full strength of our lab. The price has been drastically reduced for our partner companies.
“Yes, yes. I completely understand that…”
Director Kawahara nodded several times as he said that.
“What do you think? We are engineers as well, and we would like to handle as much of the maintenance as possible ourselves…”
Director Kawahara said that, then uncrossed his arms and leaned forward.
“We’re willing to add another 16,000 yen, bringing the price to 60,000 yen per unit. Let’s increase the quantity to 100 units. And, would you be able to provide us with a ‘Spider’ tool for maintenance for each unit? Please!”
Director Kawahara looked at me and said.
(So that’s what you were after…)
I sighed inwardly.
Despite the 14,000 yen price difference, I now understood why they were considering our A30 while holding off on the Stardust 100DX. From Toho Precision Electronics’ perspective, they recognized the A30’s performance, but they also wanted to acquire the Spider tool necessary for its maintenance. That’s why they wanted to purchase the A30 even at 60,000 yen.
However, this is an absolutely impossible request.
Even within the company, only a few select engineers, including myself, are allowed to disassemble or repair the A30. This is because the internal components of the A30 are company secrets. That’s the purpose of the Spider tool.
“Director Kawahara… The internal components of the A30, and the Spider tool used for its maintenance, are critical company secrets. This is to prevent not only other companies but also foreign firms from copying or infringing on our patents.”
I glanced back and forth between Director Kawahara and Nakano Ayaka.
Director Kawahara said they were planning to increase the A30’s planned delivery to 100 units. Even at 60,000 yen per unit, that would amount to a 6 million yen contract. However, I could not possibly give away the internal structure of the A30 and the Spider for just 6 million yen. Even if the company gave its approval, my pride as the developer would not allow it.
If the company were to approve it, I would resign from Yuuki Science and protect my pride without hesitation.
“I am the designer and developer responsible for the A30 and Spider. Of course, I take pride as an engineer who pioneered the design and development of a 3.5 cm multifunction device and made maintenance impossible without using the Spider. The A30 and Spider are the world-class multifunction devices I created.”
I stared at Director Kawahara.
“In the future, the A30 will be used by various companies and individuals. If we were to give the Spider to these companies or individuals to disassemble the A30, it would lead to low-quality knockoffs being mass-produced and spread around the world, especially in countries like South Korea and China. Even if my company permits it, I, as the designer and developer, will not allow it. That is my pride as an engineer.”
I said that and bowed to Director Kawahara.
“Hmm…”
Director Kawahara was staring at me with his arms crossed.
“Director Kawahara, it is with great regret that I inform you that, personally, I cannot accept your company’s offer.”
I bowed to Director Kawahara and stood up from the sofa.
“Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to meet with me. If you have any further requests regarding the A30’s price or anything else, please feel free to directly contact Director Sawamura or President Yuuki.”
I bowed to Director Kawahara and Nakano Ayaka, then moved towards the door. Nakano Ayaka stood up and attempted to open it.
“Kureha-san, you are amazing! You are a model and a reflection of what a true engineer should be! I just wanted to say that.”
Director Kawahara stood up from the sofa and said that to my back.
I faced Director Kawahara and bent my waist, bowing again.
“Kureha-sama, please forgive Kawahara’s rudeness…”
As I left the building of Toho Precision Electronics, Nakano Ayaka bent at the waist and bowed to me.
“Haha! No, I suppose it wasn’t meant to be this time… But I did receive such praise from Director Kawahara in the end. It is the ultimate reward for me as an engineer. Director Kawahara is also a wonderful person.”
I said that and scratched my head.
“I also had the pleasure of meeting the beautiful receptionists and you, Nakano-san. That alone has been a great gain for me personally.”
I said that with a smile to Nakano Ayaka. The receptionists, Kuniko Yamasawa and Yoko Wakaki, noticed me and bowed. I waved at them with a beaming smile and bowed.
“Oh my! Haha!”
Nakano Ayaka laughed, alternating her gaze between the two receptionists and me.
“Are you returning tomorrow?”
Nakano Ayaka asked me, staring at me intently.
“No, I’ll be flying back the day after tomorrow in the evening. Personally, I’d like to return quickly to see my wife and daughter. However, since it’s the president and director’s kindness, I’ll relax in the hot springs and enjoy some good drinks at a place with beautiful women… Haha… Honestly, I’m more excited about that than the business side.”
I laughed and said to Nakano Ayaka.
“Well then, excuse me. I wish your company continued growth and everyone’s happiness.”
I bowed to Nakano Ayaka and then deeply bowed to the headquarters of Toho Precision Electronics.
“Then…”
I said that and turned on my heels, walking toward the hot spring town. Nakano Ayaka was watching me from in front of the building.
Well, it’s fine… I’m not so low as to sell my beloved child. I’ll just get a contract with another company to make up for it.
I muttered that in my mind.
・・・・・
I returned to the hotel and explained the situation to Director Sawamura.
“I see… Well, that’s okay! But Kureha, remember this—Director Kawahara is a remarkable person, both as a technician and a leader. Keep that in mind. Anyway, take it easy. Tonight and tomorrow, we’ll all come over and enjoy ourselves with Kanae and Sanae. Everyone’s looking forward to it!”
The director said this while laughing.
Phew, what a relief…
In my mind, I could picture the secretarial and sales department staff rushing in, pulling Kanae and Sanae into a whirlwind of laughter.
“Hahaha…”
I laughed as I pictured it in my mind.
